This apartment was a big disappointment. We were shocked at the condition of the apartment. Very little resemblance to the pictures which must have been taken a long time ago or staged. The apartment needs a complete overhaul as does the building itself. The location is good and the king bed was comfortable. Upstairs beds, not so much. Water pressure was good however we did lose all hot water on Sunday. Called Winston (voice mail was full). Called Tonya, whoever she is, no answer. Called Cevita and left message. Did get a phone call from her later stating she had been out of the country. Communication with her throughout was sketchy. There are so many problems with this apartment that I could not begin to list them all. Needless to say I could not recommend this unit to anybody unless and until all deferred maintenance had been completed and the apartment refurbished. Price was good...guess you get what you pay for.

We three stayed here for a week, due to Hurricane Sandy. Pros: 1) Great location, next to Broadway and 5th - plenty of public transport. 2) Aisha was very responsive, and incredibly helpful as we got stranded during Hurricane Sandy. 3) Free WiFi available, and very good TV. 4) Super comfortable king bed. 5) 15' high ceiling in main space - makes it feel more spacious. 6) Ample hot water. 7) Third floor - excellent elevator, but not too high to walk up. Cons: 1) Decor and finishes are tired - do not expect fine furnishings like a hotel. This did not bother us. 2) Noise from other apartments can be challenging - bring ear plugs. 3) Dark - could use some better lighting. Overall, we really liked the apartment, and certainly felt grateful to have comfortable accommodation during the hurricane, and the chaos that ensued. The actual owner of the building, Fred, was around and we felt reassured that he was there to look out for all the tenants during the storm. That says a lot.

    - Good and reliable customer service. Aisha responded quickly and well organized, and Winston was helpful; - Suited for travelers looking for a comfy place to take showers and rest in between NYC day trips; - Bathroom functional and hot water runs well; - Quiet and safe neighborhood, day and night; - Elevator a plus for our luggage and toddlers; - Central location. walked uptown and downtown; - Price is fair, properly suited to the quality of the apartment. Would need refreshing though to justify higher prices. Thanks to Aisha's team and looking forward to our next visit. Keep up the good work.

I headed up a Senior Class High School trip - 7 Seniors (4G/3G + M/F chaperones). We were able to rent this apartment + another in the same building. This apartment hosed the 3 female students + a chaperone. The logistics for this place were perfect. Having a kitchen was very practical. The location in Chelsea is outstanding - there is a CVS on the corner + Trader Joe's. laundry, Starbucks, and tons of restaurants within a short walking distance. It is easy to catch the train system from here as well. We were a short ride to downtown and uptown Manhattan. The apartments are safe & secure with multiple locks (inside apt door + outside entrance). Aisha & Winston are great to work with! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would rent this apartment again for a similar trip.

I stayed here for 10 days on a school trip with my daughter's class and had a wonderful experience! The apartment looked exactly like the photos in the listing. There were four of us that stayed in this apartment. It was small but clean and met our needs perfectly! There were plenty of linens, towels etc. The kitchen had everything we needed, silverware, dishes, glasses, etc. We even found a very nice umbrella in the closet to use when we had some unexpected rain. We had a hard time getting the air conditioning to turn on so I went downstairs to find Winston, the building supervisor. He came right up and got it going right away. Ran into Aisha outside the apartment and had a few questions for her. She was very helpful and very friendly! The location was amazing! Within just a few blocks there was a subway station, grocery stores, drug stores, and restaurants. Madison Square Park is right down the street with an awesome burger place right in the park called The Shake Shack. One night the girls and I were trying to decide what to do for dinner and happened to wander one street over to find the best Italian restaurant called Granducca! But I have to say my favorite was the Eataly store that was right around the corner! They have the best cappuccino and gelato! Overall, we had a great experience here and highly recommend it! Thanks to Aisha and Winston for a great New York experience!

My best friend and I (2 women over 50) stayed a week here, and as the title of my review states, the Chelsea location cannot be beat! Less than a block from 5th Avenue on one end, and 6th Avenue on the other, on a quiet street. The apartment is at the back of the building, so even when we had the windows wide open, we could hardly hear the sounds of the street. On Saturday and Sunday a bustling outdoor flea market was filled with treasures. As for the apartment itself, it was clean, and spacious enough for 2 of us, and we could easily see 4 (close friends or 2 couples) staying here. We had no issues with the elevator building, or with our hostess. I will definitely be renting this apartment again, if it is available. Thank you Aisha!

