We always looked forward to coming home and enjoying the wonderful views from our window. The flat itself was very nice and clean with all one needed for a great holiday. We were very sorry to leave. The well equiped kitchen and the clothes washing facilities were ideal. And don't be put off by the sofa bed - it was very comfortable and extremely easy to open & close each day. Plenty of food stores and restaurants nearby. Metro round the corner. All in all, a great apartment from which to enjoy what Paris has to offer.

I just returned from a 7 day stay in this apartment, and it was the perfect place from which to explore Paris with my daughter. The apartment is centrally located in a very interesting neighborhood, and is ideal for walking to many major sights and great restaurants. If your destination is a little farther than you care to walk, the Metro stop is very close by. The location also felt very safe, and we had no concerns about coming and going at night. As the photos show, the flat itself is tasefully appointed and has everything you need for a comfortable stay, but is not cluttered with extras. We used the fully stocked kitchen to prepare fresh foods from nearby markets so we didn't have to eat every meal in restaurants. Finally, the owners were very helpful and responsive. I highly recommend this apartment!

My older daughter and I passed five nights at this apartment on the Quai Saint Michel in early January 2012. We were given a warm welcome by the owner who located and thoroughly explained all the amenities for us (in French, but English was offered as well). The studio is precisely as it appears in the photographs, very efficiently laid out leaving plenty of elbow room, and was sparkling clean. It was very well equipped for two people, and we had no trouble preparing breakfast and dinner each day. The three large windows made it quite light, even during our rainy stay. The view is actually across to the police prefecture, but you can easily see both up and down the river if you lean out of the windows. Both the building and apartment were very secure as well as generally very quiet. For some reason, the French allow their doors to slam, probably to be sure they are secure, but after 25 years it still startles me every time. A few things to be aware: this is a third floor walk-up via circular staircases. The 3-4 lane Quais along the Seine are very busy night and day. We are city dwellers and the street noise and light did not bother us, but I wondered if I would mind the same during the warmer months when I would want to open the windows. The late-night noise from the bistro below was quite noticeable on the weekend, even through the heavy windows, but all quieted, of course, upon closing. And it's Paris -- we should have been out ourselves anyway! One glance at the map will tell you that you are in the heart of things. The elevator down to the RER is literally next door, tho the ticketing machines were not working the day we left, and we had to drag all our bags down six flights of stairs across the street after all. C'est la vie. Federico was an excellent correspondent while we were making arrangements for our visit. Paperwork and payments were easily handled through e-mail and PayPal. I would not hesitate to recommend this comfortable apartment for either short or longer stays.

We stayed here for new years eve and loved it. It is right in the heart of paris and very close to the Saint-Michel RER station which is one of the main hubs that can take you anywhere you want to go. The pull out bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the room was very clean. If you have trouble with stairs this might not be for you. We ended up making friends with the people downstairs and actually partied with them for NYE. All in all, this place was awesome, and i when i think back to our trip i miss it. Booking the room was simple, we used paypal. And P.S. Fedrico had a bottle of wine waiting for us!

Just had a lovely week in the flat. Location is supurb, right on the river with lots to do in the Latin Quarter nearby. Lots of major signts are walkable. Also right next to one of the few RER stations that goes directly to Charles de Gaulle. Can see Notre Dame from the windows if you lean out and look to the right a bit. Flat is very small (I would guess around 250 sq feet???) but space is used very well. Bed is indeed super-comfortable even for a sofa bed. There was no top sheet, which was a bit odd. Also no AC if you go in the summer. It got a little stuffy at night even in October with the heat turned off. We tried to open the windows but it was too loud outside to sleep (flat is diagnoal from a police station so lots of sirens). The window panes are thick so not a big problem with windows closed. Flat owners helpful, dependable, very kind. Overall a wonderful experience that I would highly recommend.

Owner response:Hi Kate, thank you for your review. Just three remarks from my side. 1) The surface of the apartment is 300 sq feet. 2) We never provide a top sheet. At every check-in we do provide 1 bed sheet, 1 duvet cover, 2 cases for the square pillows (60x60cm), 2 cases for the ergonomic pillows (50x33cm). They are all washed and ironed. Top sheet are not provided with duvets, they are rather provided with blankets. The top sheet is replaced by the duvet cover. 3) The flat has 6 brand new windows (all sound proof and double glazed). 3 ones facing the street and 2 ones facing a quiet courtyard. If it gets warm and you need silence, you can just open the 2 ones on the courtyard. Also, in summer time we do provide a powerful fan. We are against AC because they are not eco-friendly.

