Saint Michel is in the Latin Quarter, an area in the 5th and parts of the 6th district of Paris, on the Left Bank of the Seine river, nearby the Sorbonne University.

Known for its lively atmosphere and bistros, the Latin Quarter is home to several higher education establishments besides the university itself, such as the Ecole Normale Superieure, the Ecole des Mines de Paris, the Schola Cantorum, and the Jussieu University Campus.

The area gets its name from the Latin language which, as the international language of learning in the Middle Ages, was once widely spoken in and around the University.

Today the Left Bank is considered as the city's most romantic and fashionable district mixing day and night life.

If you take a stroll you can easily find tons of restaurants, bars, pubs, cinemas, music and festivities in the area directly behind the building. Or you can go shopping on the Boulevards Saint Michel & Saint Germain. Or simply visit the booksellers on the banks.

You are in very town center and all the famous spots are amazingly close : the Seine river, the Latin Quarter, Saint Germain des Pres, the Saint Louis island, the Marais, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Sainte Chapelle, the Luxembourg gardens, the Jardin des Plantes, the Louvre Museum, the Orsay Museum, and so much more...

The flat is very easy to reach:
- By RER B if you arrive by airplane (Charles de Gaulle or Orly airports)
- By Metro Line 4 if you arrive by train (Gare du Nord or Gare de Lyon)
- A Taxi station is just in front of the building

We put a lot of effort to offer an elegant decoration and a lot of storage space and we believe we succeeded in creating a fantastic love nest for honeymooners.

The flat is equipped with a high quality convertible sofa, providing an excellent sleep thanks to its 200x140x14cm anti allergic foam matress.

You’ll also find a 46 inches ultra flat screen TV which will blow you away, offering a truly unique viewing experience as well as a multimedia access to your laptop.

Once the booking will be confirmed you'll receive a 40-page instruction booklet to let you familiarize with the apartment, its equipment and the neighborhood. At your arrival we will personally check you in and we'll spend about 20/30 minutes with you to explain how all the appliances operate and to answer to any questions you might have. We'll also be available during your stay, should you encounter any difficulties. A bottle of french wine will be offered too.

Henry Matisse (31/12/1869 - 03/11/1954) and Albert Marquet (27/03/1875 - 14/06/1947) two of the best known french artists of the 20th century and leading figures in modern art, both lived in the nearby building (19, Quai Saint Michel) and painted several views they could see from their studio window, the very same view you’ll enjoy during your stay!

  • I can't say enough about how fantastic an apartment this is and how professionally Federico and Iwona manage all the transactions associated with renting in a foreign country. Amazing view, perfect neighborhood, super clean, modern, everything works, as advertised. This was our first trip to Paris and our French is very limited. Federico's English is impeccable and he cares deeply that his guests have what they need. Great people, great place. Highly recommended.

  • My two weeks in the city at Federico's apartment were glorious! The location is perfect . The very easy access to the bus and metro system (and even the batobus) made every place in Paris most accessible - but it is so central that most venues were walkable. The apartment is as beautiful and comfortable as as the pictures and Federico and Iwona are great hosts. The initial orientation to the apartment was thorough and everything was spotlessly clean and in perfect order. The description of this property is so accurate - it has a magnificent view. You know that you are in Paris every time you look out of those fabulous windows and become a part of the hustle and bustle below from the comfort of the cozy oasis above.   • My sister and I stayed at this apartment during our trip to Paris in October and we couldn't be happier with our stay! The apartment itself was clean and had everything we needed, and the location was great. Federico and Iwona were so helpful and friendly--in fact, when Iwona met us to let us in, she explained how everything worked (including how to open the door, which was pretty tricky for us!) and then showed us to Carrefour supermarket so we could stop in and get some essentials. I will definitely stay at one of their rentals (they have another that fits more people) the next time I am in Paris!

