Built in the 1930’s, this vintage river cabin in Castella, south of Dunsmuir is ideal for the perfect vacation rental getaway. Sitting on the banks of the Upper Sacramento River, Carr’s Cabin has an easy slope down to the river. It is simply walking out on the back porch down the step onto the large shaded back yard to the end of the property where all the outdoor fun begins.
You can fish, swim ( in the swimming hole), go tubing down the river, or just relax on the beach in a lawn chair while getting your toes wet as you read a book and catch some rays. With a mature grape arbor, picnic tables, outdoor furniture, BBQ, and the view and sounds of the river, you will want to be outside all day and night. In the evening you can enjoy sitting by a cozy fire in the river rock fireplace. There is plenty of parking and nice walking trails near by.
This cabin uses environmental safe all natural cleaning products.
This cabin is only miles away from the Ski Park, Lakes (Siskiyou, Castle Lake, and Lake Shasta), Castle Crags, and the Pacific Crest Trail. Once you get here you won’t want to go anywhere else.
