We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be able to return sometime. It was great. The description of the property is accurate. The charming, warm, well maintained house has everything needed for a pleasant, relaxing stay and is located in an area that makes getting out and doing things easy. We walked to the zoo. Parking our rental car on the street in front of the house was not a problem. I felt at home in this house. There was nothing that I wanted that wasn't provided. The owner was very helpful but not intrusive. I would definitely recommend this property to others.

Great house and a great stay in Wallingford. The house is a very cozy period home with tons of charm. Our 3 year old daughter kept pulling old board games out the games from the closet. The beds were all comfortable and the furnace kept us southern Californians warm in the northwest winter. The owner was a pleasure the deal with.

I rented this house with five other midwife students and we made it our home. It was so amazing for us that we rented it for an entire week, three months in a row. We spent most of our time in the kitchen where everything we needed was provided. There was enough space for us to spread out and study without disturbing one another. It was also close enough to restaurants and shopping that we just parked the car and walked. Bridget was so helpful and came by on different occasions to make sure we were settled and had what we needed. Thanks so much for the flexibility and comfort!

We stayed at the Seattle bungalow for a week stay in Seattle and were incredibly pleased! It was clean, the beds comfortable with great pillows and linens, kitchen well equipped, laundry on site, convenient location to grocery shopping and tourist sites. The back patio was great to entertain and have a cookout. When returning from festivities, we felt like we were returning home. We had an incredibly pleasant stay and will definitely stay there again our next trip to Seattle.

My parents,my husband and I had a great week in Seattle at Bridget's bungalow. Perfect location for walking to restaurants, the grocery store and shops. The bungalow itself had all that we needed and is a good size for two couples. The patio was put to good use as well. I definitely recommend this rental.

This is our second time to stay at the bungalow. Each time was great. It is in a wonderful neighborhood with a great park with children's playground and lots of restaurants and shops, all within easy walking distance. This time was for our daughter's wedding and we had an open house the day after, with 50 people using the back patio. It couldn't have been better. When my husband and I and our other daughter, son-in-law and grandson arrived this second time, we all felt like we were coming home -- we had so enjoyed our previous week there. Bridget is immediately responsive for anything that comes up - either before arriving or while there.

Our group stayed in mid-June and we had a great stay at the house. The description of the house was very accurate and the photos on the website depicted the house accurately also. The house was very clean when we arrived and there were many extra linens provided. We were traveling with kids, so the washer and dryer were essential. The owner let us know she would be in the area if we needed anything. The parks around the house were great, especially Meridian Park, and Kidd Valley was a great burger place that was within walking distance. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives.

Mini family reunion trip to Seattle, and the Wallingford Bungalow was literally our "home away from home" for the long weekend. Great location, easy parking and lots to do without getting in the car: Guild 45th movie theater, market, restaurants and multiple opportunities for coffee and potent potables in easy walking distance. It's a very comfortable place - and the owner has pretty much thought of everything, right down to the QFC frequent shopper card to take advantage of the sale prices at the local market. Nice touch! Everything is on one floor, so it's a nice option for folks that don't want to deal with a lot of stairs. The house also allows for easy touring of Fremont, Ballard, Green Lake, Phinney Ridge - neighborhoods that may not be on Seattle visitors' radar screens. Just wish the weather had been a little better to take advantage of the serene back patio. Maybe next time!

Even with the positive reviews, it was so much better than I expected. I'm not able to add much more positive input to what other reviewers have noted -- it's all the right things for a place to stay while in Seattle for a week or so. A quiet neighborhood with all the necessities (restaurants, grocery, gelato, parks, hardware store, drug store) within easy walking distance. A short drive to downtown and UW, the university shopping district (a half hour if you're a walker), or to Trader Joe's. Bridget could not have been more considerate or helpful before and during our stay at The Bungalow. Best of all, everything about it really feels like home. BONUS -- On clear nights, we slept in the moonlight in the master bedroom. We are anxious to return in June.

This is a beautiful and comfortable house in a great location. The owner was very accessible for questions and attentive to our needs. A real plus if the Wallingford neighborhood center just a short walk away with variety of shops and restaurants. Close to UW campus and short drive to downtown Seattle. We'll be back!

