Coming Home to our house in La Mesa has always felt good and we want you to feel the same way!
We are located on Mount Helix and have a lovely garden that surrounds our guest cottage located in a corner of our property. It's a cozy one room guest cottage with sitting area, TV with DVD, King size bed with down duvets, bathroom with shower (+ blow drier), kitchenette with fridge and microwave.
Enjoy swimming in our newly restored solar heated pool, take a walk by the stream or relax reading a book in the park like setting by the fish pond.
When in season help yourself to lovely figs, limes or lemons for your Margarita or pick your oranges for fresh orange juice.
We are just a few minutes walk from our neighborhood hot spot our "local pub/restaurant" and about 15 min from airport.
Beaches, downtown and shops are all close by with easy access to freeways.

My husband and I just got back from staying at the cottage for a week and the photo's didn't do it justice. The couple who own it were great people.It is clean and has lots of charm. It is close to the mall and resturants. It is really close to everything. We really enjoyed swiming in the pool and having a glass of wine in the jacuzzi.Lot's of places to sit and have coffee or read a book. There is place to sit and use your laptop.I just can not say enough about the place or the people who live there. We will miss staying at the cottage and the couple that own it. We will stay there again when we are in town.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

Eva and Trevor made me feel welcome the moment I drove into the driveway. Eva gave me the grand tour and made me feel right at home. The cottage has stunning views and is perfect for that get away that everyone needs. It is close to shopping, restaurants and activities although I spent a bit of time just enjoying the beautifully landscaped grounds. The pictures do not do justice to actually seeing the grounds. My husband and I are so excited to return to our Cosy Cottage and dear friends Eva and Trevor. We had so much fun the last time that we had to return to make sure it was real. Everything is just perfect. The cottage is so clean and well kept plus Eva aways has her way of making you feel welcome. The first thing we do is pick some oranges and go for the bread, butter, jelly and cheese she always has available for her guests. When we come to visit our son and his family (our grandchildren are the best) it's nice to come back to our own private retreat. We have beautiful grounds to walk on plus the privacy you receive from the many flowers and fruit trees surrounding the cottage area. The pool is always available. Eva and Trevor are wonderful people and we can't wait to return.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

My husband and I spent a week enjoying this beautifully decorated and equipped cottage set in its own patio and garden. Oranges picked from the garden's trees were part of our breakfast each day, and the patio table was perfect for a late afternoon glass of wine. Once our gracious host showed us the cottage and garden, we settled in, coming and going without disturbing the. Each evening we felt we were returning home. The cottage and property were every bit as lovely as the photographs on the web site, and everything was clean and well-maintainedRecommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

I reserved the cottage for my daughter who was in urgent need of shelter (her husband was hospitalized at GROSSMONT HOSPITAL); he is back at home and doing so much better; and she was so happy and thankful to her hosts because they made her feel welcome at that dificult time; she said that this place was beautiful and peaceful and only a mile away to the hospital so she was able to come and go really easy and still have a restful sleep. Thank you so much for your kindness and we will visit again just for fun in the near future (summer time will be awesome to experience the pool). Very nice well furnished studio with an superb outdoor private patio. The patio has a marvelous view of the mountains to the East while surrounded by a very beautiful yard. The ambiance can't be beat. Very helpful hosts.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

My stay was perfect. The description and photos of the cottage are very accurate, and is charming, private, and quiet and clean. The grounds are lovely and well maintained. The hostess Eva and her husband Trevor live on the property and are more than accomodating. I can't say enough on how delightful and warm they are and really do go out of their way to ensure your stay is a good one. I appreciated her warm touches...a glass of wine and fresh flowers. The location is very convenient...just a few blocks from I-8 east and west, and close to Grossmont Center for shopping and dining. A new Trader Joe's is nearby as well adjacent to Grossmont Center. I will miss Eva and Trevor. I am so glad I chose their cottage for my 'home away from home.' I hope to return again.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

Eva and Trevor are very nice and accomodating. I even accidentally ruined one her rugs and she was very sweet about it. I felt so bad :( Anyways this place is perfect for a couple. We took our 5 month old baby and had a blast. We positioned her bumbo throughout the property and took some very professional looking pictures as their lanscaping is beautiful! You could truly have a fun and relaxing stay just hanging out in their backyard. They have a magnificent property and are wonderful hosts. We loved it!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Eva and Trever were great! They were more than accommodating. The location is in a quiet La Mesa neighborhood that has easy access to anywhere you'd want to go in the area. The cottage is very private and feels like it's on its own property. The room has an air conditioning unit that works well, a small kitchen with anything you could need and the bathroom has a shower. The landscaping is lovely. There is a pool that is very warm (solar heating). There are plenty of places to relax and sit with a book or a glass of wine. We will definitely come back.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

We were warmly and cheerfully met by the hostess who lives on sight, at the prearranged time. As she took us to our cottage (separate guest quarters) behind the main house, we were so impressed with the beautiful garden setting, including a koi pond and water feature, various trees, flowers, garden paths, a solar heated pool and numerous outdoor seating areas. Our cottage was CLEAN, warm and inviting. It was functional, well appointed with tchotchkes, knick knacks,and comfortable furniture, including a king sized bed and wicker furniture. The fully furnished kitchenette was a real plus. It has easy access on and off the freeway. A great place to stay for anyone who is visiting a student at nearby SDSU.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.