The apartment was clean and contained everything needed, from dishes to towels. They let us drop our bags as the apartment was being cleaned, so we didnt have to haul them around. The owners were extremely friendly. The location and view are both incredible. Walking distance from most major landmarks. The phone and wifi were very convenient. We were very satisfied.

The views WERE spectacular. I spent hours just hanging out of the windows soaking in the sights and sounds. My wife and I concluded that this Apartment was the best possible place for our visit to Paris. I was centrally located. I could hang my head out the window and see the Seine, Notre Dame, The Louvre, St. Michael's Point. We could walk to the Pantheon. Right behing our building was an absolutely fantastic and exciting dining area in the Latin Quarter with just about any kind of cuisine imaginable. I loved this spot. Our hosts did a great job of settling us in, and then leaving us to enjoy ourselves. The Metro, buses and RER were also almost outside the front door. This place was just what we needed for Paris.

An Absolutely Perfect Time in Paris!

My husband and I stayed in this flat during our visit to Paris from May 20-27, 2011, and it could not have been more perfect. The location is ideal--right in the heart of the city with an RER/Metro stop just a block away (so it's quite easy to get everywhere!), and the Latin Quarter/St. Germain neighborhoods are easily walkable. The flat itself is very well-designed and beautifully decorated, and the views from the window really are stunning. It was just the right size for two people, and it felt very elegant and modern. We loved coming home to it after a long day of exploring the city. As others have noted, the sofa bed is extremely comfortable (I, too, was skeptical!), and the kitchen is well-appointed with everything you could need. Federico was a pleasure to work with, and took great care to provide very thorough instructions before we left, so everything was very smooth with check-in and check-out. We did find the noise from the street below to be a bit loud (especially on the weekend), so it's best to sleep with the windows closed (and very light sleepers might want to bring ear plugs). The only other minor issue we encountered was trying to only dry our clothes in the washer/dryer (without washing and then drying), which led to quite a perplexing evening as we kept inadvertently filling up the washer with water! Perhaps a translated instruction manual might be a good addition. It was wonderful to have the washer, though, which helped us to pack light on our trip. In short, I cannot recommend this flat more highly. It was exactly the kind of Paris charm that we were seeking, and we would stay there again in a heartbeat. We hope to return to Paris soon and visit our new home away from home!

Sorry this review is late but I just wanted to say that we loved this place. This was our first trip to Paris and the location was wonderful. We were late due to a train strike but Federico's staff was patiently waiting for us and even helped with the luggage. The flat was spotless and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Federico was always a quick phone call away and graciously arranged our early taxi on the day of our departure. I would highly recommend this studio to anyone that can handle stairs. my husband and i visited Paris in February, 2011. The place we've chosen for stay was Iwona and Federico's flat right on St.Michel street. To say that our stay was perfect is to say nothing! But i better start from the very begininning and name the advantages of renting this flat we found true for ourselves: 1. quick exchange of the scan contracts with the owner in the beginning of the negotiation process. Federico answered all my questions and showed to be very accurate and adequate in discussing the details. It was very important for me because it was my first time i went to Europe and the first time I rented a flat through the internet in a different country (with different legislature, language and business approach) 2. the scan contract was well and easy accepted by General Consul for visa purporses (we were granted visa in one hour. to compare the regular time spent on getting visa is two weeks from giving the documents to the Consul) 3. great location 3.1. easy to get from the airport. RER brought us from the airport right on the bank of Seine to St.Michel in 30-40 minutes. You just walk out of the ground and appear in the center of Paris, right in it's heart. RER is low cost (especially in comparison with taxi). 3.2. lots of places to dine (although not all of them of a good quality) around. 3.3. lots of places of interest are in walking distance. Louvre, Notre Dam, Conciergery, St Chapel, Pantheon, St Germain street, Shakespeare and co book shop... and etc. 4. very welcoming and friendly owners of the flat. (it would have been more fair to start from this). They are just adorable! Federico is very precise in telling you all the details about the apartment and staff in it. Everything works as he says. And very beautiful and sweet Iwona. 7. great additional services for free like - calls to Russia, wi-fi internet. It was important to us to call everyday as we left our only child 3 years old with his grandma in Russia. We were very anxious about it. I think our vacations were so great that we could talk to him twice a day and it cost us nothing!!! With wi-fi internet we could download films connected with Paris and watch them to get more emotional about our stay. For ex. we went to Louvre and then watched over Dan Brown's da Vinchi Code and etc. In conclusion I should say that we are very very happy we visited Paris and stayed in such a great place as Federico and Iwona's apartment. Apartment was as described and was just wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the situation was perfect - so many restaurants and bistros to choose from. Would recommend to friends. We have no criticisms - merely one suggestion - a couple of additional comfortable chairs to sit in at night - otherwise all was perfect.

