The house is set among large pines & oak trees that carefully preserve the feeling of being lost in the great outdoors. The front porch is great for getting a tan or star gazing, as it is both cover and uncovered. There is also a gas BBQ for those times when you want to just do a casual meal outside.
There are miles and miles of hiking trails, a pond, waterfalls, and endless wildlife including but not limited to elk, deer, and wild turkeys to name a few. Remember these are wild creatures so be careful and watch out for your young ones. Perfect home for family get togethers

Our family of 3 couples and 3 children stayed a week at this home in August 2011. The beauty of the house and surroundings far surpasses the pictures. The owner Ed and his daughter Krista were very thoughtful and answered my many questions beforehand. Krista met us at the property and showed us in detail how to operate everything in the house. The views even from the couch are breathtaking. We sat on the spacious porch and listened to hummingbirds daily...sometimes that was the only sound outside for hours. During our stay, deer, wild turkeys, and even a bear were spotted. The 3 master suites are huge and it was great for each couple to have their own bath. Even the kids had one. The kitchen is a dream and well stocked, not only with spices, but with every dish and cooking tool you might need. It was unanimous in my family that this was the best house we could have found!

This is the PERFECT mountain home. We loved every minute of our 3 week stay. The house was comfortable and clean, the setting was gorgeous, and the owners were extremely kind and helpful. I'm sure we will stay here again and again. If you want to see wildlife, well, have your cameras ready because we saw it all! It was the best Colorado setting you could ask for!

My family has stayed at the Ranch several times in both summer + winter and it’s great. The house is adjacent to a large meadow with lots of animals around and watching the sun come up while having our morning coffee on the porch. The house is in a very private area but only minutes from town. The gourmet kitchen and dinning area is adjacent to the great room so I am always part of the family even when cooking.

Thanks so much for the use of your lovely home! I can honestly say I have NEVER seen a better equiped kitchen, and it really was the perfect place for us to prepare all of our meals. Our only regret was that we didn't check the house before going grocery shopping to see that you already had every spice and condiment known to man! The great room was wonderful, and your house served as the gathering place for all of our relatives each evening after our many excursions. We had a crew gathered around the kitchen table, a few at the bar, the little ones at the card table playing dominos, the tired ones laying on the couch, and the beer drinkers sitting outside on the porch. We got to watch the deer at night (no bears were spotted...although we saw their "evidence"), and the kids spent one afternoon in the freezing lake while the smallest ones enjoyed the beach area. We had plenty of sleeping room and everone was very happy with the huge bedrooms. We had a wonderful time catching up with family from across the nation, and certainly appreciated the use of your fabulous home. We couldn't have asked for a more comfortable or beautiful place to stay! We hope to do it again soon, and would love to stay with you again.
