This house was amazing! We had 8 ppl staying in the house and still had room for at least 2 more to fit comfortable. The yard was amazing and so was each balcony. There is only one tv in the house, but we liked that cause it really made the family be together. Everything you need is there from seasoning from food to some bottles of rum and tequila. I will be planning another trip soon with Mr. Roger and his wonderful help Alex.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

You just can't beat seeing the ocean from the living room, dining room, kitchen, bedrooms, and even the showers in this spotlessly clean, luxuriously appointed home of Roger and Tina, who also happen to be absolutely wonderful hosts! Not only is the home fantastic, but Puerto Morelos and its environs are great, low key places to visit. There are cenotes all over--each one different from the others, corals and fish, ceviche, and good food. Alex, the Valador, is also a real asset, and, because he's Mayan, he can cook up all kinds of Mayan dishes. Wish we'd stayed longer. Will definitely be going back!Did you find this review helpful? We had a very pleasant stay in the peninsula of Yucatan. This part of Mexico is very beautiful. We appreciated the comfort of this villa which is by the sea. It is very functional and nothing is missing. The corner is very quiet and distant from 7 km of Puerto Morelos what requires the rent of a car to move. One thank you to alex and his family who were for our small care and always presents to do a service to us. The owners answer very quickly our e-mails and informed well us about the current life to Puertos Morelos (plan to go to make our shopping in supermarkets, plan to arrive at the villa, the restaurants etc.). Did you find this review helpful? We spent a week in January at La Casa. A very enjoyable, worry free stay. Our group consisted of My wife and I, our 8 month old, My 70 year old parents. an additional couple and a friend who stayed for a few days. The house VERY comfortably housed ALL of us. A car is a must. The home is secluded from town and walking to and from is hardly an option. The beach is peaceful and washed up vegetation is just part of the deal. It never prevented us from swimming during our stay. The shore can be rocky, depending on the tide. You should plan on water slippers if you plan on using the waters. Food in town is excellent. Many choices. A quick trip down to Play Del Carmen is a good idea for shopping and lunch or dinner. The evening show at Xcaret is a must. Show is every evening at 6 P.M. and about a 30-45 minutes drive from La Casa. The small general store is good for daily needs. The Walmarts in Mexico are much better suited than those in the US for fresh produce and meats. Roger and Tina were a pleasure to rent from. They were VERY accommodating to me.. Thanks!!! It's been 2 weeks, and we still have smiles on our face from the stay.. We'll be back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Just arrived back from a wonderfuly holiday just outside Puerto Morales, staying at Casa Caribbean breeze. The house was everything it claimed to be, so spacious, & tastefully decorated, even with 7 of us we all had enough space to have our own space if we needed it. The view from the house was beautiful, just like a travel magazine. Beautiful mornings spent on the patio enjoying the sunrise and having coffee. Ideal for the children as it was right on the Beach. Alex was very helpful, answering any questions we had and also cooked us a beautiful meal one evening. A lovely two weeks would definately stay again. Thank you.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We just returned from a 10 stay at the Caribbean Breeze, we had a wonderful time at the Casa. The beach was very weedy when we first arrived but we only had to walk a short distance down the beach to find areas that didnt have weeds. We talked to Alex about it and he told us that this does happen at times but that we would get some big waves come in and it would clean up again. This did happen after about 6 or 7 days and we were able to swim in front of the Casa. The biggest down side to staying at the Casa was the taxies. The first night we took a taxi into Puerto Morelos for dinner as we hadnt had time to pick up groceries. As there was 6 of us we had to use the van taxi, total cost for the taxi to Puerto Morelos and back was $800 peso's. We STRONGLY recommend renting a car as the taxi will charge you an outrageous amount. Depending on the driver you can expect to pay anywhere from 100 peso's to 200 peso's to get to the main rd. We started to take a collectivo after the first couple of days if we needed to go to Playa or Cancun. Very cheap means of transportation, I think we paid 25 peso's each to go to Playa. The collectivo's pass by on the main rd. every 5 minutes or so. The care taker Alex is very helpful, he is also a pretty good cook. He cooked several meals for us while we were there. You can book tours to almost anywhere if you go into the resorts. We would recommend this Casa to people of all ages, our grand daughters had an amazing time here as well. Thank you Roger and Tina, we had an amazing time at the Casa. If it wasnt for the taxies we would have given the Casa a 5 star rating.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