Great Location and Great View

I can't say enough about how convenient everything was to the flat. The metro/RER station is less than a block from the flat. Of which, the B line takes you from the airport to within steps of the front door (if you use the elevator which is nice anyways with your luggage). The C line will take you to Musee d' Orsay, Invalides, Eiffel Tower, or all the way to Versaille without a transfer. The neighborhood was wonderful in itself though. Notre Dame is practically across the street, tons of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. As far as the flat itself the size was good for two people. Larger than what you would get at a hotel. The kitchen was well equipped to make meals. The washer/dryer was great to have so we could limit the amount of clothes we brought. The bed was comfortable, including the pillows. The only thing that took getting used to was the hip bath. There is a large flat screen TV in the flat but we never turned it on during the 9 days we were there. Overall it was a great place to stay and highly recommend it for a couple staying in Paris. I would find myself often standing at the window looking out at the beautiful view of Notre Dame (you can also see the Louvre and on a clear day/night the top of the Eiffel Tower).

What can be said about this studio/apartment that hasn't already been said. We stayed during the month of November. So, the weather was sometimes a bit chilly, windy, and rainy (more like a drizzle). But who cares. We are in Paris! Let's start with the pros first. PROS: It is near everything that you wish to see in Paris. For first timers, this location is perfect. Subway station is across the street. Buses and taxis run in front of the apartment building (you don't need them!). There is even a taxi stop right in front of the apartment's building. Restaurants and shops are all around the apartment building. Apartment is well furnished and the view out of the window at night is just breathtaking. CONS: No big fluffy pillows. The ones furnished were the size of sofa cushions. WiFi was tricky to stay connected with my XP-based notebook, but once I figure out the problem, I was able to connect (iPhone & Mac had no problems connecting.) NOTE #1: Use the subway to travel from/to the airport and save yourself a lot of money. This is easy to do. Go to the train station (on the first floor of the airport) and buy two tickets (E13 total) to "St Michel" subway station. Get on the train (there is only the "B" train departing from the airport!). Once you reach "St Michel" stop, find the elevator that takes you to street level; once you're out, walk a few feet to the main street and take a left (away from Notre Dame). The door to the building is less than 20 feet away. If you can't find the elevator, just find your way to the "St Michel" exits. NOTE #2: Buy yourself the iPhone app named "Metro Paris Subway" by Presselite. If you are going to use the subway, this is the best 99 cents you will ever spend on this vacation. NOTE #3: Learn basic words or phrases like 'thank you', 'English', 'How much', and numbers. Although most clerks speak limited English---just enough to close the business transaction at hand, French natives do appreciate you saying something to them in their native language.

We enjoyed the location as well as the layout of the apartment. Although we did not cook, the kitchen is perfect for the few dinners and breakfast everyday we spent there. The rest of the apartment is modern with just enough space to make it quite comfortable. The bed was the most comfortable fold out sofa I have ever slept on with a not too firm mattress. The location was beautiful with Notre Dame and the Sienne right out your window. The windows did not block out all the sound but it was insulated enough to dull the traffic noise to make it comfortable. The many eating establishments of the Latin Quarter were right around the corner. The owners met us there and showed us the clean, modern apartment that is a place I will return to again and will recommend to others. The bottle of wine was a nice touch.

