Whether it's a romantic get away for two or lodging for out-of-town guests you're looking for, the Cottage at Little Riveria is the answer. The cottage sits on the banks of the Little River; a pristine, beautiful river that offers great fishing and water activities. It has three bedrooms and is fully furnished and equipped and provides a comfortable homey atmosphere. The Cottage was built circa 1900 as a general store and converted to a residence in the 1960's. The Cottage and the adjoining barn (former shoe factory and later a blacksmith’s shop) are listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
Little Riveria is located in the New River Valley of Southwestern Virginia in the southern Appalachian Mountains and is home to two major universities; Radford University, Radford, Virginia and Virginia Tech University, Blacksburg, Virginia. The area is a rural setting that offers long vistas and rolling hills that are primarily devoted to agriculture. The location is far enough into the country to provide a quiet, peaceful and restful environment yet is close enough to the surrounding communities to provide the amenities common to major university towns. The area is surrounded by natural beauty and offers numerous outdoor, family-oriented activities. Activities include: hunting, fishing, hiking, mountain and motor biking, golfing, antiques, shopping, canoeing/boating/swimming, outdoors barbecuing during the day and bonfires on the beach at night. In addition, Claytor Lake, New River, Claytor Lake Stae Park, New River Trail State Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway all are within a short drive from the cottage.
The cottage is owned and operated by a local couple who would be delighted to host your visit to the New River Valley. Pets and smoking are not allowed in the Cottage.

We spent a weekend here for Father's Day. The house was very comfortable and well equipped. It was one of the most relaxing vacations we had ever been on. The beauty and sound of the river flowing outside your door made this place so peaceful. The tubing was awesome as well. Also, Bill and Joy were very pleasant and willing to do anything to make your stay wonderful. We booked another vacation here as soon as we returned home!

It was a wonderful little cottage to spend the weekend while we visited a girlfriend for her babyshower. It was beautiful, restful, and very relaxing just what another pregnant lady needed :) Thanks for a wonderful stay. We will definately be back!! :)

We had a wonderful time!!! I would like to return and bring my two boys with me. They would love the river and a chance to go fishing… I will definitely make arrangements to come back. The cottage was cozy. The beds were comfortable. It was definately a home away from home. It's the perfect place to have a quiet and relaxing vacation. May 29th through June 1, 2009
