This cabin is the best one we've ever rented! It was well decorated, well furnished, well-equipped with linens, dishes and paper products, and very comfortable!! The owner is very friendly and helpful!

We just returned from spending the weekend at this cabin and absolutely loved it. The cabin has a very authentic, rustic charm, yet has been updated nicely and has all the latest amenities. The location is good, too - right between Boone and Valle Crucis. We also really appreciated the owner's warm hospitality - seen both at the cabin and in email exchanges. We will definitely return next year!

We spent this past weekend at this beautiful cabin. The location makes it so easy to enjoy many activities and sights in the area. Everything you could possibly need was in this cabin.From a well equipped kitchen, to comfortable bedding, nice clean linens and an X-Box for the kids. This cabin is well maintained by its owner. From my initial contact to inquire about booking, a question while there about the T.V., and perhaps an item left behind, the owners response has been incredibility quick. Easy access to unload your belongings is just an added bonus. I highly recommend this cabin for your trip to the mountains!

Myself and 7 other ladies stayed in the cabin and found everything to be fantastic. The cabin was spotless. The linens were very nice and the front porch is great. We enjoyed the big kitchen and the eating area, we do LOTS of eating when we get together! We will definitely be staying again!

My family and I stayed in this fantastic cabin a long weekend in July; needless, to say it was wonderful. The whole cabin was "neat as a pen". The beds were very comfortable and you could tell that the linens were clean. The bathrooms were sparkling clean. After a day of hiking it was nice to come to this cabin, "it felt like home". A wonderful deck to view the mountains while sipping your coffee. The kitchen even had little details like, baggies, paper towel and extra garbage liners. We will be staying here again. Rodney is wonderful to work with, the contract is plane and simple.

Perfect Getaway!

Let me start by saying I never write reviews. However, since I put about a zillion hours worth of research into finding the "perfect" cabin for my family, I figured I would let others benefit from my work :) Search no more, THIS is the one. Very clean, quaint, spacious, beautifully decorated, with oh so comfy beds (even the sheets were soft!), and surrounded by nature, but within a 5 minute drive to all the shopping, eating, and sightseeing. The towns of Boone and Blowing Rock are just a short ten minute drive. Grandfather Mountain, Rafting, Caves, Tweetsie RR, gem-mining, it's all right there! Not sure if this has been mentioned by other reviewers, but we particularly loved the sounds of the babbling brook outside our window and the pitter patter of rain on the tin roof. We also indulged in some sticky buns and coffee from Stick Boy Bakery out on the porch rocking chairs. Yumm! The pictures don't do this place justice! We absolutely recommend this cabin, and the owners are wonderful to work with. We will certainly return in the fall!

Our son was being married at the Apple Barn in Valle Crucis so the proximity of this "cabin" was very appealing. This place was just perfect for family members to stay and enjoy each other's company. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us, each with private bedroom and bath. It is decorated by the owners with high end, lovely furniture and not your run of the mill rental furniture. Everyone remarked that the beds were so comfortable! WiFi was a bonus and we loved the rocking chairs on the back deck. Beautiful setting, relaxing and peaceful. This place gets high marks and is highly recommended!

Every year my girlfriends and I plan our annual Memorial Day Girl's Weekend. Over the years we have rented a lot of cabins in the mountains, but I can say that this cabin was by far the best retreat yet. From a great location with mountain views, to a large inviting porch that beckons to be rested on, to the sounds of a running stream to lull you to sleep at night... this cabin truly had it all. There was plenty of sleeping room, spacious bathrooms with beautiful tile and lots of other amenities. If you can pry yourself away for the day, it is convenient to Valle Crucis, Boone and Blowing Rock. We have already planned to come back on our next trip to the mountains. If you are looking for a great get-a-way cabin... look no further. You won't be disappointed!

We had a wonderful experience! The cabin was fantastic for our family. Everything about it is top-notch-you will be very comfortable here and you might not even want to leave! Great selection of pots, pans, cooking utensils, etc. and all very clean! We enjoyed a few days of skiing nearby and at nighttime, everyone enjoyed playing games together in the game room. The owner was extremely helpful and flexible throughout the entire process!

I always do considerable research before booking any cabin, vacation, etc., and this place lived up to all the hype by previous guests. It looks exactly like the pictures, with quality furnishings, and as one previous person said, the owner has thought of everything possible to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. One night we had a slight problem with the fireplace, but the owner was so understanding and helpful -- he even called us on Thanksgiving day to make sure it was working properly. He is quick to respond to e-mails and is very professional. We will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful cabin in a great location. Easy access to Valle Crucis, Boone, and Blowing Rock. Kids loved the game room with Xbox. Very roomy and everything we needed. We enjoyed the friendly kitties that greeted us when we arrived. Would recommend this cabin to families with older children as there are 3 levels with stairs. We definitely will stay here again.

