Why the Owner Chose Chapala

we first visited the area at the end of 2007 and decided this was THE place to eventually retire. The climate is subtropical - days are warm, nights are cool. In the winter, day time temperatures are in the 70's and nights are in the 60's. In summer, days are in the 80's, nights in the 70's. December is the coolest month - we need to shut the windows at night. May is the hottest, sometimes in the 90's. The rainy season is June 'til the end of September, but it usually only rains in the evening or very late afternoon. This is when the mountains turn green and it is absolutely beautiful. Trees and flowers bloom all year 'round.

The Unique Benefits of this House

The house is located outside of Ajijic on the side of a mountain with unbelievable views of both the lake and the mountains in all directions. It is very quiet - all houses in this area all walled and gated - but also very picturesque. Often you'll see a family herding their cows or horses down the road. Everyone is friendly - just say hola!
