We just love the perfect location of this property. Only minutes away from town with all the amenities and fantastic restaurants, as well as minutes from Bass Lake water sports and some of the best hiking in, what we consider the most beautiful national park in the US. The wonderful neighbors and friendly people in general plus ABSOLUTE quiet in the middle of beautiful nature views, allows us to completely relax - or stay busy for weeks.
The Unique Benefits at this House
This vacation house is our largest and our master piece. This gem offers everything for couples, friends, families with children, or entire family reunions that need a comfortable, yet luxurious place to get away. A fully equipped kitchen, allowing for Thanksgiving, or Christmas meals with the whole family. Gas and charcol BBQ on a beautiful, iron wood deck with views of nature, and city lights and stars that seem like diamonds in a black velet sky on most nights. All materials used are top quality, luxury items, from the hardwood floors, italian travertine bathrooms to the jacuzzi bathtubs. The game room, video games and usually the kid's downstairs-getaway is sure to be enjoyed by the entire family.

Hello,
we are a family from southern California (and Germany) and we exclusively stay in vacation rentals on our travels. We like the personal touch each owner gives to their place and usually enjoy a much cleaner environment than most hotels can offer. We also love getting up and make our own breakfast, without having to get ready for the day first, allowing for each family member to finally sleep at their own pace on vacation. Having the choice to go out for any meal and entertainment, or simply staying "home" adds to the freedom, enjoyment and especially important these days, savings. We take pride that all of our own vacation rentals are equipped with everything necessary to enjoy a comfortable stay and things we usually miss in other vacation rentals. These include simple things like coffee, tea, paper towls, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, towls, linens...

Simply amazing! Our family of 8 had a fantastic vacation staying in Heaven's Gate. The house is phenomenal. Returning to Heaven's Gate after seeing the wondrous sights of Yosemite, Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks was the perfect end to a superb day. Easy access to town as well as all of the beautiful sights, but out away from the bustle of traffic. The kids loved the game room and hiking on the property. The amenities in the house are superb. The owner made everything from the registration to check in easy. The name fits the house, as well as the area. We cannot wait to return to Heaven's Gate, and most definitely will very soon!

We are a family of 2 adults and 4 children (between ages 9 and 2 years). We stayed here in early spring and were delighted with this property. We would gladly stay here again. The house is modern and clean (the photos do not do it justice). The house is about 10 minutes drive from town. It is extremely spacious both inside and outside, with so many indoor and outdoor activities for all the kids ages that we never got them all done (including air hockey, table tennis, videos, board games, books, etc.). The kitchen was well stocked, clean and had everything and the showers had amazing water pressure! There is a fantastic atmosphere around the beautiful stone wood fireplace in the lounge. However our favourite spot was the wrap around deck for warm sunny breakfasts and watching the sunset and lights of town at night. The only problem was that we wanted to extend our stay and it was already booked out!

Perfect. We loved the house. It's beautifully remodelled and indeed luxurious but at the same time very comfortable. The views are beautiful and it is unbelievably quiet and peaceful. We watched deer wandering and lounging on the lawn, took a "must do" walk around the perimeter and through the property. Much bigger than I thought. It felt like I was alone in the world. Spotted wild turkeys and found the brook and beautiul rock outcroppings. Didn't want to leave. We will be back. Thank you for sharing your home.

December 25 2009 Christmas Day – December 29 2009 Dear Sunday, To make the long story short: “We had fun!” Your house is beautiful and to see over 10 deer in your front yard was pretty amazing! We went snow boarding over at Valley West (Badger Pass Ski Resort) and it was our very first snow boarding experience! Aside from some very achy bodies, it was tons of fun. My little sister, who is by the way 24 years old, walked in the snow for the very first time and made her very first snowman! Great times. We watched two of the movies here: “Little Children” and “Love Comes Softly” Thanks for those. We had two rainy nights, which still didn’t hold us back from hanging out at the deck. Thanksgiving – November 24 – 28 2009 This is our last night at Haven’s Gate. It was cold and raining today and we had a fire going, almost all afternoon and evening. It has been such a great place to relax and enjoy God’s beauty! The house is so nice; plentiful room, all the comfort of home and more! Such a beautiful setting to look over the deck at the town at night, watch all the deer grazing in the front and evening! We’ve loved it!
