El Faro is the newest beach front condo complex in the center of Playa del Carmen. If you are looking for luxury, location and amenities...this is the place!
HOME AMENITIES: Our condo is on the 3rd floor in the Reef building. The building is designed so that each condo has a fabulous ocean view. Our 2bed/2bath home is 'beach contemporary'. It is ideal for 2 couples. Our foyer offers a reading area with a lending library of books that you can borrow from or exchange. Each bedroom and the living area offers a flat screen tv and an IPOD docking station for your music. We also have a selection of dvd's to view when you feel like relaxing at home. The full kitchen is set up for casual dining or even more formal entertainment. Our covered patio is comfortable and a great place to relax. Enjoy the ocean breeze and beautiful Caribbean sea with a cup of coffee or a drink. A bonus feature for our condo is a washer/dryer located in the master bath. Not all condos at El Faro have this option.
RESORT AMENITIES: El Faro has the most elaborate pool in Playa del Carmen. Multiple water features, infinity edge and a children's wading pool with an ocean theme mosaic make this pool a marvel rivaled only by the magnificent turquoise waters beyond it. There is beach service offering beach chairs/umbrellas, parasailing, wave runners, scuba diving, snorkel trips, Hobie cat sailboats, and wind surfers right outside the condo on the white powdery beach. Wicky's, the only air-conditioned beachfront restaurant in Playa, offers all day dining and weekend live entertainment. There is 24-hour front desk service staffed by Encanto Resorts.
PLAYA ACTIVITIES: XCaret,XPlor, Xel Ha, a ferry over to Cozumel, ATV tours in the jungle, zip line tours, cenote and cave tours, Mayan ruin tours to Coba, Tulum and Chichen Itza...you name it! Ask our concierge for help planning these or walk around 5th Avenue and see videos of these activities and book them with the tour operators. Eating and shopping in Playa is great fun especially with all the fantastic choices. Playa restaurants have a large European and South American influence. Evenings bring a variety of strolling musicians and several restaurants offer live entertainment. The balmy, tropical weather is perfect for walking around and taking in the sights and sounds of Playa no matter the time of day.
El Faro is a non-smoking property. You must be at least 25 years old to rent our property and no pets are allowed.

This is the 2nd condo we have owned in Playa and we know it is the perfect one. The location, the amenities, and the views make this a fabulous 'home away from home' for us. We also have rental properties in Maui and Florida. It is all about the beach for us. Maybe because we live in the desert! Playa is the best vacation spot whether you are a sun seeker, a thrill seeker or just searching for the perfect margarita...it has everything. Bienvenidos!
Why the Owner Chose El Faro
El Faro is located right on the beach between the 2 piers. The location couldn't be better. Morning beach walks and sunrises are perfect. There are restaurants everywhere but the ones right on the beach are the best...especially Wicky's!
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
El Faro is located directly across from Geo Fish. This dive shop is so convenient for snorkel and dive tours. You can wake up, walk next door and then head out to the beach and your dive boat. 5th Avenue with all of the restaurants and shopping is steps away. A taxi stand is right at the intersection of 5th and 10th. We get to see the lights of Cozumel at night from our balcony. This is an ideal location in one of our favorite places in Mexico.

I cannot say enough nice things about the owners or the property. They simply did everything possible to insure we had the best vacation of our lives. The unit itself is meticulously clean and decorated to the max. If you are seriously considering staying in Playa Del Carmen this unit will put you in the heart of the town on one side and the ability to do nothing on the beach side. It simply the best of both worlds. One thing you will find at El Faro is an amazing english speaking support staff. they simply couldn't do enough for us.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
