Location: Flagstaff, Canyon Country & Northeast, Arizona, USA (We are located approx 6 miles south of downtown Flagstaff)
Accommodations: Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Loft + Den, 2 Baths (Sleeps 7-9)
Keywords: cabin, woods, private, trees, treed, sedona, grand canyon, mountain, views, house, retreat,
Please review calendar for availability - it is always up to date. As you can see from my guest comments, our place is everything we say it is....truly a great cabin in the woods experience.
Come and enjoy a true rustic mountain cabin on over 1.5 acres of land.
Completely remodeled cabin includes scraped hard wood flooring, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, hickory cabinets, tiled showers, two large "trex" decks - front deck is covered and is 12' x 30' and rear deck is open and is 10' x 33'.
Cabin is fully covered in stained tongue and groove and includes a spectacular stone wood burning fireplace complete with gas line to get it started. Enjoy the relaxing hammock out front and watch the birds and other animals.
During the summer, enjoy the heard of elk that routinely travel through the back yard. Sit on the back deck and enjoy tremendous long range views through the trees - at night, tilt your head back and enjoy the brightest stars you will ever see. Like most cabins in Flagstaff, my place does not have air conditioning, however high temperatures in the summer rarely reach above the mid 80's and we get a tremendous breeze through our home due to the locations of windows and screen doors.
Cabin is located 6 miles south of Flagstaff in Kachina Village - just far enough from the city to be in the wilderness but close enough to enjoy a restaurant, movie, bowling, swimming, ice skating, etc....
Cabin is 30 minutes from Snowbowl and about 1.5 hours from the Grand Canyon and 20 minutes from Sunset Crater. Cabin is complete with a full list of activities and brochures of fun things to do.
I can promise you, you will not find a nicer more cozy and complete cabin in the Flagstaff area.

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2003
My wife and I purchased our cabin in 2003. We then spent the next 2.5 years working to completely remodel the cabin. We replaced everything inside the home from the kitchen to the bathrooms to the tongue and groove wood walls to the wood floors. We added the wood burning fireplace and also the covered deck out front and the dormers on the second floor to open up the loft area. It is great to look at the before and after photos.
We have both lived in the Valley of the Sun for over 25 years. While we love the Arizona weather, it is hard to resist the beautiful temperatures, blue skies and pine smell of Flagstaff. We really enjoy spending the summers and several weekends throughout the year at our cabin to enjoy wonderful family time.
Why the Owner Chose Flagstaff
We wanted a cabin that was outside of town in the heavily treed woods yet close enough to run into town and enjoy a nice dinner, catch a movie or visit one of the many festivals that occur throughout the year in Flagstaff. This cabin really provides all of that. We enjoy sitting on the front deck during the summer rains and grilling out back at night. Our views out the back are spectacular and we often see Elk in our backyard and eagles flying overhead.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
We have some amazing hiking trails right next to our community with access to national forest within walking distance. There is a great neighborhood park that has all the fun play structures and a basketball court. Sitting on the front deck and enjoying our morning coffee or relaxing on the hammock in the afternoon are two of our favorite relaxation activities.

The Weber's cabin is beautiful! It is as pretty as the photos. The cabin was very clean and well supplied wtih everything we might need to cook and relax. We loved the back deck overlooking the pines. So peaceful. Listening to the wind blow through the trees . . . The front deck is lovely as well with cozy furniture to cuddle up in and read a good book or chat with family. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Strombolis is a great little neighborhood Italian restaurant on Milton, the main road into Flagstaff. Excellent food and good prices. We came up to beat the Phoenix heat for a week and did some hiking and of course a trip to the Grand Canyon. The cabin was everything we expected. We will return to the Weber's cabin.

We stayed at this property for 5 nights and it wasn't enough! Cabin is remodeled perfectly. Very clean and well maintained. Loved sitting out on the private deck mornings and evenings. Kitchen has every gadget you need to cook all your meals. We took the ski lift to the top of Snowbowl, which had spectacular views. This is only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so if this is on your "to do" list, days are limited. Drove to Sedona one day and did some hiking and site seeing. We also took the Grand Canyon railway out of Williams. This is a must especially for families with children. Lot's of fun and adequate time to take the rim trail a ways. There's plenty of hiking in the Flagstaff area and the Information center at the train station is full of ideas and brochures. You won't be disappointed in this vacation home. We hope to go back again soon, and will certainly return to this wonderful cabin. Thanks Paula and Mark!

