Fantastic

Wonderful location, huge and clean space. We could not ask for more! Ryan the owner was, as others have said, more than helpful. We had an incredible time in Savannah, and part of it was due to the immaculate river street condo. One problem was the parking, take Ryans advice and get the Visitor's Parking pass. We did and it still was a pain at times if we had to move the car. Best place we ate was The Alligator Soul restaurant, the worst was Tubby's. Also make sure you go to the Peanut Shop on River Street as well as the Savannah Candy Kitchen, you'll be happy you did.

Great Location

Date of Stay: 04/08/12 Review Submitted: 04/14/12

Interior was lovely, just like the pictures. We have two small children and there was plenty of space for all of us. Location was fantastic! We started each morning watching River Street wake up while drinking coffee on the balcony. We wrapped up each night with our Wet Willie's drinks on the balcony, watching the ghost tours stop below us while the children slept peacefully inside. We were concerned noise from River St might be an issue overnight, but we were at a quiet end of the street and the walls were so thick we only ever heard the boat horns during the day. Owner provided great advice on places to go while in Savannah.

Honeymooning in Savannah

Guest: FineFoodFem (United States)
Date of Stay: 03/18/12 Review Submitted: 03/30/12

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect. It was beautiful and spotlessly clean as we expected from the pictures, but I was most impressed in the little details that took it from wonderful as expected to above and beyond. As I said little things like hypoallergenic soap for the washing machine, an ion fan to keep the air clean and smelling wonderful, and little soaps and shampoos in case you forgot anything. It's in a perfect location for Savannah. Right on river street with an unobstructed view of the river. We found it easy to walk to most everywhere we wanted to go. Forsyth Park was the only area we found a little too far to walk to often- we did it once and that did it for us. We're not big walkers though so someone in good shape would probably find the distance easy. All around, the best money we spent and the perfect place for us. I highly recommend this condo to any couple or single person wanting to see and taste the best of Savannah.

The condo is exactly as it appears in the photos. It is spacious and beautifully decorated. The location is great (although the entrance on Factors Walk is a little intimidating). Ryan was easy to work with and responded quickly to our emails and questions. We've already recommended it to our friends who visit Savannah.

Blown away!

Guest: Travel Lover (Jacksonville, Fl)
Date of Stay: 01/06/12 Review Submitted: 01/09/12

I knew right away that I had discovered a great find when I found this rental on-line. I did not expect to be BLOWN AWAY by what I saw when I arrived at this absolutely beautiful and uniquely designed condo. I am no millionaire but I have been fortunate enough to be able to enjoy some great accommodations throughout the world because of my military career. I have never stayed in a place like this one. The owner has spared no expense to ensure you have everything you need to enjoy your stay. The condo is very practical (everything you need to prepare a gourmet meal or just walk to any restaurant), great location (park your car and walk everywhere and anywhere). Sitting on the balcony gives you the illusion that you are not in Savannah but some small town in Europe. If romance is what you are looking for then this is your spot. The owners must be a very romantic couple because they took the time to provide a very romantic brass bed, romantic Jacuzzi tub and candles to set the mood. You better book early on this little hot spot!

Blown away - what a gem!

Guest: Keri W. (Orlando, FL)
Date of Stay: 11/03/11 Review Submitted: 11/07/11

My fiance and I booked this condo for the Savannah Marathon. There are many elements to this condo we loved - the location, the decor, the cleanliness, and the interaction with the owners. It was our first trip to Savannah, and as we drove up River Street to the condo - we realized what a perfect location it was. Nestled in the building right above the Chart House, we were steps from great food, drinks, and all-things tourist (the ferry, the river, the tours, etc). We were able to park and leave our car all weekend. Entering into the condo was one of those "ohhh my" moments where we were blown away. We knew it was going to be nice, we just had no idea it was going to be THAT nice. It was modern yet held the Savannah charm and character only a building with so much history could have. The condo was huge for just a one bedroom. The furiture was clean, new, and comfortable. I was amazed at how picture perfect the place was. I am also a bit picky when it comes to staying somewhere not "my own" - I NEED it to feel clean, and every ounce of this house was - from the sink to the refridgerator to the shower to the sheets. I felt entirely comfortable and at ease. The owners thought of more than we could have ever asked for. When we were packing for our trip, my fiance asked if we should bring soap. I replied "honey, we aren't going to a hotel" - but sure enough, there was every little toiletry one could ever need. They had more than enough clean towels, extra sheets, pillows... a blowdryer, ironing board, fan... they had every kitchen utensil, spice, coffee, tea, sugar, creamer - and even two wine glasses waiting for us in the freezer. Bingo! Our entire weekend was made by having found this place. We loved coming back to it after all of our adventures. We would walk in, open the doors, pour a drink, and walk to the patio to watch the sunset over the water while listening to the guy in a nearby restaurant play a saxophone. We even got to see the fireworks one night while sitting on the balcony. Perfect perfect perfect. I can't rave enough about how much we loved it there. The icing on the cake - the owners were incredible. Immediatley responsive to every inquiry, friendly and welcoming with every interaction, and flexible to our quirky needs. I wish every rental owner was like them. In closing, I would stay here time and time again. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quaint, stylish, comfortable, memorable Savannah experience.