Staying in an apartment was the perfect way to see Paris on our honeymoon. Federico and Iwona are incredible. We picked their apartment because of the amazing reviews we read on VRBO adn they were 100% accurate. The apartment is sooo nice, clean and set up perfectly. It is in a great location with incredible views of the Seine and Notre Dame. As others have said, the location on a main street makes it very convenient, but not at all loud. The pullout couch is comfortable and soo easy to convert back and forth, it was not a hassle to take it up and down every day. Again, we can't say enough about Federico and Iwona, they are professional and nice and really know what they are doing. I would recommend their apartment to anyone visiting Paris.

Perfect for a Romantic Escape in Paris

My husband and I just returned from a 4 night stay in Paris and stayed at this apartment. It was in such a wonderful spot with a real 'Parisian' view of the Seine and Notre Dame Cathedral. It was centrally located to a lot of the sights of Paris. Walking distance to Notre Dame, Ile Saint Louis and Sainte Chapelle. It was also very easy to get to from the airport with the direct RER B line and only a few short steps from the station to the apartment. Our two concerns before renting this flat was that it was on a busy street and there might be too much noise and the fact there was no bed but a pull out couch. Neither of these were an issue as the windows were excellent in keeping out the noise in the evenings and the pull out couch was extremely comfortable to sleep on. No issues at all! The apartment was extremely clean, well laid out and very organized. It was actually bigger than we thought it would be (as sometimes photos can make places look bigger than they are). It is just perfect for 2 people. The photos and descriptions were all accurate as were all the amenities. The washer and dryer were a godsend after 6 days traveling with a small wardrobe! Federico and Iwona were extremely professional, helpful and organized before, during and after our stay. Iwona explained how to use all the appliances and amenities in the apartment before leaving us the keys. I would highly recommend this property to a friend or relative if they are traveling to Paris and looking for a place to stay other than a hotel.

Charming well-located apartment!

What a great location -- next to the Seine and Notre Dame. Iwona welcomed us at the charming apartment and showed us how the appliances and television worked. Whenever we had a question, both Federico or Iwona were more than helpful. The couch turned into a bed and was more than comfortable. The place was very clean and after a day of traveling, the bottle of wine they presented to us was greatly appreciated. Being next to the Latin Quarter, we loved strolling the streets and stopping into a bakery to buy a baguette and eating it as we walked. Paris is for strolling and the apartment is centrally located to most all of the sites. If not, we were within a block of the Metro. I strongly recommend the apartment. Nearby there are several restaurants that Frommers suggested and were very satisfied. However, how can you go wrong in Paris! Thank you Iwona and Federico. We will come back!

A Wonderful Week in Paris!

My husband and I spent a delightful week in Paris staying at Federico and Iwona's apartment on Quai St Michel. After travelling all day from Germany by car, train and metro we were so relieved to be met by Iwona at the apartment. Despite the lateness of the day, she was friendly and helpful in showing us around the apartment and telling us all we needed to know regarding the working of the appliances etc. She and Federico had even left us with 2 complimentary welcoming bottles of wine and some beer which was a lovely touch for us weary travellers! The apartment is only a short walk from the metro and very convenient to a multitude of lovely restaurants. most of which we sampled during our stay. The view is magnificent! After a couple of days we actually started to take the sight of the Notre Dame and the Seine for granted! We did need to close the windows at night to keep out the noise of the street below. The apartment was impeccably clean and very well appointed with everything supplied that we needed. Apart from a few problems with the working of the washing machine/dryer due to our insufficient knowledge of French, everything worked perfectly. (Perhaps an English translation of the instructions would be good, Federico.) After 6 weeks in Europe I must say that Federico's sofa bed was the most comfortable bed we slept in! So easy to pull out and put away too! A big bonus that we really appreciated was the free phone calls home to Australia and the tourist information and booklets available in the apartment. My only negative comment would be the 58 steps that we had to walk up to get to the apartment, but if I was younger or fitter that would not have been a problem, and we were aware of that before we booked. The price one pays for a brilliant view! Iwona was also very helpful in assisting us to arrange our early morning transfer by taxi to the airport - this was really appreciated! Thank you Federio and Iwona for making our week in Paris perfect!

