  I stayed at this wonderful Belvedere home the week of March 14, 2011. I have stayed here before and absolutely love it. This home has so much warmth and charm that I always feel welcome and hate to leave. The owner's are so gracious in leaving books, games and all their many specialty herbs and spices for their guests enjoyment. The proximity to wonderful restaurants and shopping are a tremendous bonus. I was also only minutes away from San Francisco. I highly recommend this Belvedere retreat.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  My parents were here from New York and we wanted a place that would suit their needs and also have it be fun for eveeryone. The location was perfect with a fabulous view. I felt that I knew the house after seeing the pictures online. It surpassed our expectations. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies and spices which we enjoyed because we love to cook. We especially enjoyed going down the hill to town for coffee or a glass of wine sitting by the water. We took the ferry into San Francisco which was so convenient. Absolutely can't wait until next December....we will be back. Wish we could come in the summer the pool area is beautiful

  My family and I stayed in this delightful home and thoroughly enjoyed it. This charming, older home was in wonderful condition and had everything necessary to insure a terrific vacation. We used the pool almost every day and the extensive decking was perfect. The bedrooms were quite large and baths seemed to be quite new. The owner was kind enough to leave a pantry full of spices for our use. I recommend this rental.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing.

  THIS WAS A SUPER EXPERIENCE IN A LOVELY HOME WITH A FABULOUS VIEW. WE SPENT A WEEK THERE IN SEPTEMBER AND WERE VERY HAPPY-AND WE HAVE RENTED HOUSES ALL OVER THE WORLD. THIS ONE WAS SOOTHING WITH ITS MIX OF ANTIQUES AND CONTEMPORARY FURNITURE IN A VERY CLEAN ENVIRONMENT.

  I was having work done on my home in napa and stayed here. I found the house beautifully decorated with all the amenities one would expect. The view is spectacular. I enjoyed every minute of my stay.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

  This property is lovely with a splendid view. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I had construction on my house in Napa and considered it a mini vacation.

  The pictures of this house are completely deceiving! This is an old home that has not been well maintained. The house smells of mildew and the heavy perfume of the owner. There is barely room in the very tiny kitchen for your own food. Two of the bathrooms have no exterior windows. The pool is old and needs to be resurfaced. The owner is charging a high rent and doesn't even offer the use of their internet line which is locked inside an office or a garage. I have stayed in many VRBO houses all which have been better than the pictures and lovely. Stay away from this one.

  Owner response: RESPONSE TO- "DON'T RUIN YOUR VACATION!" Thank you for your review. I am confused seeing as how I am highly allergic to perfume, mildew and mold. Therefore, my home is professionally cleaned once a week. When it is rented I have the rugs cleaned and have a commercial crew come in to give it a once over. My home was closed up for a week before you came which might have caused a stuffy smell seeing as how we live so close to the water. My property manager came over right after your call and told me that she did not notice any smell. There are 2 large windows in one bathroom...a skylight in another and a window in the 3rd bathroom.. Yes, my kitchen is small but I make sure that there is plenty of cabinet and refrigerator room available. I have had plenty of happy people renting my home so I was really surprised with this review. Living in the area that I do I need to maintain my home as it is a very upscale neighborhood. Yes, my home is an older home like most of the other Belvedere homes this is what makes it unique...The pictures are not deceiving it is what it is....I My pool is maintained weekly and does not need resurfacing.Yes! I lock my office and the garage. Because we are on a private road there is plenty of parking and our area is very well secured. Everything that I have listed on my amenities is available to my guests. Thanks to you I will be offering wireless internet. Because my home was not your "style" does not give you the right to write such a scathing and untruthful review. also,
