Quiet and tranquil with huge fir trees on a private lakefront where no motor boats are allowed, just kayaks, paddle boats & fishing boats - lake is stocked and there is a fishing boat right at water's edge to use. Perfect for a family getaway or artists who want a quiet place to create. Fully stocked kitchen with pots and pans, dishes, spices, french coffee press and coffee.
Easels, painting supplies, brushes & charcoal for drawing are supplied for the creative spirit. Watch movies on a multitude of artists and listen to some great music from the huge array of compact discs.
Private 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin with a cozy wood stove, beautifully furnished with daybed in living area, huge kitchen, huge deck with barbecue/smoker, artist supplies and nature all around. Just 10 minutes from Gig Harbor, or up the street to Key Center with a Mexican cantina, O'Callahan's Bar and Grill, Lulu's Homeport Restaurant and a great winery nearby. Two wonderful state parks/beaches are a few miles down the peninsula- great beach walks. Minterbrook oyster farm and a salmon hatchery nearby - fresh seafood can be purchased and put on the grill for an evenings dinner.
Easy access to Tacoma with art museums and restaurants or drive or ferry over to Seattle. Mt. Rainier, Lavender festival in Sequim (July), Bainbridge Island, Poulsbo, Olympia, Olympic National Forest are all fairly close. Enjoy what Washington has!

Hi Gae, We really enjoyed our week at your Art Zen Retreat. It was the perfect place during the very hot weather with the lake, use of your boats and enclosed fence for our dogs. One of our children has taken to fishing and spent most of the week fishing and caught 2 fish. It wasn't until the end of our stay that he really wanted to watch T.V. We consider that an accomplishment that he was able to do something other than watch T.V. Our younger child got involved with drawing and coloring and loved the choice of materials she could use. Perhaps next summer we will be able to return to the Art Zen Retreat.

A Wonderful Stay! Our 6 yr. old caught his very first fish, what a treat. Making smores and talking around the fire was a favorite. Exploring Gig Harbor and trekking to the ocean and searching for sea creatures was so simple to do from our temporary home base. Best of all we were able to spend time with dear friends. Thanks for making that happen!
