I recently spent 2 1/2 weeks at this charming guest house. I was looking for a "retreat" from LA to work on some projects, and it turned out to be exactly what I was hoping for. It's a very creative space - full of light and charming detail. And very thought through for the comfort of a guest. I often came back after hikes at the nearby trails and just sat there looking out at the beautiful trees and garden through the huge living room windows. The bedroom (and bed) are beyond comfortable. There's a rocking chair and reading corner along with an (electric) stove adding ambiance to the bedroom. The desk nook is magical. There's a kitchenette with enough amenities for a vacation stay. Basically, you feel like you're a million miles away from the city, but really only a short jaunt over the hill. And the clean air and stunning views are rejuvenating. Plus Andrea and Peter are lovely and helpful hosts. Highest marks. Would recommend and would return here in a heartbeat.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

My wife and two sons stayed here for three days while we explored the Topanga area. It was perfect. The home easily slept four; it was well stocked for cooking; the owner provided a wonderful notebook on the area; and the views from the deck were breathtaking. We will definately stay here again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I stayed at this fantastic place for five months, and didn't regret a day. Close to the beach and to the 101, it's actually a pretty convenient LA location. Andrea and Peter were sensitive to my every need, and great hosts!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