My family enjoyed this cabin for every reason possible. It is secluded with scenery and very close to anywhere you want to go. It is incredibly clean and the owner has thought of everything to make it comfortable. It is better than the listing. The owner is easy to work with and easy to contact if you need him. I looked through so many listings. Save yourself some time and book this cabin. I read through the other reviews and found them to be very accurate.

This cabin really deserves all the five-star ratings it has. We stayed here for a week and absolutely loved it! Comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, good showers, excellent kitchen with everything you'll need down to the details! The kids loved the game room. The location is great...we spent time in Boone, Blowing Rock, Valle Crucis, and Banner Elk...and never drove more than 20 minutes! And the owner stayed in touch and made sure we had everything we needed. Thanks! We'll be back!

Not usually ones for writing reviews but felt this cabin and owner deserved it. We picked this cabin a) for affordability, b) for having all 5 star reviews, c) for the prompt replies of the owner and d) for the tempting photos. We were not disappointed. It was every bit as inviting (and more) as the photos suggested. Extremely comfortable, clean and had that 'wow' factor. As tea loving Scots, it was great to find a well stocked kitchen with decent sized mugs for a good 'cuppa' at the end of the day. Great location; quiet, yet within easy reach of everything. Our party of 4 adults and 3 children all agreed it was one of, if not the best cabin we have ever stayed in. Look forward to returning one day.

This cabin is nice beyond normal standards of measurement. It is most comfortable, has quality bedding, fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, and a wonderful view from the porch. One very special point of importance is that you don't need to climb halfway up a mountain to unload your personal belongings from your vehicle. The entrance is level and flat, making the unloading process an easy activity. The owner of this location has thought of everything that one needs to know about the use of the cabin and all of its facilities. For view, ease of entry, location, etc., this is one of the best deals in the southern mountains. I think it is the nicest place we've stayed at in the last 30 + years of visiting the NW North Carolina mountains.'' The photos provided from the owner certainly illustrate the beauty of the cabin. The previous evaluations were accurate and revealing as to the quality of this location. We already have plans of trying to return to this location at other times during the coming year (s) and heartily recommend the cabin to readers and our friends as well!

My family and I have stayed here twice over the past year and the cabin is wonderful. Very comfortable and well-appointed with a fantastic location. Everything is within a 20-30 minute drive. Kid-friendly as well with a basement gameroom. Also, there is a neat little par-3 golf course about 1/2 mile away for those that like to play, but may not have time for the typical 4.5 hour round. Also, the owner is very accommodating and responsive to any and all needs that may arise.

This cabin is great! The kitchen had everything you could imagine to cook a wonderful meal. The cabin itself was so inviting. We had plenty of room for all of us and enjoyed all the snow that arrived. We will be back for the warm weather and again for the snow. Can not wait to return!

Your cabin was the perfect place to spend a wonderful weekend relaxing with the kids. The linens were soft and the furniture was very comfortable. The King bed in the loft was EXCELLENT! We slept like we were at home. The cabin is located in a great area close by everything from skiing and tubing to other attractions. The game room was perfect for kids as well as the deck with a beautiful view of the mountains. The cabin is beautiful and very affordable for the space. We go every year and this is ranked the highest! Thanks for sharing it with us!

We totally enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The best one we've rented so far! The cabin couldn't have been better. Big great room, lots of seating in kitchen and at bar. Very clean. Really beautifully decorated. (modern but with a cabin feel) Comfortable beds and high quality bed linens. Fluffy white towels in every bathroom. Fully equipped kitchen. Perfect location. Close to town of Boone with a small mall and close to grocery/drug stores. Our family really enjoyed Hawks Nest Snow Tubing which is only 10 minutes away. We are already planning our next stay here. The owner is really easy to work with. Great vacation with lots of great memories!

My whole family was very happy with our stay. Everyone thought the cabin was beautiful and we had no problems with our stay. We enjoyed the basement area and the overall setup of the cabin. We had a wonderful stay at your cabin. The location was fantastic being close to the college and ski resorts. We enjoyed the view of the Christmas trees from the porch. The cabin was comfortable for our family giving everyone plenty of space. We would definitely stay there again.
