  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Maui at this penthouse condo unit. From check-in to check-out, everything operated smoothly and efficiently. Cindy was so easy to work with and she ensured all questions/enquiries were answered promptly. This unit was perfect for our family of 7 and we were comfortable and had all we needed for a wonderful vacation. The stock of supplies such as towels, sheets, and water 'goodies' was beyond anything we've seen before. Cindy had told us there was plenty to choose from there and she was absolutely right. The kitchen was very well equipped and all electronics and kitchen equipment were operational. We really couldn't have asked for more! We will be back! Thank you for making our too-short vacation so enjoyable, pleasant and for exceeding all expectations! Your place was simply fantastic.

  The unit exceeded the description. Two story unit on 8th floor with manificent and unobstructed views of ocean, Molokai and Lanai. Our family of 5 (3 adult boys and my wife and I) felt at home right away. At night we were able to fall asleep with the windows open and hear the surf as if we were on the first floor. Very spacious and comfortable and all the modern electronics which our family appreciated. We utilized the kitchen and the BBQ's for most of our 8 nights. The beach is great for boogie boarding. The snorkeling at this beach is ok, but a 5 minute drive to Kapalua and Honolua where it was spectacular. Washer/Dryer worked great. General Store directly across the street for any last minute needs. Owner (Cindy) called us upon arrival to make sure everything was ok. We've been to Maui and Kauai many times and would definitely return.

  We recently took our two kids and their spouses to Maui for our 40th wedding anniversary and stayed in this fabulous condo. What a delight. Amazing, fantastic, awesome, sensational, and marvelous are just the beginning of words to describe this condo. With three bedrooms and three bathrooms, everybody had their private rooms and they were beyond spacious to say the least. There is plenty of room in this condo. All of the bedrooms have beautiful views of the ocean, the mountains or both. The owners have this unit stocked with everything you'll need to make you feel right at home during your stay. Plenty of towels & linens, a big bottle of shampoo, and even coffee for the Keurig coffee maker. The condo is also stocked with everything you need down at the beach and plenty of board games as well. The huge kitchen has every appliance you can imagine. The lanais (there are three of them) offer spectacular views. We saw whales and sea turtles almost every day from the lanais. There is a nice pool area with a restaurant and the beach is perfect for swimming, sun bathing, or just taking a stroll along the ocean. The staff in the resort was very friendly and the grounds are very clean and maintained very well. There are an abundance of gas grills for guests to use and they are meticulously cleaned every morning. There is a sand volleyball court, tennis courts, putting green, and a nice pond to sit by if you so desire. The resort is in a very nice neighborhood of Maui and there is a huge amount of dining opportunities within a few minutes of the condo and a great pizza place right across the street called Dollies Café & Pub, which was voted best pizza on Maui. The owners are just wonderful to deal with and answer all questions you have promptly. They really go out of their way to make sure your time in their condo will be without problems. Cindy called the unit the first day we were there to make sure everything was OK and if there were any problems to call her immediately. She gave us a tip about the sea turtles coming to an outcrop of rocks close to the condo around 4pm and sure enough, we went over there and the sea turtles were there. We also saw them swimming along the shoreline right in front of the condo almost every day. This place is one of those rare finds that you are glad you found out about. We can’t wait to go back. Thank you Bill and Cindy for providing such a wonderful place for people to enjoy Hawaii. ¬¬¬

  Our families want to thank you so much for sharing your place on Maui with us! Each of us was so pleased with the layout and comfort of your home away from home. The weather was perfect and the whale and turtle-watching was thrilling- right from the condo lanai! Also, we LOVED the nice bath towels at your condo and would like to try to find them somewhere for our home. Thank you again!

  You don't have to worry about renting this condo. The pictures and the amenities are 100% accurate. Just simply an awesome and thoroughly enjoyable accomodation. The condo was immaculate and it had all of the comforts of home. I won't go into detail about all of the amenities, I'll just say that Christine and Roger's review of June 2012 accurately describes the amenities that are available. The views were spectacular and you can walk right out to the beach. They have a rental kiosk in the pool area and we rented a kayak and paddle boards and just had a blast trying these activities right outside our door. The location is very convenient, close to a super market, restaurants, shops, and Lahaina. An added plus was the gas barbeque grills available on the property. They are scrubbed clean every night and were in pristine condition for outdoor cooking. Our only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer. Thank You so much Cindy and Bill. We can't wait until we can rent your condo again! Mahalo nui loa!

• BEST CONDO IN MAUI!