Great house in a great location. My husband and I, along with our 3 kids (15, 14, 9) stayed here over spring break. We wanted to go to Mexico, but did not want to stay in Cancun with a lot of partying spring breakers. Puerto Morelos is a small town with a nice downtown full of restaurants and shops. Casa Caribbean Breeze is about a 10 minute drive from the downtown, right on the beach. Having a car really helped us, as we were able to drive to town whenever we wanted. If you don't want to rent a car, there are hotels very close by with taxi drivers waiting for a call. Roger and Tina were very easy to work with and always accessible. We contacted Roger with many questions and he was always available and willing to give us recommendations. We went to Cantina Habanero for dinner and music one night and had a wonderful time. The house was very clean upon our arrival and was cleaned every other day thereafter. Alex was very helpful and arranged a private snorkeling outing for us. We walked out the back door and the boat and guides were waiting for us. We loved shopping at the local food markets. Lovely house, beautiful beaches, quaint and friendly town. We'd love to come back! Thanks, Roger and Tina, for helping us have a great spring break!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

Thank you Roger and Tina for letting us stay in your home. It was lovely, and very well kept. We had everything we needed for our stay. Alex was very helpful to us and even came over one evening with his wife to cook dinner for us. It was our 25th wedding anniversary and dinner was wonderful. The home was absolutely perfect for our group, and when visitors dropped by they had a separate bathroom. We did have a few glitches but Alex was always there to make things right. Thank you too Alex for a great stay. I would recommend renting a car for your stay and is probably best to book it with airfare. Taxi fare is ridiculous (40.00 US to go to Puerto Morelos)!!! In regards to the seagrass on the beach, travelers need to understand that the grass protects the beaches from erosion. It happens on every beach in the world, and it was all the way down to Punta Allen.Owner response: Kim, Thank you for the review, I was glad to hear that you a wonderful relaxing time at Casa Caribbean Breeze and every thing went well for you. I am sorry to hear about the Taxi episode, I never like to hear of unscrupulous people preying on others. In speaking to Alex he tells me that normal cab fare to Puerto Morelos is a high of $50 peso. Let me take this time to apologize to you for what the cab driver done, most cab diver are honest hard working people. I hope others staying at the Casa will check with Alex on customary charges and other general information. Thanks, Roger & Tina

We rented for 2 months. Everything in the house was fine. Unfortunately the ocean and beach area, was terrible with weeds. This lasted for the whole 2 months, although the owner is stating this is a rare occurance, related to NE winds. According to the locals, the weeds come about 3 times a year, I guess we timed it wrong, but did not know about it. We kept hoping that it would improve, but actually it got worse as the time passed. A pool would have improved the situation, instead we had to use the outside shower to keep cool. We ended up travelling, daily, to other beaches. We walked about 5 km, either side of Puerto Morelos, along the beach and the weeds were every where. The town of Puerto Morelos is nice, with many restaurants, and safe.Recommended for: Sightseeing
Owner response: We are very sorry to hear about the weeds Unfortunately, it happens sometimes when a strong north east wind off the water. This is rare occurrence that the entire area saw the amount of weeds that Pam experienced. My wife and I were in Pto Morelos all summer and again in October and had a beautiful beach with no weeds, as you can see in some of the new pictures on the rental site. We received pictures from some guests that were there over Christmas week and there were no weeds then either. If we had known of a problem, we would have disclosed it to Pam. We do occasionally get some weeds on the beach as the local’s say but never in the excess that had Pam seen. Our steward, Alex, rakes the beach daily and keeps it clean for our guests. In the past 14 years in the area we have never encountered a problem of this magnitude. We believe Pam and guests chose Puerto Morelos due to all the beautiful things they heard about the town and it’s beaches. Pam states that “We walked about 5 km, either side of Puerto Morelos, along the beach and the weeds were every where”. We suspect that contrasts sharply with everything Pam read and heard about Puerto Morelos and the surrounding area. I believe that statement tells it all. This is a rare phenomenon that affected the entire region perhaps related to the unusual weather patterns all over North America this winter. I feel bad that Pam and guests were introduced to Puerto Morelos this way as it is not the norm. Puerto is great place with typically beautiful beaches and wonderful people. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience. Thanks, Roger & Tina

