My family and another shared a week here, and had a fabulous time. The home was comfortable, very well equipped and located in a perfect setting. The view of the water from the deck is stunning, especially at sunrise, and we have the photos to prove it. The furniture and beds are very comfortable, and the combination of ceiling fans and A/C make it very easy to achieve the ideal climate throughout the day. Lastly, the owners live nearby and are simply delightful folks - knowledgeable, responsive. If we return to the Cape, we will look to rent this home again.

Our Visit to Walkers Pond

Guest: Dad in need of a vacation (Hull, MA)
Date of Stay: 07/04/09 Review Submitted: 05/04/10

"I rented this property with my 2 sons (9 and 12 yrs.) my wife and my dog (Tito- miniature poodle/fox terrier) during July of 2009. It was clean, well-equipped with all the pots/pans, towels and items needed to get our much-needed vacation into gear. I found the furniture to be comfortable and in good condition. The setting was beautiful- overlooking the pond and, due to the many trees surrounding the house- you don't feel like there are any houses nearby- nice privacy. My wife loved sitting out on the pond-facing deck, that was somewhat protected from the sun by the trees, enjoying the light breeze and reading a book. I took full advantage of kayaking on the pond with my wife and boys. The boys would disappear for hours on the dock fishing. They would call me down to the dock everytime they caught something- which made for some nice photo ops. The house was just 10 minutes to Patriot Plaza which has a supermarket, Pizza Hut, liquor store, and movie cinema (great for rainy days). For a change of scenery we found that the beach flats at Paines Creek were absolutely spectacular. At low tide you can walk out 1+ miles to take in the salt air, take in the sun and go for a swim. At high tide is is a great place to swim. Historic route 6A is great for Antiquing which can be a problem if you load up the car with too much stuff before you come to the end of your vacation. All in all - we had a great, relaxing week and would return to this house without question."