  We recently took a family trip to Maui and stayed at this beautiful condo! After a long day of travel and supply shopping we made our way to the Sands of Kahana and were welcomed by a warm and helpful staff at the front desk. After check in we proceeded to head to our assigned parking garage, which always had a spot for us to park inside, and make our way up to the 8th floor of this very clean, very nice complex. To say that our mouths dropped upon entering Cindy and Bill's condo is an understatement! This was without a doubt the cleanest, most beautiful place we have ever stayed. They have it decorated so well and it is stocked with everything you can imagine needing. The view from the main lanai is outstanding and we saw sea turtles every day from up there. The upstairs bedroom has a brand new indoor kitchen, which my husband and I loved, a huge closet full of books, a computer, printer, flat screen tv and is huge! The other two bedrooms are just as nice with many of the same amenities. The entire house is so open and airy with skylights everywhere, not to mention the added bonus of air conditioning which most of the units do not have. The closet is stocked with beach toys and extra towels! There is every appliance you can imagine in the big, open kitchen. We didn't even eat out much since it was so easy to cook meals in the condo and there isn't a better view available. We were a party of 6 and everything was plenty comfortable for us, a big dining room table, lots of seating on the lanai and a huge couch and additional chairs in the family room. The pictures posted here are a true depiction of the beauty of this condo...it looked just like this when we arrived...not a thing out of place. The location is also great...a little off the beaten path but a quick drive to almost anywhere on the island. I must also mention that the owners, Cindy and Bill, are just fabulous to work with! I just can't say enough about this condo, I highly recommend staying there if you get the chance...we most certainly will! Mahalo Cindy and Bill and thank you to the staff at the Sands of Kahana!   This 2700 sq ft penthouse condo is as big as a house! We had 5 adults in our group (our grown children and ourselves), and everyone had their own private space and bathrooms, which is a bonus when everyone races for the showers at the same time. The owners have this unit stocked with everything you'll need to make it your home away from home during your stay. There are endless towels & linens, snorkel gear, a boogie board, FULLY stocked kitchen with huge pantry, a lanai off every bedroom (with spectacular views), a washer/dryer, dishwasher, all updated appliances, new modern furnishings, TV in every room, air conditioning, skylights, lots of parking, and much more. With the master bedroom upstairs and two bedrooms on the main level, it is perfectly suited to families on holidays. The locations of the bedrooms are unique so you don't hear noise from the elevator or walkways outside. The staff are friendly and helpful (concierge services at main desk), and the grounds that the four buildings rest on are impressively tidy and groomed. Great pool (with restaurant) and beach area below, along with barbeque areas for each building (a great place to meet other travelers). The beach is great for swimming and we saw whales and turtles daily from the front lanai. Located in Kahana, you drive only 10 minutes to Lahaina, 5 minutes to Kaanapali, and 3 minutes to Napili or Kapalua beaches. There are lots of restaurants and corner stores nearby. The owners are wonderful to deal with, and make themselves available to answer all questions promptly. They really make sure your holiday will be problem free. This condo is definitley a rare find, and our family will be returning to stay in the future. Definitely worth every penny if you're looking for that larger space where everyone has privacy and comfort.

  We stayed here 7/16/2010 thru 7/25/2010 and it was just great. The condo is exactly like the pictures shown. We had 5 adults in our group so there was more than enough room to spread out. The views were magnificent. We slept with the doors open to hear the ocean. A/C was great to have during the day but not necessary at night. No noise or bugs and being on the top floor is a bonus. Everything required for our stay was provided for. The condo has everything identified in the descriptions. We ate breakfast and half of our dinners in. We used one of the grills down by the pool and it was spotless every time. It is cleaned daily. The activities are endless and coming back to the condo at night was like coming home. There is nothing not to like about the island or the condo.

  We recently returned from a stay at the Sands of Kahana. In reading over the review "questions to consider" I must say that all of the questions would be answered with a resounding YES! The description and pictures were exactly what we saw when we got there. We watched the turtles in the ocean from our lanai. The property was very well maintain and the owner went above an beyond making sure we had the things we needed to make our stay perfect. I talked to the owner by phone and e-mail and found her to be delightful. All of the amenities were as described and then some. We enjoyed the "happy hour" at the restaurant, went to places close by, but were content to eat "in" as we felt very at home in the condo. A really nice feature was 2 coffee pots! We had six adults, a six year old and 2 one year olds. Of course we all wanted coffee in the AM and the last one up go it ready for the next day with the person up with the first kiddo getting it started. The lanai was very safe and the kiddos liked being out there with us all. There was all the towels and bedding that we needed and all in excellent condition. We also really appreciated a bathroom per family, which is what we had. What else can I say. We are planning our next trip and will hopefully be able to book this same spot. I guess to sum it all up we would have been content to stay right there in the condo and never leave!!! Everything we needed was right there. Couldn't have had a better time. Maholo.
