  Loved this place. I've never stayed in an apartment over a restaurant before. This place is in downtown Pacific Grove, not far from Lover's Point. You can see the ocean from the windows. The food in the restaurant was terrific!! The place was spacious with lots of great amenities. Beds were comfortable. The staircase was a little crooked (strange). Apparently, some foundation problems or something. Big balcony with a nice, new washer and dryer. Really enjoyed our stay here!!

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

  My husband and I stayed here for the week of the Pebble Beach AT&T Pro-Am Golf Tournament. Nino and Marie's upstairs apartment was so comfortable and inviting. It is so charming and well appointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in the center of downtown Pacific Grove. We parked the car and walked to the shops, restaurants, and there is even a movie theater in the next block. We enjoyed the golf during the day and the relaxing surroundings of Pacific Grove in the evening. We had a fantastic dinner in Nino and Marie's Bistro Restaurant Favoloro's below their apartment also...a wonderful get-away for a week!! Highly recommend this rental!!

  Our family of five, with three almost-grown kids, found this to be the perfect place to stay for our mini vacation right in the heart of darling Pacific Grove. The apartment is perfectly appointed and very clean; we didn't need to ask Marie for anything as she has thought of absolutely everything, even an umbrella, should it happen to rain. Even though the apartment is on the main street there was almost no noise, even with the window open and the bedrooms are further back, so that was never a concern. The kitchen is large and again, has everything you could think to need. There is a patio/deck in the back with a table and chairs--nice touch. Really, we couldn't have had a better time and appreciated such wonderful accommodation. I highly recommend this rental and hope to be back again soon!

  My wife and I stayed here for a week at the end of March, 2010, and we had a wonderful time. The flat had all the conveniences of home, and a great location to a lot of attractions. We were able to walk to the Monterey Aquarium and Cannery Row easily from here, and Point Lobos, Big Sur and Carmel were all quick drives away. Marie and Nino keep this little apartment very clean, and they also own the Italian restaurant downstairs, Favaloros Big Night Bistro. We ended up eating there twice, and the food was excellent! If you are staying on the Monterey peninsula, we very much recommend staying here.

  What a great location and a lovely apartment. Our party of four - two adults and two teenaged boys - enjoyed a wonderful weekend in Pacific Grove. The owner, Marie, could not have been more accomodating and pleasant to deal with. The apartment is spacious and very well cared for. I don't think you could ask for a better location in terms of being able to walk to the aquarium and a number of great restauarants, including Favaloro's downstairs (which Marie also runs).

  Our family of four (two boys, ages 6 and 4) had a wonderful time staying in this quiet, charming apartment in downtown Pacific Grove. The owners made us feel like family, and the apartment itself was super comfortable and well-appointed. You can tell the owners have given it a lot of loving care over time.There's a nice large, updated kitchen for cooking, but you may not want to do much, since there are many great little restaurants and cafes within walking distance, including a terrific Italian bistro right below the apartment that the owners also own.The aquarium's a 20-minute walk away; Lover's Point is even closer; it's a great area in which to simply head out for a stroll. Then you come back later and really feel that you are coming home. We'll definitely be back.
