A Northern Escape is a family friendly, quiet retreat in the village of Empire, surrounded by the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore Park. Enjoy this well equipped home (full kitchen, seating for 6 people) and the two decks for some quality time. You will find two beaches (each with boat launch)-Lake Michigan and South Bar Lake, ideal for small children.
The newly remodeled public beach area offers a playground with climbing structure, basketball court, rest rooms as well as a picnic area, fire pits and swimming dock and offers fun for everyone! There also is a park with baseball diamond and public tennis courts nearby.
Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore Park offers hiking and wildlife viewing and nearby Pierce Stocking Drive allows for breathtaking views of Lake Michigan, the Manitou Islands and the surrounding area. The house is in walking distance to Empire's restaurants, unique shops and ice cream parlors. A grocery store, library and a gas station are conveniently located in the village.
The house is available year round - enjoy spring and the blooming orchards, summer and all it has to offer, the spectacular fall colors and excellent winter sport opportunities.
