This incredible log cabin is located just minutes from Boone and Historic Valle Crucis. Great room with massive stone fireplace and comfy sitting area around flat screen TV. Large dining table as well as additional seating at bar in kitchen. French doors open up to the impressive Master Suite upstairs with King bed and a private bath. The main level has an additional master suite with queen bed and another bedroom with two double beds. A bonus area downstairs offers more space to unwind while watching TV, reading, playing foosball, or Xbox games.
Should you choose to venture outside there is a large covered porch with pretty mountain views and scenery. You are only a couple minutes to Valle Crucis or Boone and only a short drive to Blowing Rock, Banner Elk and Grandfather Mountain. Sugar Mountain is about 15-20 minutes away and Beech Mountain is about 30 minutes away.
Central to shopping, fishing, skiing, golf, exploring, gem mining, family billiards, fine dining and the list goes on and on. This cabin is an ideal choice for your next visit to the NC Mountains.

This trip to the mountains with my daughter and two granddaughters was one of the best trips I've ever taken. We primarily went to visit a couple of ski resorts and we hoped for snow to fall while there, and boy, did we ever get what we wished for. The cabin accommodations were perfect for our family of 4 and everyone had a nice bed and bath. It was away from the hussle and bussle of the town, but yet close enough to run into Boone for shopping. We absolutely had a blast at Hawksnest Tubing Resort all the while snow was falling like crazy. We spent time at the Applachain Ski Resort, skiing and skating. Rodney could not have been more accommodating before, during and after our visit. He was nice enough to ask his housekeeper to mail back my granddaughter's stuffed animal that she sleeps with each night. Oh, did I mention how nice and clean the cabin was upon arrival, plus the kitchen is very well stocked. Everyone is already talking about "can we go back next year".Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

As stated in other reviews this cabin is close to everything including Blowing Rock, Boone and Banner Elk. Cabin was spacious, had very comfortable beds, and was spacious enough for our party of 4 adults and 3 kids. Deck was wonderful, open floor plan living room, kitchen and dining area was great for our size party. Rodney was great to work with and returned our security deposit quickly as promised. Would definitely stay here again in the future.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

The cabin was wonderful and everything we had hoped for. It was clean and spacious and met all our family's needs. Great location! Rodney was very helpful and always responded in a timely fashion to our emails. Rodney, thanks for a wonderful stay. Bed was real comfy. We loved the swing on the deck, the breeze was wonderful. You have a nice place, real close to everything! What a great cabin!! Wonderful way to get away and relax without being too far out. Getting to Blowing Rock, Boone and Banner Elk was so easy. Favorite part of trip was relaxing on the front porch in the morning with cup of coffee and listening to the birds. Such comfortable place to stay that is spacious, well equipped and extremely comfortable beds!! Rodney was so quick to respond to emails and was very friendly and easy to work with. This was the prefect place to stay. The cabin was neat and clean. The kitchen was furnished with everything you would need. Sitting out on the porch in the morning with coffee and enjoying watching the sun makes it way around the mountain was great. The boys had a great time down in the game room and the girls enjoyed the loft room. The location is within minutes of many attractions such as Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock and Tweetsie RR. Rodney was great to work with and stayed in contact with us during our visit and after. The property was easy to locate and easy to access. It was very roomy. We were able to have our own space. The children had their own beds and had a good night's rest. The pictures were very accurate to describe the the rental property. It was clean, very up to date, had good kitchen space and plenty of kitchen supplies. We were in town for a family reunion and spent much of our time with family, but it was nice to come back to this place to enjoy our own time together. One of my favorite places in the area is the Mast General Store in Valle Crucis and we were only a few miles from there. As we became familiar with the area, we found some different ways to get around and one went directly by the Mast Store. We had a really nice stay at this rental property. It was everything that had been described and even better. We were in contact with the owner before and after our stay and we were well pleased with his desire to please us. We would definitely recommend this property to others and will most likely rent it again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.

We are a family of four, with two young children. We arrived the day after Christmas and stayed through New Years. This cabin is so tastefully decorated and you can tell that every single detail has been looked at and taken care of. It is very spacious and lots of fun for the kids with the fun room down stairs. The cleanliness throughout was remarkable and spotless. We would definitely consider staying here again. Also, the owner is very professional and a pleasure to work with.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children.

About the owner: I grew up just outside of Wilmington, NC and I have lived in Charlotte, Raleigh, and Boone, where I attended Appalachian State. I fell in love with the area when I was there and kept visiting as much as possible. Finally, I decided to buy my own cabin since I always renting one. After about two years of renovations, I finally was able to get it up for rent. I now live in Texas and I try to get back there as much as I can.
Why the Owner Chose Valle Crucis:
When I arrive at this cabin, I can just feel the stress of everyday life go away. And like many of the guests that have stayed here, I never want to leave.