Beautiful Place right on River Street

Guest: TN gal (Harrogate, Tennessee)
Date of Stay: 07/17/11 Review Submitted: 07/22/11

This is a great place to stay in Savannah. Within walking distance to alot of the main attractions Savannah has to offer. We sat on the patio and watched the ships go buy as well as all the shoppers on River Street. It was still quiet and private even though located right on the River. The entrance is located in a tunnel but it is very well lit and we in no way ever felt at risk. My Yorkie puppies loved the place and enjoyed the windows that they could look out of. I highly recommend getting the daily parking passes for your stay to park in the public parking on River Street. Once we arrived and parked I never moved the car until we checked out. The kitchen was excellent and had everything we needed. I highly recommend this place to anyone sightseeing in Savannah or if you just want to relax and enjoy your vacation.

You are within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and site seeing. Once you master the parking, you are home free! I found that entering River Street on Martin Luther King and entering the first parking area and waiting until a space comes available was my best bet. I was very pleased with the property and have already recommended it to others and will return myself. Sitting on the balcony in the mornings and evenings was the best part of my day!

We stayed at this condo for a week in June, it was perfect, right on the river to watch the ships go by, an easy walk to everything, (restaurants, shopping, night life, and the trolleys). The owners have made sure there is nothing you will need once you walk in to this condo. We will definitely go back. Savannah is a wonderful city to visit and staying here made it even better. We got the parking pass from the visitors center which Ryan recommended, for Monday thru Friday which was great since we hardly had to use our car and could leave it in the parking across the street from the condo. We were very pleased we had chose this condo.

Ideal Vacation in Every Way

Guest: Jasen & Cassi (Indianapolis)
Date of Stay: 05/27/11 Review Submitted: 06/21/11

My wife had been hearing me tell stories about Savannah for years; how much I loved the old city and all the rich history it had to share. She noticed that I hadn't mentioned it in some time and decided that she needed to remind me of the place I used to love so much, as well as experience it for herself. She could not have chosen a better condo in the entire city! Most of my memories are from River Street and the surrounding bars, pubs and resturants...and this condo virtually sits in the middle of my memories. My wife and I have already scheduled our return trip for next year and plan on making this condo our permanent getaway each year. The gentleman that rented the condo to us could not have been any more helpful and he's continued to extend us every courtesy since. The wi-fi, luxury kitchen, and wonderful mix of modern furniture and original brickwork make for an eclectic condo like none other. The photos don't come close to doing it justice, especially the size! We look forward to our next stay and each after that. Our stay at this wonderful condo has reinvigorated my love of Savannah...

Honestly, we were a little shocked at the entry to the condo, after all it is an alley......but once you open the front door it's like "oh yeah...this is perfect!" My husband and I celebrated our 30th anniversary in Savannah and we could not have been more pleased. After arriving in Savannah we drove the car once to obtain parking permits so we could leave the car in the lot across the street from the condo. We literally and quite easily walked EVERYWHERE! River Street is nestled at your feet and the city of Savannah is just a staircase away. The condo was equipped with everything you could possibly need and was so comfortable and welcoming it was easy to just settle in and enjoy. Overall a fantastic anniversary! Thank you Ryan for sharing your beautiful condo. We will be back - you simply can't see it all in a week.

This is the best place I have ever stayed in!! I have been to Savannah before and stayed in the nicest hotels. This condo is much better and cheaper than a hotel. My wife and I are in are 30's and stayed here together. She loved it too. We stayed on a Friday night through Monday morning. There is fireworks on the first Friday of the month and you can watch them from you balcony. The balcony provides an outstanding view of the river and passing ships. It also offers a great place to relax after a day of walking. River street is just below you. It is within walking distance to anything. There is nearby convenience stores to stock up on items for the refrigerator. This condo is fully furnished with very nice items. All kitchen necessities are provided. Including wine glasses. We needed nothing at all. It was a very quiet place too. NO complaints. Super easy to get to. Super location. Super clean. Can not describe in words how nice it is compared to the hotels. We will always stay at this exact property when we return and we will soon!!!

