Villa Estrellas Bailando is the perfect choice if you are looking to relax in a private, luxurious house at an affordable price. The villa is located in La Herradura on the bluff known as Punta de La Mona and has endless views of the sea, the mountain peaks, and the village.
La Herradura is located on the Costa Tropical, in the Province of Granada, Andalucia. The closest airports are in Malaga (50 minutes) and Granada (70 minutes).
The villa is made up of a main house that is connected directly to an apartment. When renting this villa you have the option of renting just the main house or renting both the main house and the apartment (for a small additional price). The main house sleeps 5-8 people and the apartment can sleep an additional 6 people. The great thing about this property is it can be enjoyed quietly by a couple or a group as small as 4 just as well as a larger group.
The décor of the villa is very unique. Each room has a number of windows allowing it to have a sea or mountain view. The villa also offers an exclusive layout that offers each guest their privacy, especially during “siesta time”, but also has a big patio for everyone to be together.
The main house has a large, open kitchen with an island where people can congregate as well as a round table to eat. Connected to the kitchen is a living room that is surrounded by windows to give it an open feel.
The main house has a master bedroom with a king size bed on the main floor; another bedroom is located in the “tower area” with a day bed and pull out, and the third bedroom is located on the bottom floor with 2 double beds that can also be pushed together for a king.
Each of these bedrooms has their own private full bathroom. The apartment entrance, from inside the house, is located on the bottom floor in the opposite wing. The apartment has two bedrooms and one bathroom.
One of the bedrooms is known as the “bunk bed room”, which has bunk beds and two single beds. This is a unique and extremely fun opportunity for children or teenagers to sleep all together.
The other bedroom has two single beds that can also be pushed together for couples. The apartment also has one large room with a kitchen, washing machine, dining room table, couches, and television.
Outside, guests can enjoy the infinity pool, two patios with a sitting and dining areas area with a grill, and numerous terraces that are perfect to watch the astounding sunsets.
The villa is only a 10-minute walk (3 minute drive) into town. La Herradura has all the fundamental shops and services one might need during their stay here.
The village is also made up of local bars with terraces, restaurants (which include beach front chiringuitos), coffee shops by day/ice cream parlors by night, small specialty shops, playground for children, and even offers a fun nightlife on the west end of the village.
There are also many opportunities to enjoy the mile long beach and Mediterranean Sea. These activities include sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, learning to scuba dive, renting canoes, kayaks, jet skis, sailboats, pedal boats, and even catamarans.
Other activities include hiking, horseback riding, hang gliding, tennis, jogging, pick-up soccer and basketball. And if you’re looking to improve your Spanish speaking skills there are a few language schools as well.
The nearby charming towns of Almunecar (4 miles) and Nerja (7 miles) are perfect for short outings as they are filled with beaches, small tourist shops, restaurants, larger supermarkets, and some nightlife. The historic city of Granada is only a 45-minute drive.
It is filled with shops, restaurants, museums, cathedrals, and the famous Alhambra Palace. The Sierra Nevada Mountains are less than a 2-hour drive for skiing in the winter months.
There are also 3 golf courses (Baviera, Los Mariscos, and Anorretta) within driving distance.