Dear Roger & Tina, we had a great time in your paradise, the villa is spacious, well equiped and a perfect location if you would like to relax and enjoy the beach. Alejandro "Alex" the caretaker is a great person and very kind and helpful. The house was clean and well maintained. We can very much recommend the villa to friends an family. The only suggestion to make it even better would be to provide a detailed description (map) of how to get to the property as it is a little bit hidden. However, in our case Alex was very helpfull in guiding us on the phone. We can highly recommend to buy fresh fish at the fisher's association in puerto morelos for BBQ and there is also quite a nice beach in puerto morelos approx. 1 quarter north of the central plaza.Did you find this review helpful? My wife and almost two year old daughter had an excellent time and the accomodations were equal to or better than the nicer resorts. Alex, the house's steward, was a great asset! We asked Alex if he would cook for us a few times. The food was WONDERFUL! I would highly recommend asking Alex to cook for you when you come. It cost us less than many restaurants, was better than most restaurants and was hassle free. We gave Alex money for the meal with which he bought the groceries. Alex then came back to the house to prepare the meal at the agreed time. He set the table for us and made his delicious pico de gallo and salsa with every meal. Plus you get to keep the leftovers. We tipped Alex well, for his great service and will definitely have him cooking more when we return!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My extended family & I rented the house for a week, and my only complaint is that we should've stayed longer! Roger & Tina were very helpful with the planning, and Alex took excellent care of us once we arrived. The house was spacious, clean and well-equipped. The photos are perfectly accurate. We spent a lot of time lounging on "our beach", building sandcastles, swimming, sunbathing, etc. We also took full advantage of all the area had to offer: we spent one full day at Xcaret (eco-park 30 min. away by car), went on 3 amazing scuba diving excursions (organized by Brett at Dive In Puerto Morelos), shopped for souvenirs, and ate a ton of fresh fish (our favorite restaurants in Puerto Morelos were Merkadito del Mar for dinner, and Tacos.com for lunch). We'll definitely be back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was our first trip to the Mexican Riviere and I sincerely hope not our last. I would come back every year if I could! Casa Caribbean Breeze was everything we hoped it would be and more. The house is easily as good as it looks in the photos! It is clean and comfortable ~ everything we needed was there. Roger was very quick to respond to any questions and always positive. We found the shops in Villa Morelos, across the highway, the best for fresh produce and meats, while the market in Puerto Morelos had a good selection of canned/packages goods. All the restaurants around the town square seemed popular. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a quiet, private holiday.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

This house is everything that has been described and more. The experience was amazing and this is a destination has been more than a dream. My wife and I came to Casa Caribean Breeze for our honeymoon and we had the privacy that we hoped for while having the service of Alejandro (house keeping) a few doors away. The area is very secluded and there is not any traffic that comes by the home, and the water is amazing. The area is also very beautiful including Puerto Morelos, Playa Del Carmen, and other local beach areas. The house sits right on the beach and there is very easy access to the beach. The price is also very affordable for everything that you get. Roger and Tina are also very accomadating and nice and make this vacation experience awesome. I would recommend this destination to all vacationers who are looking for a wonderful Carribean experience who want to be secluded with a couple or a family and friends. Either way, if you come to this house, you will be more than suprised and super satisfied with your decision. Hearing the waves crash on the beach as you wake up is one of the most peaceful sounds this world has to offer and this is what you get to hear every morning and all day. Its beautiful.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed in this house from April 24 to May 3. The house is very spacious and has everything one need for comfortable stay. It is also very quite and secluded. I would recommend it to those who want to get away from it all. We love cooking so we appreciated the fully equipped kitchen. Tip to future guests: the house is about 3 miles from Puerto Morelos downtown so if you want to go there often you will need some kind of transportation. On windless nights don't forget to wear bug spray. The owners Roger and Tina, as well as the house staff, Jenny, Ramon and Alex, have been very helpful with all our needs.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

The house was pretty new and everything was in perfect condition. It's rare to find such comfortable furniture, a great bed, a sizable kitchen with absolutely everything we needed for cooking, and lovely bathrooms. And we could see the ocean all the time from practically every room except the second bathroom. I liked having 2 bathrooms, too. Since we hit an exceptionally windy February it was good to have a part of the outside patio protected from the wind (and the sun when you have had enough sun). I enjoyed walking north from the house along the beach where there are fewer resorts and less people. Roger, the owner, was very accommodating and eager to provide us with whatever we needed. Personally, I would have preferred the cleaning to be done only every 3 days instead of every 2 days. But maybe it is necessary to keep unwanted critters out. We had to be very careful to keep the kitchen spotlessly clean at all times or else the ants invaded. Fortunately those were the tiniest ants I had ever seen. It took us a while to find a market that had good vegetables and fruits. And it is on the RIGHT side of highway 307 when driving to Puerto Morelos from the house. The little market at the town square does not have a good selection of fresh produce.I enjoyed the massage at the Mayan women cooperative (?) at the Jungle market. You can get directions at the Alma book store at the town square - and whatever other info you may need. They know everything. The photos hardly do the house justice. It is beautiful. I can highly recommend this property!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Casa Caribbean Breeze. The grassy yard and sandy area was perfect for our 18 month old son to run around in and you cannot get any closer to the beach. We were truly stunned with how beautiful the house is, everything is brand new with granite and marble everywhere you look. We stayed before the second floor addition was added and the place felt huge, it must simply be a palace now. It was our first time to Mexico and we simply fell in love with Puerto Morelos, the town is quiet and low key with excellent restaurants and beautiful beach and pier. A complete and welcome departure from the the hectic pace of places like Cancun and Playa del Carmen that we plan on revisiting many times. Roger was excellent to deal with and very prompt with answers to any of our questions or concerns. There was some sort of communication gap that occurred with the couple the looks after the place and we never saw them again after our initial arrival so we never got to enjoy their gracious hospitality or excellent cooking that other reviewers had reported. We look forward to returning and finding out first hand.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