A great property to stay in when visiting Paris

My wife and I stayed here for a week and were very happy with our experience. The property is well located for anyone wanting to visit the sights of Paris. Many of these are within walking distance and the train station (RER and Metro) and a busy taxi rank are only 100 metres away, affording easy access to the balance. We found it very convenient to be able to catch the RER from CDG airport directly to our accommodation. The owners went out of their way to welcome us and answer our questions and help us with our bags (the stairs up the three floors are fairly steep). Although the flat is fairly compact it had all the facilities we needed, and it was great to have the use of a kitchen and be able to wash our clothes when we wanted to. We found the property to be very clean and well maintained, and we felt secure there. The view out over the Seine and looking up to Notre Dame was a real bonus. Overall we believe we enjoyed very good value for the rental and are happy to recommend the property to others.

My wife and I stayed in this flat from 8/5 to 8/12. We found it on VRBO and thought it looked amazing, and it completely lived up to those lofty expectations. From my first contact with Federico he was very professional and responsive. This eliminated the normal anxiety that is typical of renting an apartment in another country. Prior to arriving we received a COMPREHENSIVE instruction manual. While this seemed like overkill initially we found ourselves using it frequently. As a veteran of a few oversees rentals, I can say that you will not find this level of organization or thoroughness elsewhere. When we arrived in Paris, our plane was early, our bags arrived promptly, and we quickly caught a train into town. A great start to our trip, except we were over an hour early for our check in. The apartment was still being cleaned, but they were nice enough to allow us to store our bags while we set out into the city. A few notes on the apartment itself: -All of the accommodations (TV, appliances, furnishings, etc.) are first rate. I thought it was amazing to find this level of luxury in a rental. -Federico, has put an extraordinary amount of thought into everything so that the tenants have a good experience. -The location is phenomenal. Although, one should expect a huge influx of tourists everyday. Not a negative, but you shouldn’t expect deserted avenues. One final comment on the owners: They are nice people. We were met with a bottle of wine (excellent by the way) and provided an early checkout. This flat was one of the highlights of our honeymoon in Paris and we would rent here again. Die Wohnung liegt großartig in Nähe aller berühmten Sehenswürdigkeiten. Die Bilder entsprechen vollständig den tatsächlichen Gegebenheiten. Sie ist sehr gut ausgestattet und alles war sehr sauber und funktionstüchtig. Der Hauseingang ist gepflegt. Wir haben uns hier ausgesprochen wohl gefühlt und die Tage im August sehr genossen. Aufgrund der Nordlage bleibt die Wohnung auch im Sommer kühl, was sehr angenehm ist. Der verkehrsreiche Quai St. Michel ist deswegen kein Problem, weil man dadurch die Fenster Nachts geschlossen halten kann. Auch kann man Nachts die Fenster in den ruhigen Innenhof auflassen, was zusätzlich Kühlung bringt. Wir haben problemlos dort geschlafen. Wir können die Wohnung für alle bis zu 2 Personen ohne Einschränkung empfehlen.

My son and I stayed here for a week in July. We have been to Paris many times and wanted to try an apartment this time. What you see on the website is exactly what you will encounter! The apartment is in a terrific location, close to the metro, nightlife, upscale restaurants, tourist areas, as well as right around the corner from neighborhoods! We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Paris! We were lucky enough to spend one night in their other apartment a few blocks away. This apartment was also one that I would want to stay at if we had one more person staying with us. The studio was fully equipped with everything that we needed, and even had coffee, soaps, shampoo, etc. We really couldn't ask for more. Frederico and Winona couldn't be nicer or more helpful. We were in contact with them any time that we had a question or concern (and they were in the process of moving!). Thank you, thank you for making our trip so wonderful! If you close your eyes and just imagine a magic window into Paris... where would you open this window? I can't think of a better location than this one. The apartment has all modern, very good quality, appliances, internet, WiFi, HDTV, free phone lines you might need for your holiday. The host provided excellent service, at the right time. The sounds of Paris draw you outside while the views from the large apartment windows are like a dream from which you don't want to wake up. There is only one big problem: your last day there! When you leave you should try to find something wrong in order to survive in the real world, something like the staris, yes, too many stairs, much too many... like the stairs to heaven. Enjoy it while it lasts!

Perfect pied a terre in Paris

We stayed in the flat for 4 nights in June and found it to be just perfect for our short stay in Paris. The location could not be better and despite the busy street outside it was quiet with the windows shut. Space was used extremely thoughtfully throughout the apartment from the kitchen to the bathroom and they have provided every amenity to make the stay extremely comfortable. As noted by other guests, the bed is fantastic. The only piece of information that was missing from the description is that the flat is a 3rd floor walk up (no lift) - not a problem for us, but people should be advised. We highly recommend the flat for anyone who wishes to experience "living" rather than "staying" in Paris.

