This elegant rustic 4 bedroom 4 and a half bath lakefront log cabin is a real charmer. Great attention has been taken in the construction and interior finishes and furnishings of the home to provide guests with an authentic mountain log cabin experience. On the main level there is a foyer with a half bath from which you enter into a great room overlooking the lake. There are two fireboxes in the huge stone fireplace, with one facing the great room and the other the kitchen/ dining room area. The open kitchen has granite countertops and is well thought out with professional grade appliances overlooking the dining area which seats 8 and accesses the outdoor deck.
The master suite with its King size bed is comfortably appointed is also on this level and has French doors leading to its own private balcony. Upstairs there is a loft with a ping pong table and two more bedrooms each with a cushioned window seat. These two bedrooms share a bath in between. This level also has an oversized bonus room that is above the carport area. Downstairs on the lower level there is an additional bedroom with a queen size bed and bath with a custom steam Jacuzzi shower and a separate living room / bar area.
Outside there are balconies and decks just about anyplace you look. With 1,300 square feet of uncovered deck and 1,700 square feet of covered deck you can just sit back in your rocker and enjoy the lake's beauty and breezes from nearly anywhere in this spacious and gracious home.
Down by the lake there is a private dock, outdoor firepit and seating area. Life is good, so come any enjoy all we have to offer.
We are a short drive to both Cashiers and Highlands where you will find great antiquing, restaurants and shops. The area is often referred to as "the land of waterfalls", five of which feed Lake Glenville situated at 3542 feet above sea level with 26 miles of shoreline and pristine mountain lake waters.
Summer is Grand, and the lake is the place to cool off and have fun. There is never a dull moment whether waterskiing, viewing waterfalls, fishing, hiking, camping, shopping or just relaxing. Bearfoot Lodge and the area provide special memories that no other place can match! There is truly something for everyone to do. Let the kids go down to the dock for a while. They can swim & fish while you sit on the porch rocker and just read a good book. Go for a hike and view a waterfall of magnificent beauty; visit a local town and go antiquing; view mountain art at one of the many craft shows. Golf at one of the local top class courses.