The house is located a short walk from the center of Wallingford, which has great restaurants, a full grocery store, coffee houses, a hot chocolate place, bakeries - a wonderful neighborhood center. The house is also close to Green Lake, a very pleasant place for a walk or run, and if you walk around the lake (~3 miles) you will pass many other amenities. Finally, the house is also close to several bus lines for convenient access to downtown or the University of Washington. The house itself is pleasant. It feels lived in. The owner's furniture and many books contribute to a feeling of being guests at a friend's place. The owner provides a brochure with useful information including local restaurant suggestions which we found to be spot on. We only used the rear bedroom, which has excellent light and a comfortable bed. The front bedroom is darker (an older part of the house). The kitchen/dining area worked well for the small dinner party we had. We used the grill on the back porch but otherwise didn't use the outdoor space very much because it was pretty cold. However, the back is quite nice and in warmer weather we would have used it quite a bit.

My fiance and I thoroughly enjoyed our time in Seattle and it was made that much more pleasant by our stay in this bungalow. The home was situated in a nice and quiet suburban area conveniently located approximately 15 minutes from downtown seattle. During our one week stay we did a lot of sight seeing and spent a good amount of time outdoors but we always looked forward to returning to this home for some nice and quiet relaxation time. The home was more than spacious enough for the both of us and was equipped with all the appropriate amenities and comforts from home. The owner of this home, namely Bridget, went out of her way to address all our questions and concerns prior to our arrival. She facilitated the entire rental process and was a true pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend staying in this location and will definitely do so myself the next time I'm in Seattle. Thank you for everything Bridget!!
Owner response:Thanks Sam, so glad you enjoyed your stay. I'd like to clarify that while the safety of the neighborhood and home, ease of parking, and easy access may make it feel like a "suburban" location, it is actually just a very comfortable, fun, vibrant "urban" neighborhood within the city of Seattle about 6 miles from the downtown core.

Our family stayed at the Wallingford Bungalow to our attend the wedding of one of our sons. We all loved it! It had plenty of room for the six of us, lots of charm & character & was convenient to many things. We even hosted a small rehearsal dinner there for 12 the night before the wedding! It was truly an enjoyable experience.

Myself and 3 family members stayed in Bridget's Bungalow recently. We were in town to attend a couple of Mariner games at Safeco Field. We all rode the train up from Oregon and the houses convenient location close to public transport made it easy to reach downtown. Bridget was a pleasure to work with and made a special trip by to attend to our needs. The house is fantastic and we very much enjoyed the quiet location just blocks from many good restaurants, grocery store and every thing else you could possibly need. After a busy day in the city, the back yard is a wonderful place to sit and relax, we even had a visit from the very friendly resident raccoon. I cannot say enough nice things about this great rental and we hope to make our trip to Bridget's an annual tradition. Thanks again Bridget. Brian

When in Seattle my wife and I usually stay on our boat on Lake Union but we had too much company last weekend so we rented Bridget's home. As a longtime user of VRBOs this was my best experience (and they've all been good). Excellent location, so close to Green Lake, the 45th street shops, Lake Union, the Zoo. A quiet neighborhood just a couple blocks off main thoroughfares and the house, wow. Thank you again for the hospitality and for the beautiful restoration to that home.

While visiting Seattle for my son's wedding, six of us including my 4-month old grand daughter stayed at Wallingford Cottage. The home is charming and very comfortable with a kitchen table that easily accommodated our large group. Many good memories were made around that table as we gathered for breakfast, played cards and had dinner with new relatives. We especially appreciated the washer and dryer and the crib for the baby. Parks with play areas and Wallingford village with a grocery store, restaurants and specialty shops are within easy walking distance. I took the baby for a walk one morning and explored neighboring streets. I marveled at the colorful gardens of the homes. The owner was very attentive to our needs and pleasure to work with as we finalized our plans. Without question I would highly recommend Wallingford Cottage as your home away from home during your Seattle stay.

What a wonderful place to stay! The bungalow was nicely turned out with all the amenities of home. It was clean, fully equipped and conveniently located! The main area of the community was well within walking distance and the neighborhood was quiet and quaint with nearby parks, lakes, restaurants and shopping. The bungalow was a perfect meeting place for what was a very special family reunion—my brothers and I had not seen our father in 40 years and we were all very comfortable in the ‘homey’ atmosphere the bungalow provided. The rental process was very easy and the owner was wonderful to work with. I highly recommend this great little place!!

The neighborhood is wonderful with many restaurants, shops, grocery, etc. within easy walking distance. We especially loved the beautiful backyard and enjoyed having friends over to sit outside and have appetizers before walking to a nearby restaurant for dinner.
