My husband and I spent the month of July at the home and it was perfect. A great way to relax and escape the 110 degree heat of Arizona? The view is fabulous and the home has a fully appointed kitchen and comfortable beds. Our grandchildren enjoyed having "sleep overs" and our family enjoyed barbeques on the deck. We were so impressed, we have reserved the home for next summer!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

My husband and I and our 2 dogs were lucky to find this cabin to rent for 2 months. We just sold our house in Ct and were looking for a new one in Wa. and this was the perfect spot for us to spend the holidays and have the best view of Puget Sound and the Olympic mountains. Situated along the water we could smell the cedar trees every time we went out. We were also close to Edmonds which is a great town. Want to thank Pauline and Steve for making our first experience in the Pacific Northwest a wonderful one. jan and RichRecommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

We stayed at Picnic Point for my nieces wedding in Edmonds, so the "cabin" was a perfect location. We were plesantly surprised at the well cared for, fully stocked home. Detailed and ready for us the travelers! So comfortable, roomy, well appointed and we absolutely loved our stay. The peace and serenity of the surroundings is just what we all needed! Watching the ships, listening to the train, or "Thomas" as the 22 month old would say, enjoying the changes of the sky, sunsets and sunrises were all a part of the experience. We truly enjoyed the fire pit and patio area plus the grass and open space to play. Downtown Edmonds is a special place to visit with it's unique shops, restaurants, etc. Picnic Point Beach is just a short walk from the home and a fun place to go get your feet wet and explore the seashore. We highly recommend this beautiful home and hope to return again someday. We stayed here to be able to visit with some of our Shoreline friends. The house and views were more than I expected and the yard gave the kids (ages 4 & 6) a great and safe place to explore and run. The house is well stocked with everything we needed and has a warm, peaceful vibe. There is a bedroom on the main floor, and 2 beds in the loft area above. We slept upstairs and this worked great as our kids could be close (those who need more privacy may want to know that the upstairs beds, while separated and down a hall don't have doors and are open to the living room below). The beds were super comfy. This house is has lots of natural light and amazing views. We lucked out with nice weather and were able to enjoy the deck. The kids loved taking the 2 min drive to Picnic Point so they could hunt for shells. It's a quick drive down to Hwy 99 and close to I-5, so getting around was a breeze. We drove down to the Edmonds Ferry terminal and took day trip to Kingston. We ate at Sparta's on Hwy 99 (YUM!), Saw Mill Cafe (in MIll Creek), and the Hat Trick (in Everett, awesome pizza!). Overall a great trip was had by all at this amazing house. We would stay here again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

My family stayed here for one month as we transitioned between our home in Canada and our new home in Seattle. We loved our time here - the views are amazing and so calming. The amenities are second to none, and the owners were very accommodating of our two big black dogs and our cat! We recommend staying here to anyone - you will not be disappointed!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

We first rented this home in May 2009, came back again in September. Fall was even a nicer season with the fire place going in the evening. We've booked it again for September 2010 with out of town relatives and will probably keep the September "tradition" going from now on. The sunsets are truely spectacular, home is very clean with good quality beds and bedding, and plenty of room. The short 3-4 minutes walk to the water was fun every day.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

Oh wow!!! The drive to the cabin was amazing. The view amazing. We spent $600.00 going on a whale tour and the very next day while eating breakfast we saw a group of whales right from the window. It was amazing. The kitchen was fully stocked. House was very clean. We took a beautiful walk to the beach almost daily. The train was scary the first time we heard it come through but after that you just tuned it out. My kids loved the slugs and Riley the golden retriever (what a sweetheart). The bathtub in the basement was its only downfall but there was a shower upstairs with amazing water pressure and soft water to counter that. Front load washer and dryer... so greatful for that. I was concerned with the photos because people stretch the pictures to make places look bigger. But it was much bigger than I imagined. Overall, this place was well worth the price and watching the sunset every night was a miracle in action every day. We will definately be back. 2-3 miles from grocery stores and many coveniences too...Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.