Lovely Savannah Pied-a-Terre

Guest: Anonymous
Date of Stay: 03/25/11 Review Submitted: 04/04/11

Absolutely lovely and very spacious property overlooking River Street and the river. Wonderful balcony apartment with all of the amenities, spotless and in a great location. Parking was a breeze after unloading at the door on Factor's Walk. This was very reminiscent of an upscale pied-a-terre in Paris or Manhattan. Fully appointed kitchen and wonderfully peaceful bedroom. And what's not to love about that bathtub! Upon Ryan's recommendation, we stopped by the Visitors' Center, where they graciously allowed us to buy two two day unlimited parking passes, a bargain at $24.00 total for four days. The free street car is a great way to travel River Street running Thurs. thru Sunday and stopping at frequent intervals right across the street from the condo. The balcony is a great place to people watch and enjoy coffee in the mornings or relax with a cocktail in the evenings. Loved watching the ships go by, especially the Oceania Cruise Ship "the Marina" on her way to Barcelona. The location was much quieter than expected, and we slept like babes. Safe and secure,we felt very comfortable leaving our little dog in his crate while we explored and dined out. Highly recommend Parker's Market for fun food shopping and Fresh Market for groceries. My husband brought home their prepared ribs one cold, rainy night and they were some of the best we ever had. Don't miss the Shrimp Salad Sandwich and Ice cream at Leopold's on Broughton(also great street for shopping) or the Fried Oysters and Fried Green Tomatos Appetizers at Rocks on the River at the Bohemean Hotel, a short block away from the condo. (Tips: The Bohemean welcomes you to use their elevator from the River Street Level up to Bay Street if the stone steps become too much. Big Mike's Taxi Service LLC is the best if you don't want to drive-very prompt and courteous!) This was our third trip to magical Savannah and the city just keeps getting better. Once you have visited, you must come back! Thanks to Ryan and his family for the fabulous accommodations and all the great info.! This property rates an A Plus, Plus, Plus!

We stayed here for our honeymoon, and it is now my favorite place to stay. I cant wait to come here again. Very nice and clean. Located right on River Street with a perfect view. You can park your car and leave there because you can walk to everything. The owner was very helpful also. I would recommend this property to anyone. There are alot of great places to eat, like The Lady and Son's, The Pirate House and the Cotton Exchange. It was very nice taking a trolly ride learning about the history of Sav. GA. My husbands favorite place was Wet Willies. The people in Sav. were very friendly.

Sitting on the balcony, watching the ships, the river and the action below is both relaxing and fun. You really never need to leave the condo! The location is too perfect. You can walk to everything or grab the trolly right downstairs. Folks could not be nicer in Savannah and things are just peaceful and easy! Thank you Ryan! We walked or took the trolley to anywhere we wanted to go. I could have sat on the balcony and watched the ships come in and out and been totally fine.

Date of Stay: 12/26/10 Review Submitted: 01/01/11

Let me start out by saying this loft is under the Chart House restaurant by way of an alley made of cobblestones. Nice hidden gem with all things new! Park on the ramp to unload your car(it makes it easier). The location is excellent, we normally buy groceries and then do some cooking, but not here. There are so many restaurants practically at your doorstep who could refuse? The Rocks, Hueys, Chart House, every place we ate was delicious! Don't forget to pick up some yummy sweets from Savannah's Candy Kitchen(or River Street Sweets) too! You can take a tour on one of the trolleys or take a horse drawn carriage ride around downtown Savannah, both are worth doing! The view out of the living room windows and on the terrace is simply gorgeous, so many barges to take pictures of! It was so nice to have coffee every morning(all was provided). We even did our laundry(detergent and softener provided) so when we got home we didn't have loads to do. Took a bubblebath in the spa tub, felt great after a day on the town! Paula Deen's -Lady and Son's, Broughten St.(shopping) and City Market are all about 2 blocks away! The visitor's center is also on River St. just go right towards the Hyatt and it is after it, lots of info there! If I had to sum up our vacation I would say," Ryan was very helpful with all my questions, and there were alot of them!(thanks Ryan)" "The place is beautiful and clean and in the perfect spot to see and do practically everything in downtown Savannah!" My family and I absolutely had a wonderful time and wouldn't change a thing!" "I couldn't have picked better!"

My sisters and I stayed at this beautifully appointed condo on River St. It met all our expectation and then some. The condo is beautifully decorated and the owners have provided just about every comfort you might need while away from home. Location is fabulous! We enjoyed watching the ships come and go and all the people walking River st. below, shopping and restaurants were just a few feet away. It was nice glancing through the books on Savannah while we enjoyed our morning and evening coffee on the balcony. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else while visiting Savannah now that we have discovered your beautiful condo. Thank you for making it so warm and inviting. The North Georgia Sisters :)

The Most Relaxing Part of Our Entire Vacation!