Owners were excellent . They were friendly and caring. Steps away from Notre Dame and in the middle of the Latin Quater. Great place to set up home base and walk everywhere. If not metro and taxis just out front. BATOBUS is opposite Notre Dame which we used often. Get the 5 day pass for 20 euros each. Great way to end day of walking. Stairs up to flat were cumbersome with luggage....good exercise following a day of local cuisine... The apt./flat is exactly what it looks like in the pictures provided. Linens and towels provided. Will return next year...or sooner....

I absolutely loved this appartment! Position is the best. Right on the Seine. No noise problems. The owner is meticulous with his properties. They are so clean,well looked after, and have a fabulous french feel to them. (I have stayed in 2 of the owners properties now both different to each other .. both awesome!) The area is a hive of activity in surrounding narrow cobbled streets. The RER connection is on the corner of this block , sooo convenient to get to from airport. The appartment offers everything you could need AND phone calls to land lines to just about anywhere in world are FREE. Great to catch up with loved ones at home and BRAG about where you are staying! The owners are a gorgeous couple who give a very comprehensive intro to appartment on arrival. Very professionally run. I wouldnt stay anywhere else from now on. It is walking distance to heaps of interesting places, Eglise St Sulpice, Luxembourg gardens, St Germain area, Musee d'Orsay, Notre Dame (one wakes up to the view of her out of your french windows..) rue de Buci (my favorite street in Paris) and so much more. The bed was a pull out (we left it out the whole time) and very comfortable. There is also a taxi rank just a few metres away for any early morning departures. All too easy!

The studio apt is compact but very clean and well-equipped with quality appliances and utinsels. Basics for a short stay (t-paper, cleanup products, cooking oil, tea and coffee, etc) are also provided. Federico is very helpful! I asked for a microwave and he provided one for a 4-night stay! Access to Left Bank sights, restaurants and shopping and metro is unbeatable. Highly recommended for a short stay unless 4 flights of stairs would be a problem. Note that you have to lean out the window to see Notre Dame but the view of the booksellers/Seine is magnificent and night lights beautiful.

We truly enjoyed our stay here. Some of the best aspects of the apartment: (1) the sofa bed, made by an Italian company with a couple retailers in the U.S. from whom we plan to order one; (2) the windows, excellent view from them, provide plenty of natural light, and when closed keep the street sounds out during sleeping hours; (3) the kitchen, complete with new appliances, convenient, and easy to prepare meals while socializing with whomever else is in the apartment. The RER from CDG airport brings you directly to where the apartment is located, and we enjoyed how the metro line (# 4)--one block away from the apartment--takes you directly to places like Montmartre without even needing to switch lines. This was our first time to Europe, so we were a bit nervous about the trip not to mention our stay at an apartment we found through the internet. It was so nice discover that upon our arrival, not only is Paris a beautiful city, but this apartment was lovely and looked exactly as it was shown online. We LOVED it! It was the perfect size for two, so convenient to everything in Paris from transportation to just strolling around the city. We were greeted by Iwona who welcomed us and showed us around the flat and how to use the appliances. We had a detailed binder to help us further with any other questions concerning the flat, the area around us and a phone number to contact Federico should we need anything else. It made our stay of eleven days perfect (seriously, who wouldn't like waking up every morning and look out at the Seine?) and Federico and Iwona couldn't have been nicer. We look forward to returning someday and would highly recommend staying here.

