Location: Bocas del Toro, Colon Island, Bocas del Toro, Panama, Central America (Bocas Town: five minutes by bike or a 50 cent taxi ride.)
Accommodations: Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Detached Unit, 2 Baths (Sleeps 4)
Keywords: Caribbean, Complete, Romantic, Cute, Residencial, Cabana
On the main Island of the archipelago Bocas del Toro, named Isla Colon, you'll find the Caribbean Cabana Saigoncito`s. Saigoncito`s are situated on a small property, surrounded by lots of green and tropical flowers.
The Caribbean Cabana is located in a small and friendly neighborhood, called Saigon. Quiet but meantime very lively and Caribbean! Bocas Town Beach ¨la Cabana¨ is around the corner and you're just a five minutes bike-ride away from Bocas Town. Bicycles are the way of transportation on the Island. For your comfort, and to make the experience completely local, bikes from Bocas Bicis are included with your stay. You will use (and enjoy!) them while exploring the Island and the nearby beaches, to take you to Town for your daily shopping, to go on tours and out at night!
Saigoncito`s Caribbean Cabana is built in the Caribbean, Colonial style that is widely seen in Bocas. The wooden cabana stands on stilts, is colorfully painted and has a spacious veranda with hammocks. The cabana is surrounded by lots of trees and tropical plants. Fairly hidden in your hammock you'll enjoy the numerous visits of the hummingbirds to the garden while some local chicken are wandering around.
The cabana is fully furnished and nicely decorated. Inside the cabanas you will find all the luxuries that you're familiar with at home: Wireless internet, cable or SKY TV, a fully equipped kitchen, semi- orthopedic mattresses, security boxes, ceiling vans and hot water showers.
If you want to know what life is like in Panama's Paradise, come to Saigoncito`s and find out!
Do you need a smaller or bigger unit? Contact us for details on renting just one of our lovely rooms, or an extra cabana.
Thanks, Jenny

Rent a painted wooden house in atmospheric Bocas del Toro, a charming town built in the nineteenth century by the United Fruit Company. Hang out with hummingbirds on the balcony, discover sloths, red frogs and the most beautiful butterflies, plus find all sorts of undersea creatures on snorkelling and diving trips. This wonderfully atmospheric property located in the local part of town, reachable on bicycles provided by your lovely landlady Jenny. Our favourite spot in Central America
Owner response:Hi Simon and Rachelle! Thanks! I am glad to hear that you liked it. And very proud that you called it your favorite spot in Central America! Take care! Jenny

Travelling with friends for over the last three months, we have seen a lot of different places. Unaminous we came to the conclusion that this is the place that we liked the most, by far. We rented three rooms (Saigoncito 4, 5 and 6) on the second floor with a big veranda. These rooms are very confortable: good matrasses, warm water showers and the kitchens had everything that we could possibly need. Every day we had fresly blended fruit juices and enjoyed our ownhome-cooking. Here we had all the space to relax in the hammocks: finally finished my book and even took a good picture of a hummingbird. This place is outside Bocas Town, but with the bike (included!!!) you are there in only a couple of minutes. Thank you for making our stay in Bocas unforgettable!

lI liked Saigoncito a lot! The little cosy cabanas have kitchen, bathrooms and Sky TV, with a local flavour in the middle of the 'real' Bocas del Toro. Perfect to avoid busy touristy backpackers party hostels. The apartments had a very homely feel, with lots of nice little touches, the rates are reasonable and Jenny the owner is awesome and really helpful.

I was gone for a 5 weeks backpacker's trip to visit Costa Rica and Panama. We spent an average of 2 nights at every place and we used to look in the Lonely Planet to find all the places we slept. Finaly, we met someone during our trip who just spent few days at Panama's Paradise and really enjoy his stay. So, we decided to try it even if it was not in our favorite book (lonely)! It was clearly the best place we did in all the trip! We spent 5 nights instead of 2 because we relly appreciate the place! The rooms where big, clean, we had a private bathroom and kitchen, we can rent bikes for free and Jenny was wonderfull with us! We left the hotel after 5 days because we needed to continue our trip but we were really sad to leave this paradise! On the 15 places we did during our trip, Panama's Paradise won the first price :) Thank you very much for everything Jenny!

This place is lovely and secluded. We enjoyed hanging out in the hammock on the back porch, and cooking at home. We were three late 20s/early 30s guys who certainly like to go out and have a good time. Being over in the Saigon neighborhood was not an impediment to going out, though, especially with the free bikes provided. We got the advantages of being in a quiet, tropical neighborhood house. But it was only a 5-7 minute, flat bike ride to the bars and restaurants in Bocas Town (the main part of Isla Colon is really tiny). In fact, riding around in the sea air was one of our favorite parts of the trip. You can also walk to town in 10-15 minutes, or easily flag a cab for 50 cents-$1.50.

Isla Colon has many hotel options, but with the popularity of Bocas it is difficult to find something that is nice, reasonably priced and clean. We wandered around checking out hotels for well over an hour in the afternoon heat until we had the good fortune of running into Jenny. Her cabanas are located in a quiet neighborhood and all have private plant shaded porches with hammocks. The cabana was super clean with comfortable beds. The cabanas are about a 15 minute walk or 5 minute bike ride from the main drag of Isla Colon. We appreciated staying in a true local neighborhood rather than in the tourist packed main hotel/hostel zone.

We stayed for a couple of days in one of the lovely cabanas of Panama's Paradise. It was our favourite accomodation during our travel in Panama. Why stay in a hotelroom if you can stay in your own little wooden house with a lovely porch surrounded by plants and kolibris for the same price? The location is not in the centre of town but in an area called Saigon. We really enjoyed it, because it felt like we were experiencing the real Bocas, instead of the tourist strip. And you get free bicycles, so the centre is just a couple of minutes away! Also, the bicycles are perfect for exploring the islands beaches!

We had two rooms neighbouring each other (one with kitchen and both with bathroom) and share a porch where you can relax and chill in your hammock. It´s in a quite neighbourhood less then 10 minutes from the town centre by bike. Bikes are included so you can easily get anywhere. It´s a nice and authentic place, clean, friendly service, wireless internet, good information on what´s there to do on bocas, in other words, all that you are looking for! I can strongly recommend it.