Guest: Fisher (Cullowhee, NC)
Date of Stay: 08/01/10 Review Submitted: 08/16/10

We decided to take a quick, last-minute, end-of-summer vacation to Savannah in early August and just happened to find a couple of open dates available for this property. My wife and I could not have been more pleased with our stay here! The condo is richly appointed with all of the amenities that you need while staying away from home. Everything has been thought of and made available for you, even down to the umbrella hanging off on the back of the front door that you forgot to bring with you. The view of the river from the living area is spectacular. If you wanted to simply sit inside all day and watch the ships come in and out of port, you could do just that. The condo is very clean and well kept, and is right in the heart of the River Street area where you are well within easy walking distance to numerous shops, restaurants and historic sites. The nice, cool A/C, the whirlpool tub, and the plush pillow top bed all welcome you back to relax after a day out exploring this great historic city. The owners are a wealth of information on where to go and what to do while in the city and provided some great advice while we were in town. I highly recommend a stop at one of the local parking offices to purchase a visitor’s parking permit that allows extended parking in public and metered spaces. I parked our car in the “ramp” area for 3 straight days where the signs all read “3 hour parking”. The parking convenience is well worth the $12 you will pay to the city. I highly recommend a stay at this property. Make your visit easy on yourself and unwind here, where everything has been provided for your comfort and relaxation.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect! We both fell in love with the house as soon as we opened the front door. The house is beautiful and the location couldn't have been any better. We spent most of our time sitting on the balcony watching the people below and listening to the sax player down by the fountain at night. Just about everything you could want to do is within walking distance but even when we did have to drive we were lucky enough to get a parking spot right in front of the rooms view on River St. We absolutely loved it, we are already planning our next trip. Thanks for an unforgettable honeymoon!!!

We stayed five nights at this condo in April 2010. The accommodations were very nice, including Savannah guide books and novels, and an abundance of kitchen accessories. We highly recommend the lodging if you're looking for something on or close to the river walk. Two warnings: the patio deck which overlooks the river walk is not private, but is a shared platform (divided only by a short iron railing) with the adjoining condo; the condo also sits above a stop on a haunted tour, which sometimes made for noisy late evenings. Overall, the two warnings did not really detract from our stay. The owners were very pleasant and easy to work with.

The location facing the waterfront was very relaxing. Great shopping & places to eat are located right outside your door and a Trolly stops right in front of the condo! The owner's were great to work with and I hope to stay @ the "River Street Condo" on my next visit!

I took my wife to Savannah for our 10-year anniversary. It was the nicest place that we have ever stayed. The View of River Street was incredible and almost every morning that we woke up I was able to catch a glance of the tanker ships leaving out. (That one is for the guys) We had access to everything that we wanted to do, the trolley stop was right under our porch and it was about a 5-7 minute walk to Paula Dean’s restaurant. The condo was very, very, very clean and well furnished with a flat screen TV in the den, and a Jacuzzi tub. We had a very nice experience and will be going back for another romantic getaway.

A true "hidden" gem! Incredible views of River St and all the action. The passersby will be envious of your balcony perch. Perfect getaway for a couple. Unique and close to everything. Get the Savannah Visitor Parking pass - worth every penny! Everyone was very welcoming. Be sure to visit Vincent (resident artist) at Goldon House Gallery.

This condo is as advertised and more!My husband and I stayed in the River Street condo June 20 - June 24. We loved it so much that we would have extended our stay but it was already booked. The view of the river is fabulous. And, the balcony is the perfect spot to "people watch". The location could not be more perfect. We parked our car in the public parking lot directly across from the condo and did not move it during our entire stay. We took Ryan's advice and bought a parking permit at the visitor's center. The permit is $7.00 and allows you to park your car in any public lot for an entire day. I cannot imagine finding a better place to stay in Savannah!

Our weekend in Savannah

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The only problem we had was actually finding the front door as it is down an alley which we simply missed when we arrived. So it was an adventure. Once inside...WOW...the place was adorable. Well set up with everything we needed in the kitchen and bath, very very clean, quiet and very comfortable. we loved sitting on the balcony having coffee in the morning or wine in the evening. We only moved the car once all weekend to go to Tybee Island. Otherwise we walked everywhere. The location is right by the river and it was fun to see the large container ships come in and out of the harbor. Restaurants are everywhere and very close by. We recommend The Pink House (about a ten minute walk from the condo). Great ambiance in a historic home that dates back to the 18th century, impeccable service and the food simply wonderful. We also recommend the city wide tour on the "Old Trolley". Starts right beneath the condo and brings you right back at the end of the day. Gives you a really good feel for the city and allows you to step on and off as many times as you want during the day. So there you have it. Stay at this condo and have an absolutely fantastic time. It is well worth it! Chris and Bill