As a frequent visitor to Paris I was excited to stay at 17 Quai St Michel for many reasons its art historical location right next door to the building which housed the studios of the painters Henri Matisse and Albert Marquet, as I have loved and admired their paintings of the view from their studio windows. Now I too could gaze at the Seine and Notre Dame as they once did. The view from the windows was spectacular with the Pont St-Michel (bridge) to my left and Notre Dame to my right complete with a Christmas tree twinkling with lights. The location is a perfect spot to explore the 5th the nearby Flower Market, San Chapelle, the Cluny Museum, BHV (department store), and one of my favorite areas of food shops—Place Maubert which also has an open air market every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday—and it is just a short walk over the bridge to Ile St. Louis and the Marais. The design and decor of the apartment is perfect. Federico and Iwona have thought of every detail and comfort. The apartment was also quite warm while I was there during one of the coldest Decembers in Paris. Federico and Iwona were extremely helpful explaining the details of the apartment and they welcomed me with a bottle of wine. I look forward to returning again to enjoy the beautiful view of the Seine and to hear the bells of Notre Dame—it was a truly lovely Parisian experience. LuLu LoLo

Every once in a while, you're pleasantly surprised - That's for staying at this flat.We stayed here during our recent trip to Paris. Upon arriving at the Studio, I knew we have picked the right place. Scanning over the flat, you can tell instantly that the owners have put a lot of time and love into making this place shine. Their good taste and ATD (attention-to-details) definitely showed thru in this cozy oasis amidst of all the hustles and bustles outside.Outside, it is a lively neighborhood located in the heart of the Latin Quarter. Besides the awesome view of the Notre Dame, we are within walking distance from many shops, restaurants, taxi stand, a Metro station right around the corner, and an elevator that connects you directly to the RER subway platform (which was super handy when we had to lugged 2 huge baggage to catch the train) . In the evening, you and your loved ones can take a nice long stroll alongside of the Seine River right across the street – It is picture perfect Paris.The Amenities – It was clean and had all the amenities we needed. To be honest, I’d much rather stay here than some hotel. The place was beautiful for one, it comes with a fully functional kitchen, a washing machine/dryer, a large flat panel LCDtv with tons of hi-def stations, and free wi-fi hookup. Oh, and did I mentioned free calls to many countries? We called back home to California twice and my wife called her friends in London.I'm so glad we found this flat instead of wasting my money at a hotel that would have cost us $200.00+ a night! The owners Iwona and Federico are two of the warmest and friendliest persons we have ever met. They were super helpful with any questions that we threw at them about the city of Paris. You MUST stay here next time you visit Paris. It is in the perfect location and the room is charming, with all the little touches i.e giving you a bottle of complimentary water and wine that really makes you feel at ease after a long and grueling day of traveling. We have rented flats and houses abroad many times. Rarely does an owner like Federico come along that has the whole activity of local host, apartment designer and trouble shooter all honed to perfection. Our stay in Paris was part business and part pleasure so we wanted a conveniently located flat with amenities yet not overpriced as a result. This was it. The R et R from de Gaulle brought us to within less than a block of the front door. The collocated Metro stop was perfect for getting back and forth from the conference. Fine dining and local markets with everything in between made each meal a joy to look forward to in this culinary capital. On arrival I leaned out the window for that fabulous view of Notre Dame and realized that over the next ten days I could just stroll over there any time I wanted. And we did, multiple times visiting Isle St Louis to dine and stroll and absorb the atmosphere of one of he world’s truly most beautiful cities. Returning to the apartment to rest, wash clothes or do research and work using the WI-FI network at the apartment was just like coming home each night. But it wasn’t until the day we checked out and chatted with Federico that we learned of his personal touch on every aspect of the apartment’s renovation to ensure the comfort of his guests in a pleasant environment. His choice of décor appliances and services are all aimed at making the visitor’s experience as relaxing and trouble free as possible so as to make the entire Paris visit most memorable for all the right reasons.

One of the best views in Paris from a modern, clean, and comfortable apartment! The location is exceptional with RER/Metro stop right across the street, shops and cafes near by, and minutes to the great sites of Paris. My two weeks in the city at Federico's apartment were glorious! The location is perfect . The very easy access to the bus and metro system (and even the batobus) made every place in Paris most accessible - but it is so central that most venues were walkable. The apartment is as beautiful and comfortable as as the pictures and Federico and Iwona are great hosts. The initial orientation to the apartment was thorough and everything was spotlessly clean and in perfect order. The description of this property is so accurate - it has a magnificent view. You know that you are in Paris every time you look out of those fabulous windows and become a part of the hustle and bustle below from the comfort of the cozy oasis above. My sister and I stayed at this apartment during our trip to Paris in October and we couldn't be happier with our stay! The apartment itself was clean and had everything we needed, and the location was great. Federico and Iwona were so helpful and friendly--in fact, when Iwona met us to let us in, she explained how everything worked (including how to open the door, which was pretty tricky for us!) and then showed us to Carrefour supermarket so we could stop in and get some essentials. I will definitely stay at one of their rentals (they have another that fits more people) the next time I am in Paris!

