Owner exceptionally nice and unit very pleasant--clean and comfortable. Convertible sofa bed is not terribly comfortable but not so different from most such--if owner replaces we'd recommend kind with inflatable mattress. What is so special is the location. It's directly across from Kamaole II and the lanai has view of sunset to west and of Haleakala to east, which is great. There's a somewhat odd large concrete patio/deck (tsunami evacuation center? helipad?) off the lanai where we washed off sand but seldom sat because of lack of shade. Complex has laundromat and people running it are very friendly. Bistro 808 is almost next door, serving good food at reasonable prices, including a "sunset menu" for 3 courses at $25 if ordered before 6 pm. All in all, an excellent experience, and we'd recommend property to others.

This was my 4th trip to Maui and every time have stayed at Kihei Kai Nani. This was my second time in Sarah's cozy condo. It's fully stocked, very convenient to everything: beach, restaurants, shops, transit. I especially enjoy the chaise lounger on the lanai and the oversized private deck. I'll be back in February but unfortunately this unit was booked, but there's always next time! Sarah is very accomodating, friendly and a pleasure to deal with. I recommend her to everyone I know who goes to Maui. A++!

Our fifth year in a row at the KKH and second time in the Baskurt condo. The best by far. A home away from home; immaculately clean and well stocked. The large lanai is fantastic. Can't wait until next year! Mahalo Sarah.

We have just returned from staying at this great condo. The condo was very clean and well equipped with all the touches of home. The private deck was absolutely amazing. Kiihei Vacation

We were lucky enough to find this property in Kihei through a friend. I would have to say that this was one of the best vacations we have ever had in Hawaii and we have been to hawaii probably 25 times in my lifetime. The condo was very clean with all the stuff one would need.The huge sun deck was a great addition as you feel like the condo is huge. I would recomend this property to anyone who would like to have one of the best vacations of their life. Cannot wait to go back and have already booked again as soon as we returned to Vancouver!

Great Maui Vacation

We enjoyed our 16 night stay at the condo very much. Everything was just as pictured - loved the chaise lounge on the lanai - one of my favorite places to read and knit after coming back from watching the beautiful sunset at the beach. The only bad thing about going to Maui is having to go home - 2 weeks just does not seem long enough.

Second time at Kihei Kai Nani -- first time in this unit. This unit was very comfortable and nicely updated. The bed was nice to fall into at the end of a busy day. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony, enjoying the night air and reading. It is centrally located which makes it easy to take day trips to different areas of the island. There are many restaurants within walking distance and the beach across the street is great. The owners have thought of everything -- comfortable furniture as well as coolers, beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, etc. I would definitely recommend this unit to family and friends and can't wait to come back to it on my next trip to Maui.

Best Condo in Maui

Another great trip to Maui and our favorite place to stay. We just enjoyed a 2 week stay at the Baskurt Condo with our teens. The Condo is across the street from one of the top 10 Beaches to visit when you are in Maui and this is our favorite beach. We have stayed at this condo now for the second time, and it has everything that you need. We enjoyed eating in and using the BBQ that are there for the guests. If not you are walking distance to great stores, groceries, coffee, and Fred's next door. This year we used the pool area, and enjoyed that very much even the evening swims. We have already reserved our dates for 2011 I would and have recommended this condo to family and friends. Sarah is amazing to work with.

The condo was clean, well stocked, comfortable, nicely decorated, cozy, and just all around wonderful. I am kind of reluctant to tell you all about this "treasure" we found. The condo was conveniently located and quiet. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach and after we explored the island we all agreed that "our" beach was the best. We were able to snorkel, boogie board, see a whale, dolphins, and plentiful fish all at Kam II. We also really liked the people that used that beach. It is a very nice family beach with a lifeguard. The condo is set back and so you don't have the noise from the road, or restaurants. It is close to the pool and laundry facilities. We felt we had lots of privacy and extra room that you don't get in a motel. We traveled with our preteen son and he enjoyed the Disney station and said the hide a bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed not having him in our room. The condo is very quiet and safe. We often left him to watch television in the evening as we stolled along the beach to watch the sunset. It was amazing that no matter how many times or the time of day, traffic always stopped for pedestrians to cross the street. For our first trip to Maui we felt we had made all the right choices for a wonderful vacation. We definately would love to come back to this condo if we are lucky enough to be able to get on the calendar. I am afraid this "secret" is out. If you can book this condo, go for it. We felt it was an outstanding value and it made vacationing very relaxing by providing about everything you would need. We rented snorkel gear from Snorkel Bobs and we would highly recommend them. It is within walking distance. If this is your first trip to Maui try to book two weeks. We were there eight nights and it only felt like three. It was very hard to leave.

Totally Enjoyed Kihei with the Kai Nani Condo

This is an even better location than I imagined---across the street from the Kam beaches, and walking distance to pretty much anything you need. The condo itself was immaculately clean, and the deck was even bigger than I imagined. We actually under-utililzed the deck because we were out enjoying the beaches close by. Definitely go to Cafe Ole (like a block and a half away), and go on a whale watching cruise. Or, get groceries and make all of your meals---the kitchen had everything we needed, and plenty more. A grocery store is about a 20 min. walking distance, but if you rent a car from Kihei Rent-a-Car, then you'll have access to Lahaina to the north, and plenty more beaches to the south. I will recommend this property to all of my family and friends, and will try to book it next time my wife and I go to Maui.

We had a wonderful stay in this condo. We had everything we needed, from beach towels, to umbrellas, coolers, guidebooks, etc. The condo was very clean, organized and easy to just move into. We loved the super large balcony, which our daughter loved to run around on. The condo was steps from Kamaole Beach 2 and other amenities, like restaurants and various shops. We would love to stay in this condo again. Communication with the owner was always quick and helpful. An excellent experience overall.

Perfect Condo, well equipped, perfect location,right across from the beach and walking distance to stores and restaurants. Cozy & comfortable complex, loved the porch off the Lanai - watched the sunrise every morning. The boogie board and beach chairs were a real plus. Very comfortable and clean. Hope to return next year.

My girlfriend and I stayed at 343 when we were in Maui last March. We loved it! The condo is well-kept and comfortable. The lanai was our favorite place for morning papaya and coffee! Amazing location next to the huge pool and right across the street from beautiful Kam Sands Beach. There are also restaurants, shops, and small grocery stores right down the street. The condo is very peaceful and quiet, which we enjoyed. Definitely coming back next year!

We have been staying in this unit (343) for five years now. We are returning again next year and can't wait. For us it is our home away from home. The condo is clean and nicely furnished. There have been many upgrades including new bathroom, kitchen, and flooring. It is an end unit so with the breeze from all the windows and ceiling fans we have no need to use the air conditioner. Our favourite features are the large open roof top deck with view of the mountains and the lanai where we dine with a view of the ocean or gardens. We love grilling on the BBQ in "Jan." Perfect location right across from the beach and walking distance to restaurants and shops. We highly recommend this Maui home.

I've stayed at unit #343 in Kihei Kai Nani for several years in a row, and am going back again this year. Highly recommended! This unit was recently refurbished, and is clean, modern and comfortable. #343 is an end unit on the third floor, and in addition to the usual floor plan, boasts a 1500 square foot private deck! Excellent views of the mountains from the deck, and a view of the ocean from the lanai! Because it is an end unit, the condo has windows on three sides, and has really wonderful light. One of the best units in the entire complex.
