My family and I had been anticipating this long over due vacation since the very day I booked and confirmed it. Upon our arrival, May 29th, this beachfront beauty was everything and more than we had expected. Everything was immaculate, the beds were as comfortable as our very own beds back home, the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to prepare incredible meals, and the view of the gulf 24/7 was pure heaven! I have traveled a lot but have never experienced seeing sunsets like the ones we anxiously awaited every evening on the deck or while out on St. Joe Beach! The sunsets looked like God came down and painted them for us, special! Unbelievably colorful! We even got to see a rainbow after an afternoon's shower! I've been to beaches all around the general area - Panama City (action packed), Mexico Beach (lots of family's), Cape San Blas (horse back riding on the beach), Indian Pass (best oysters in Florida!), St. George Island (way to crowded!) but never had I been to St. Joe Beach - HANDS DOWN, St. Joe Beach is my new #1 favorite beach in all of the world! We did drive over to Indian Pass to eat at the infamous Indian Pass Raw Oyster Bar. It was a quick drive over! Steamed, baked and raw oysters on the half shell to die for dee-lish but we couldn't wait to get back "home" to enjoy another evening on St. Joe Beach! When we weren't playing in the ocean or soaking up some sun or eating some "to die for" oysters, we enjoyed the small town of Port St. Joe. The museum and historical cemetary was amazing and told the incredible story of Port St. Joe. Early in the morning, we made tracks up to Crooked Island Beach, right up Hwy. 98 for some great shelling! St. Joe Beach was amazingly clean - white sand, beautiful dunes and our walk from the condo to the ocean was a just STEPS away from us! THAT was amazing! When we met Diane Suchan, owner of this beachfront property ... well, she made us feel as if we were indeed coming home. Diane received us with such great warmth and kindness - she was very accomodating and great fun to be around. Needless to say, we left Port St. Joe leaving behind a new friend, as well as our new summer home! We won't be waiting until next year to come back - we're coming back in July (next month!!!).