Apt was alright. There was some confusion on the owners part about the availability on the first night of our stay. She put us in another unit and did compensate us. The unit is very old but fairly clean. The unit was advertised as having a full size and twin size in the loft. It only has two twin size beds in loft. I contacted owner about this and she was not happy about the bed being changed out due to damage from previous tenant. We thought that she was going to see about getting a full size put back but that did'nt happen. The cable was off when we arrived but was quickly turned on. I tried to contact the owner later about finding a laundry mat close by, she did not answer and her voice mail box was full. In closing, this unit would be good for 4 people, but 6 is stretching it.

Great location, clean and comfortable and for a good price. The owner and superintendent were both very helpful and nice. If location and price are your biggest concerns, this is a great place to stay!

Although we had booked and paid for this apartment direct with the owner, we were not allocated to this apartment due to her confusion with names & dates! She did not offer any compromise or advice re: cost difference and agreed that a mistake had been made. She was quite rude when advised of a plumbing problem in the apartment which unexpectedly resulted, through no fault of ours, during our stay. In fact, she expected us to make some monetary contribution to any cost!! Our apartment was comfortable and clean but would suggest the owner prepare a "local kowledge" list of what to do with household rubbish, how kitchen appliances work, nearest subway station etc and leave a New York Guide to places & events in the apartment. The owner did not greet us or offer any of this informaton and we did not meet her until the plumbing problem arose!!. There were a few minor repairs needed in our apartment eg.towel rail in bathroom kept falling down, no plug for the kitchen sink, can"t use the bath due to the plumbing problem etc. The building supervisor was very helpful and courteous. This is a great location, very central as we enjoyed walking to many locations. Apart from these adverse comments, the apartment was clean and comfortable with plenty of linen. I would rent in this location again - just NOT from this owner.

Owner response: There is no laundry facility in this building. There is a coin/service laundry mat that offers pick up-drop off service one block from hte building. These tenants, on their 3rd day, decided to wash their clothes in the bath tub. The tub over flowed and caused a leak in the apt below. This is the "plumbing problem" that was no fault of theirs.I had to call in people to rectify this situation. These tenants never mentioned any apt confusion until after they washed their clothes in the tub and after we spoke about the leak it caused. They were informed prior that they could not get the original apt they wanted. My phone number is attched to every email I send out. I am always available no matter what time night and day to answer any questions and will come post hast if there is a need. The kitchen appliances consist of a toaster, microwave, stove, and coffee maker.I think coffee drinkers know how to use a coffee maker and every body else know pretty much how to use every other appliance. If not, then my phone is always on to answer any questions. I have a maid service that comes in after the departure of every tenant to disinfect and clean up all "rubbish" and scower the apt. There is a garbage shoot in the hall outside all the apt doors. I have left NY guides and they have been taken and not returned on several occations. I am more than happy to provide any information you need. There is also wifi internet access that can be used to look up each individuals wants and intrest. Last but not least it is stated that the Super was very helpful and I am always available yet neither of us was informed about any "minor repairs". Tenants break and loose things in my apts all the time that my maids and I don't notice sometimes. And every time I am informed of any problem or situation I rectify that problem immediately, but I need to be informed if anyone is not pleased. I aim to please all my tenants I am soft spoken and very curteous. Without my tenants I would not be able to do VRBO. Customer service is extemely important to me and I am not a rude person in the slightest.

This is a great NY apartment. It's got an older feel to it, but was spotless, spacious and fun. And the bed downstairs was too die for -- great linens, huge, just right mattress, loads of pillows. Exactly what I wanted after a long day of trade show and NY walking!! Bathroom was clean and stocked well. Kitchen was spotless and also well stocked with dishes, utensils, even a water filtration pitcher. Space was great for one, would be good for up to four comfortably, six if you're feeling "bohemian". Loved the location in the Flatiron district. There is a fantastic local map of the Flatiron district in many shops around the area -- shows restaurants, clubs, shopping, etc. And Fred, the building owner, was terrific, helping me find my way and even recommending a manicurist (also fantastic and right across the street). Easy owners to work with and I felt very much like a New Yorker living there.

The photos and description was exactly as stated. This apartment was clean, affordable, comfortable, and safe. The owner of the apartment was nice and accomodating. The building was quiet and clean. Centrally located to events, attractions, restaurants and shopping uptown and downtown. A variety of restaurants and stores were close by. I was able to walk and pick up groceries from Whole Foods and Traders Joes. The subway and bus were very accessible, which made commuting very easy. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone.

This was a great place to stay. The owner met us right when we got off the taxi and accommodated our bags until the apt was ready (we got in early). Very clean / well maintained. Within walking distance to 2 subway lines. Overall it was great, and it was way bigger than a comparable hotel room (and has a full kitchen). No doorman, but there were cameras everywhere and we felt very safe.