The owners are very nice and accomodating! Loved this house!! Everything we expected and then some! The place is beautifully decorated, very warm and inviting. We had 5 in our party and everyone slept comfortably with 1 bed to spare. Cooked breakfast daily and packed out for lunch on our many outings. So much to do within 1 1/2-2 hour drive; Grand Canyon, Oak Creek Canyon, Sedona, Snow Bowl, Slide Rock State Park, Walnut Canyon, Lowell Observatory, Horseback riding & more (just didn't have enough time). If you love the outdoors, like us, there's no end to the activities! A nature lovers mecca!

My husband and I planned a last minute get-away to the Grand Canyon with two of our friends that we rarely see due to now living in different states. When looking for places to stay, it was hard to find what we were looking for which was a small quaint cabin. Somehow I managed to find this cabin (literally the day before we needed it) and fortunately it was not booked. Paula and Mark were the nicest and most accommodating people and allowed us to book at the last minute! Without them allowing us to stay at their cabin, this very special trip would have not been the same! We had a really lovely time there and it was exactly what we were looking for. Even with neighbors on both sides, the cabin is super private because of the way it sits on the property. The backyard deck faces the forest, which is really cool, especially at night when observing the stars. The overall layout of the cabin is lovely for a small group. We all made some very special memories there. Thank you for making this possible and my apologies for the short notice in booking! Again thank you, thank you, and thank you!!!!

We so loved staying in your cabin in the forest community of Kachina. There was planty of room for us and the four children and it was very comfortable. Although there are neighbours once inside or on the deck with its lovely view you felt all alone. I'd always wanted to stay in an American log cabin and now I have. The location is excellent just a short drive from Flagstaff's many attraction. The Grand Canyon was well worth the two hour drive with snow and bright blue skies. The drive down Oak Creek Canyon to Sedona is also lovely. The kids particulaly liked the Meteor Crater and Sunset Volcano aswell as eating at Galaxy Diner on Route 66 (milkshake to die for) before stargazing at Lowell Observatory. Further south at Fort Verde historical park the kids voted the ladies working there as the most friendly and helpful of the whole holdiay. We must return again someday.

Thank You Paula and Mark for sharing your beautiful cabin with us. The cabin was everything we expected and so much more! When we walked through the door it was we were coming home! The cabin is so warm and full of charm. We shared wonderful family time and had a Thanksgiving we will treasure in our memories always. You were very helpful and accommodating and made us feel right at home. The cabin is perfect for family get away, or a romantic retreat, or girls weekend away. The way the house is set up is perfect for cooking and entertaining or just hanging out. We went for a hike down the road and collected pine cones and made Christmas decorations for our Christmas tree. We sat by the fire and played cards and board games and not to mention ate a lot! It is the perfect place to go if you are wanting to reconnect and bond with the people in your life. The view from the back deck is breath taking. I cant say enough good things about this cabin. As soon as we walked into the cabin it was like taking a deep breathe of fresh air. We are planning to rent again as soon as we are able and are looking forward to it very much so. Your home is amazing! Thank You again so very much. All our Love, Laura Lee and Family

Mark and Paula: Thank ya'll so much! Everything was great...from the cozy decor to the high chair for our little one! The cabin has such great views if you just want to lounge on the large deck. The best, and most convienient, is it's location. It's a beautiful drive up to the Grand Canyon and a spectacular drive down 89 to Sedona. We've used VRBO for previous vacations and this was the first time we have recieved a call from the owners to see how our vacation went. Thanks Mark and Paula....that truly does mean a lot! Thank you!

Our family of six had a great time at your cabin. The older kids loved exploring outside. It was a good location - not too far or too close to downtown Flag. Thanks! Neal and Jen