If like me , you come to paris more for the food and wine than than the museums( they are all close too) then this is a fine place to stay.. Within walking distance of any number of fine restaurants including 1 star Fogon ( 5 minutes) and Ze Kitchen Gallerie a few minutes more, then you'll find Federicco''s place most convenient. My wife fell in love with it for its river view and it is very nice to be able to spend the day walking and then being able to pop up to the apartment just across from Notre Dame... Although this is a busy district( half the fun) the aprtment is suprisingly quiet when the windows are closed...Very comfortable sofa bed, good little kitchen which is fun to use after visiting the open markets and CNN etc on the top notch flat screen.. WIFI hook up as well and free international calls to many countries as well.. Federicco and Iwona are VERY nice people who will check you into their spotless apartment and help you in every way... We will be back.

Wow, wow, wow. My husband and I had the most dreamy, wonderful Paris vacation – and I will say that at least 75% of that is due to our most beautiful VRBO flat!The owners, Federico and Iwona, are such great people! Iwona was the one who met us, gave us our keys, and welcomed us to our beautiful flat. She was very pleasant! Sadly, our schedules prevented us from meeting Federico in person, so I was very glad we got to chat on the phone the day before we left Paris because he really was very nice.One thing I loved about renting this flat was that the initial process went very smoothly. Federico is very thorough and very prompt in responding to emails. He even set up a very detailed website with pictures, neighborhood, and even a brief history of Matisse and Marquet (who lived in the next building) – including sample pictures of their paintings. He also put together an information booklet explaining how to use the appliances, and listing the markets (grocery) close to us, as well as sites of interests.But now to the flat. Gosh, I could go on and on! The place was very clean! The appliances, décor, and bathroom were all very new. The pullout bed and pillows were oh-so-comfortable! The kitchen was well-stocked. They even welcomed us with a bottle of red wine! They also stocked the fridge with a starter bottle or two of water – which we were so grateful for after our long trip in. The bathroom was also well-stocked, and included a great hair dryer. We even found a plug converter!Oh, and the views! In the mornings, my husband and I would start off the day with breakfast at the little round table while gazing out at the Seine River. Day and night, we liked to lean out the windows and watch the people and motorists going by below, or gaze up and down the river. We liked the busy bustle of the street, as well as the fact that we could shut out the noise once we closed the windows. The free Wi-fi and phone service just completed the perfect package, and we felt right at home since we brought our laptop and iPhone. It was just so nice to be able to come home to all this after a long day of sightseeing!Finally, this flat is VERY ideally situated. I loved how it was right in front of the Seine River, very close to Notre Dame, and set in the Latin Quarter. Federico and Iwona are absolutely correct in assessing that their property has the best view in Paris. My daughters and I loved opening the windows and looking out over the Seine to Notre Dame. I so appreciated both Federico and Iwona's patience in explaining to us how everything worked which really made for an ideal visit. They even met us when our arrival was later than anticipated and were very understanding about everything, really. My daughters loved them both as did I and we know that when we get to Paris next , we will hope that their apartment is available. We walked to mostly all of the places we visited, even the Eiffel Tower. This rental was absolutely perfect for us. We spent 11 days exploring Paris and one of our most positive experiences was the enjoyment of this apartment. It was easy to get to from the airport. Federico met us upon arrival and spent time with us explaining the apartment and giving us many useful tips. The view from our window was picture-postcard-perfect. Notre Dame is just down the street and we took in a concert there one evening. The entrance to the Metro is across the street as is a stop of one of the bus tour companies. The location and the building itself are very secure and safe. It was a pleasure to come home to every day. The panoramic view is spectacular and a perfect location to enjoy the play of light offered by the Paris night sky. We have wonderful memories of sitting by the window in the evening; drinking wine and watching the boats go by on the river Seine below us. We just spent a week in the flat and absolutely loved it. The view is spectacular, the location is fantastic, the building was very secure, and Federico and Iwona were wonderful to work with. The flat is not huge, but it is so well-appointed and organized that it feels quite large.
