The rental was very easy to find & close to 5th ave, & the beach. We enjoyed our walks to both. The townhouse was exactly as described in the photos & we were very pleased with the highend decorating. It was very comfortable. The grounds were well looked after & the pool was refreshing. The onwer, Gillian, was friendly, warm, & provided us with all the info we needed. We will definitely rent here again & bring the children, including grand babies. We loved everything about the place. The neighbours were friendly & heplful as well.

We stayed with our whole family (7 people) at this lovely spot in Playacar and it was the perfect balance of quiet and things to do. The house is a great size, lots of amenities and located close to downtown Playa del Carmen. The best thing was how peaceful the house was (located right near a bird sanctuary) yet close enough to all the things we wanted to do. The owner was so helpful before our trip so we felt really good upon our arrival. In addition, the manager of the building is available once you arrive to help with anything you might need. Highly recommended! Can't beat it!

We truly enjoyed our stay in this home. The home had everything we needed from extra beach towels to a fully appointed kitchen. The washer/dryer was very handy also. The house is very comfortable and right away feels like home. We have 2 teenagers and they were very happy here. In the morning, we fed the wildlife in the backyard. It was very close to town and to the beach so we could walk to everything. It was easy for our family to do different activities because everything was so close. But yet, the house was on a very private street and was secluded to at night it was very quiet and peaceful. We will be back!

We spent 12 days at Villa Playamar and loved our holiday. The location is ideal and an easy walk to the town of Playa Del Carmen as well as to a lovely private beach. The Villa itself is very attractive and comfortable, well equipped and spotless. We are planning to return for future holidays and are not interested in any other accomodation other than Villa Playamar

The Villa was beautiful, comfortable and clean. Pride of ownership was evident in furnishings and decoration. A touch of Mexico with all the modern conveniences. The location is perfect, quiet and yet close to the beach, restaurants and shops. Will definitely be back to this lovely piece of paradise.

This was our first time into Mexico, but not the last. We would return to this location again and again. The beaches were amazing, the food was great and there are so many places we still need to see that was impossible to get to within the week we had there. It was safe, it was clean and the people were very friendly. Value for money, yes. We did not want the all inclusive, we wanted to experience a home away from home where we could do our own thing, shop local, cook when we wanted to and eat out when we wanted to, visit local swimming spots, not like all inclusives where there is a need to stake your claim by the pool early in the morning. The pool where we we stayed was perfect, safe for children and never too busy. We wanted the freedom to explore, which we did, and discovered areas away from the usual crowds and there are many. We highy recommend this location, a few minutes walk along a path to the main nightlife and shopping areas and yet quite enough to listen to the birds while you drank your morning coffee. Forget the all inclusive, been there done that! If you want a taste of a real vacation, coming and going when you want, eating what you want, no line ups, no surprises on the check out bill, then come visit this private home away from home. Swimming pool that is not crowded, the sound of birds in the morning, short walks to the town and beach areas. Take one of the bikes that are included for a ride into town or explore the whole area on foot. Vacationa are all about relaxing, with everything that this house has to offer you can do just that. This is a very safe area and we enjoyed walks from early morning to a few very late nights, we NEVER had any problems. We discovered some great eating places when we decided to eat out, but were able to savour the local food by shopping and cooking ourselves. If you are looking at this area of Mexico to visit consider this location if you want peace of mind, a great nights sleep at a very resonable price. From start to finish of our booking all was easy and freindly. Our stay in Playacar was wonderful. The Villa is perfectly situated beween the town and incredible beaches. The pool was a nice addition to quite afternoons or staying around the house. The Villa's decore is warm and friendly. We felt very comfortable. Palyacar is my favourite spot so far in Mexico! Delicious restaurants, wonderful markets, again incredible beaches and great location to easy travel to ruins, parks, Cozumel etc. Really wonderful! · By The A Team from North Vancouver, BC on 1/20/2011 for a stay in 2/1/2010