  • Wow, wow, wow. My husband and I had the most dreamy, wonderful Paris vacation – and I will say that at least 75% of that is due to our most beautiful VRBO flat! The owners, Federico and Iwona, are such great people! Iwona was the one who met us, gave us our keys, and welcomed us to our beautiful flat. She was very pleasant! Sadly, our schedules prevented us from meeting Federico in person, so I was very glad we got to chat on the phone the day before we left Paris because he really was very nice. One thing I loved about renting this flat was that the initial process went very smoothly. Federico is very thorough and very prompt in responding to emails. He even set up a very detailed website with pictures, neighborhood, and even a brief history of Matisse and Marquet (who lived in the next building) – including sample pictures of their paintings. He also put together an information booklet explaining how to use the appliances, and listing the markets (grocery) close to us, as well as sites of interests. But now to the flat. Gosh, I could go on and on! The place was very clean! The appliances, décor, and bathroom were all very new. The pullout bed and pillows were oh-so-comfortable! The kitchen was well-stocked. They even welcomed us with a bottle of red wine! They also stocked the fridge with a starter bottle or two of water – which we were so grateful for after our long trip in. The bathroom was also well-stocked, and included a great hair dryer. We even found a plug converter! Oh, and the views! In the mornings, my husband and I would start off the day with breakfast at the little round table while gazing out at the Seine River. Day and night, we liked to lean out the windows and watch the people and motorists going by below, or gaze up and down the river. We liked the busy bustle of the street, as well as the fact that we could shut out the noise once we closed the windows. The free Wi-fi and phone service just completed the perfect package, and we felt right at home since we brought our laptop and iPhone. It was just so nice to be able to come home to all this after a long day of sightseeing! Finally, this flat is VERY ideally situated. I loved how it was right in front of the Seine River, very close to Notre Dame, and set in the Latin Quarter. The little streets directly behind the flat were great to walk through and were lined with several lovely places to eat. Also in this area are a couple of very old churches, the Sorbonne University, and several bookstores. There are two very nice cafes on each corner (open even past midnight!), a pub two doors down, souvenir shops to do all your souvenir shopping, bouqinistes vendors right across the street, and most importantly, the metro just at the corner. I LOVED this place, and I highly recommend it! My husband and I would definitely come back here if we are ever lucky enough to visit Paris again! Thanks Federico and Iwona!

  • Federico and Iwona are absolutely correct in assessing that their property has the best view in Paris. My daughters and I loved opening the windows and looking out over the Seine to Notre Dame. I so appreciated both Federico and Iwona's patience in explaining to us how everything worked which really made for an ideal visit. They even met us when our arrival was later than anticipated and were very understanding about everything, really. My daughters loved them both as did I and we know that when we get to Paris next , we will hope that their apartment is available. We walked to mostly all of the places we visited, even the Eiffel Tower. This rental was absolutely perfect for us. Also, the telephone service available was wonderful for two kids missing their dad who couldn't make the trip with us. Thank you both. We really enjoyed meeting you and hope to see you soon. Your personal attentiveness to the rental process will ensure that your flat stays rented so I can only hope that it will be available when we want to visit again.

  • We spent 11 days exploring Paris and one of our most positive experiences was the enjoyment of this apartment. It was easy to get to from the airport. Federico met us upon arrival and spent time with us explaining the apartment and giving us many useful tips. The view from our window was picture-postcard-perfect. Notre Dame is just down the street and we took in a concert there one evening. The entrance to the Metro is across the street as is a stop of one of the bus tour companies. The location and the building itself are very secure and safe. It was a pleasure to come home to every day. The panoramic view is spectacular and a perfect location to enjoy the play of light offered by the Paris night sky. We have wonderful memories of sitting by the window in the evening; drinking wine and watching the boats go by on the river Seine below us. The apartment is well designed and well appointed with everything you might need. Every detail has been thought of and executed with care. We were extremely delighted with the entire experience.
