Our light-filled, 3rd floor penthouse apartment is uniquely equipped with two spacious, private terraces. When large glass doors are opened fully, the beautiful plant-filled lower terrace becomes an extension of our living room for relaxed, indoor-outdoor enjoyment. Pepper and jacaranda trees add intimacy and color. With views of the town and mountains beyond, the sunny rooftop terrace offers more drama. It’s our favorite place to sip morning coffee while we plot the day’s excursions, or take in the sunset before dining out under the stars.
Inside spaces are bright and airy. The living room has windows all around and a gas fire to make it cozy when nights are cool. The simple kitchen was designed for efficient, informal meal preparation and it shares a skylight with the adjacent dining area.
Our apartment sits above a cool, lush, tropical garden — the focal point of a small condominium complex at the end of a private, gated cul de sac with an on-site manager and maid. The center of town is a relaxed 20 minute walk, or a 5 minute, $2.00 cab ride away. Available for rent either long-term or by the month or week.

I had a very nice 2 week experience in this rental. It looked and felt just as it is described here in this listing. As a female traveling alone I felt very safe here and it was approx 20 min walk into the city center. The walk is mostly a pretty one through a park and historic city center. I felt so much at home here and felt it was the perfect size for 1 or 2 people. It felt very authentic while being convenient and updated. The owners were very helpful in answering my questions and helping out with anything that came up. If you are older and have a hard time navigating steps I would say this property is not for you, but otherwise would highly recommend it! (Also I peeked at some nearby competition and this was head and shoulders over it for around the same price)
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway.