"The casa exceeded my expectations...it is new, clean, beautiful. Our on-site "hosts" were immediately there when you needed them but not intrusive at all. Jenny can and will cook for you, and it will hardly put a dent in your wallet. Although we didn't make it to the downtown square at night (our kids were tired), we were told that it was a great place for all to gather and have fun. Buy a book at the local bookshop (at the square), the woman there was extremely helpful. We used the Internet Cafe at very little cost. We had a great trip and came home with many beautiful pictures and wonderful memories!"Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Casa Carribean Breeze was everything they promised it would be and more. We stumbled across the website and were lucky enough to pursue and find available dates for our 2nd vacation away to a warmer climate. We would definitely return in a minute and hope to do just that in the near future. We were lucky in every way. The 1800sq foot bungalow was clean and very well kept - the pictures served it justice although it was even more beautiful and peaceful there than they are able to depict on camera. Maid-service is available if needed for a reasonable fee as well as a home-cooked meal, if desired. Being so close to the village of Puerto Morelas, we quite often travelled the 5-10min drive and found quaint, safe food purchases. One of our favourites was "Pizza and Love" - owned by a young lady who made the best pizza we have ever had - right from scratch and fast! The weather was great also - we were there for 10 days. It only rained on the first day. If clouds appeared they only stayed for a short time and the forecasts were not always correct when predicting rain. The walk out front of the condo along the beach was always a joy, extremely peaceful and only got busier in the latter part of the day and closer to January 1. We were there from Dec 21, 2009 to Jan 1, 2010. Evenings needed a light sweater. To pick up bigger grocery items, we travelled into Playa and found good pricing at Sam's Club (just off the main highway). You didn't need a membership and it is much like a Costco. The fee was only 5% of our purchases. The village also had a small grocery store where fresh bread, fruit, veggies and ice were always ready for purchase. The water is provided in the condo and is completely safe. We participated in para-sailing and deep sea fishing in Puerto Adventuras (approx 1 hr or so past Playa) - definitely worth the drive! The Crococun Zoo which is located just outside the entrance to the road which leads up to the condo was also an amazing experience. Lots of memories and great pictures here. Again, reasonable pricing. We rented a small toyota hatchback (good deal also) from National Car Rental. The condo is also very safe. We never felt uncomfortable at any time. There are nearby neighbours and other vacationers within a short distance. There is a couple that own a condo right next door and are extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome as well. The casa exceeded my expectations...it is new, clean, beautiful. We had a great trip and came home with many beautiful pictures and wonderful memories!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway.

Casa Caribbean Breeze is the perfect location if you want to relax and get away from it all. Knowing the area a littel, (this was my third trip to the area) I had certain expectations. There is no denying the beauty of the Mayan Riviera. The Casa has been designed with the ultimate attention to detail to encapture the Mexican way coupled with American/European demands! With a superb location right on the beach it is very well equipped. Sip your morning coffee whilst watching the gentle waves roll in bringing with them an assortment of sea shells and sea life. Four miles along the beach is perfct snorkelling where you can see turtles and teams of colourful fish on the coral beds. Take a trip to Cozumel, a half hour away. You have the night life of Cancun and Playa del Carmen, 20 minutes drive away in either direction. I wouldn't advise staying here if you do not have transport, although, Puerto Morelos is a pleasant 50 minute walk away along the beach. Restaurants and amenities including an array of snorkelling trips and diving at reasonable cost can be found in Puerto Morelos, a 5-10 minute drive away. Olo de Agua offers a beach front breakfast location with spectacular views and you can always return there for happy hour, for your choice of beverage and guacamole, chips and salsa if you so desire!! The casa has been beautifully designed to accomodate you in comfort with a fabulous master bedroom with sea views and surrounded by the sound of the beautiful caribbean ocean. It's a little piece of paradise!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
