Capella opened January 2009. Horst Schultze, former president of the Ritz Carlton Hotel Company, is part of the team that created the vision for Capella. The landscaping is a desert theme with flowering cactus and native plants throughout the site. A waterfall tumbles down great granite rocks winding its way among the buildings and walkways. The high cliffs of Pedregal Mountain form the backdrop and make for stunning views. The buildings are neatly set into the mountain cliffs and coordinated with the natural colors and shapes of the environment. The interior decorating features one of a kind and craftsman touches that are among the best found in Cabo.
