Upon arrival, we were very pleased to see that the house was exactly as it had been described. It was spacious and clean and welcoming after a day of site seeing and driving. The kitchen was fully furnished with plenty of dishes and cutlery and after purchasing grocery items in Groveland, we realized a lot of the dry goods we purchased were already in the house. Probably a good idea to see what is available at the house before you buy items like sugar and cooking oil. The bed linens and towels were good quality and no detail was overlooked. We used the grill on two of the nights and were very happy with it. Our teenage boys loved the game room and spent a lot of time there. We all enjoyed having the extra space, two bathrooms and especially seeing all the deer (including a mother with two young fawns) on the property and throughout the neighborhood. Like the other review states, the driveway is at a pretty steep angle, so it is better to drive past the house, turn around and then drive up from the opposite side to avoid scraping the underbody of your vehicle. On our last night, we had dinner at the Iron Door Saloon. Even though we were initially told we'd have to wait 30 minutes for a table, we were seated right away and had a terrific server. The spicy bloody mary and the bison burgers were terrific. The Saloon is filled with all sorts of pictures, stuffed animals and other memorabilia and should not be missed. One other tip - if you are going to Yosemite from the property, there are no gas stations east of Ferretti on Hwy 120. The closest one was just outside the park and gas was over $4 a gallon. It is better to drive back into Groveland and fill up there. We loved this property, would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to everyone. It was perfect!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My husband, daughter, and parents stayed at this lovely house during September and October of 2010. The owners were very accommodating and the house was very clean. The house was spacious and very comfortable. My husband and I hiked at Yosemite almost every day, but we really enjoyed coming home to a spacious home with all the conveniences, even though the drive to our hikes were a little longer. The owners were willing to work with us for a great price. The gated community was a plus for the safety for our family. The kitchen was furnished, the beds were comfortable, and our daughter loved the extra large TV in the basement as well as the gameroom. This home had something for everyone. Thanks Heidi and Tom for a great stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My family had 4 nights in Pineview in August 2010. The house is comfortable and clean with good facilities. The games room was a hit with the adults and children alike. Swimming in the lake to cool off after a long hot day in Yosemite was popular with the children. Groveland (10 mins away) is a lovely little town and access to Yosemite is excellent. I would recommend this home without hesitation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

This home was absolutely immaculate and gorgeous. Four of us stayed here for 3 nights as a base for Yosemite and came away thinking, 'what a pick!'. It was so comfortable and spacious and homely, we were actually glad to have a day off from driving to just laze about the house, relax on the deck, watch TV on the sofas-to-melt-into in the cool room downstairs, and then spend an hour or two with a drink and a laugh down in the fun-filled games room. Never a moment for boredom! You might want to be sure you stock up at the local store though as it's a bit of a windy-bendy road to and from, make sure you check the kitchen for what you need before you go. We were lucky enough to meet Heidi and Tom the owners who were fantasic, really friendly and helpful, and very responsive to any queries we had. Would love to revisit this wee gem some day!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Just returned from what has been our BEST getaway to the YOSEMITE region to date. This house offers far beyond the description...it felt like HOME. From the time you begin communicating with the owner to the time you take your last step out the door at checkout....it exudes much warmth & beauty. The home is very clean, so nicely laid out and decorated...it's light & bright with all the amenities a family would need. The children loved the game room and the adults of course loved the deck. We even visited the lake and played for a while. We look forward to future visits to the region and will not hesitate to stay at Pineview again. As we say in Chamorro Si Yu'us Ma'ase'-Thank you so very much for giving us this opportunity to share the Yosemite & Pine Mountain Lake experience with our family from Guam.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We stayed at this property and had a wonderful stay. The home is lovely (recently remodeled), well furnished, and very clean. The owners have provided many thoughtful touches to make the stay comfortable. I tend to be quite picky about mattresses, but I thought the one in the master bedroom was excellent. I also appreciated that there were good quality, soft sheets and towels. The full kitchen was also well stocked with cookware, mixing bowls, utensil, etc. There were minimal pantry basics (salt, sugar, etc.) in the cupboards, but we brought everything we needed (there's also a grocery store nearby). Our arrival was smooth and easy--even though we got in at a late hour. Everything was well organized for us. The owners have a good, simple system in place for arrivals. The directions we received from them were easy to follow. The only thing I might offer as a tip to others considering this rental is that there is a very steep driveway. If you have an SUV, it's not a problem. But we were in a small car, and we had to be barely moving down the driveway to not bottom-out--it was pretty tough to avoid scraping . I would not want to attempt going down that drive way with a low-to-the-ground sports car. It's possible to navigate it in a small car, but you need to exercise some care. Even with that small issue, we wouldn't hesitate to rent this property again, or recommend it to friends. It's a really great place, and a very good value. The drive to Yosemite took us about 45 min. to the park entrance, plus about another 30 minutes to the Valley floor with light traffic. It's an especially good base for exploring Hetch Hetchy, as that's on the side of the park nearest Pine Mountain Lake.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.
