This is the home of an accomplished artist and interior decorator.
The extensive collection of original art, as well as her attention to design details at every turn, makes this a very special and enjoyable home. The theme is beach. Tommy Bahama-ish but better, more natural beach.
From the dark hardwood floors and paintings of the islands in the entry to the giant clamshell sink in one of the bathrooms, this home is a pleasure to the senses.
All of this enhanced by the soothing sound of the crashing surf that comes in over the flower drenched balcony to the master bedroom's beautiful 4-poster canopy bed.
If all of that isn't enough to make your vacation memorable, you can take the beach cruisers or walk 5 mins. to the beach just down the hill. Or you can take a short trip to Southern California's many attractions, including Disneyland just a 20 minute drive away.
It's close to everything, but tucked away by the beach enough so that you don't feel like you are just another tourist. If you still want to see more art, you can take a scenic 15 minute drive down the coast to Laguna Beach visit the many galleries there. This home is a 10 min. drive from South Coast Plaza and Fashion Island, with various shopping and restrants.
All in all, this is just a great location to have a perfect Southern California vacation.
