Pinecone retreat is a newly built cabin in 2008. It is in a great resort, Spiderlake resort. We are on a chain of 5 lakes. The cabin has a great view to the water and just down the hill is your dock. A little further over are 2 more docks and a swimming area.
This cabin is in a great recreational area. There are many other lakes nearby. Snowmobiling and ice fishing in the winter and ATV riding in the summer.
Just 5 miles away is Birchwood with many restaurants and shopping. There is also Doolitle park a great place for the kids to play. Just Rite on Main is a great shopping experience enjoyed year round.
Pinecone retreat is also setup for crafters. We have tables and chairs and a mini kitchen. Scrapbookers love to come here for a peaceful place to work on their projects.
We have all the conveniences of home in a country setting. A FREE bottle of wine or sparkling apple/grape juice awaits your arrival. Call ahead with your selection from our choices.

Year Purchased: 2007
Jean Boatman, I am a vacation home owner along with my husband Wayne. My husband drives truck and I am an interior decorator/painter. We built and designied this cabin with comfort and up north decor in mind.
Why the Owner Chose Birchwood
This home is for our enjoyment now and later when we retire. We have been managing a campground in this resort and love the area. We decided to build when the new lots became available and were first to get the best veiw of the lake.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
We enjoy the people who come into this area. There is fishing, Atv trails and many nice shopping and entertaining things to do in the area. There is snowmobile trails in the winter and ice fishing and just relaxing in front of the fireplace. I also designed the basement to be either a family game area or it can be transformed into a space for scrapbooking and other crafts for up to 8 people.

We had a good time fishing with 3 kids. Used the pontoon quite a bit. The veiw is great. Time went too fast. Thank you for letting us use your home it is very nice and we may build something similar, like the kitchenette downstairs. Brad and Shelly

What a week. 1/2 the week was sunny and goergeous and the other 1/2 wet and windy. Doolittle Park is an excellent place for taking the family swimming and its only 5 miles away. We had great times by the campfire and playing card games. The first night we caught tons of fish- I caught about a 36" northern- but lost him on the way to the net. Crappies were great early evenings-200 feet off our dock. Endless nights & early mornings sitting on the covered deck. Was so peaceful and relaxing. Such a fun get away- I can't believe it's over already. Kim & Russ & family The best part of the trip was that I caught a fish-we found Doolittle Park- I learned how to play the card game, golf and won them all. Noah (age 7) The best part about this vacation was that we found Doolittle Park and it is a nice and peaceful place to swim, tan and relax, Oh, and play. I also liked fishing on the lake, Oh and thanks for a nice vacation place. and this vacation house has a really nice veiw of the lake. Jordan (age 10)

We really loved this cabin! The kids and the grandkids had a great time. We did see a small bear about a mile from here... the wildlife is neat to see. We look forward to doing this again in the future. We also loved the way this cabin is decorated...would love our home to be like this. This was a nice get away. Dan & Peggy

Beautiful cabin, beautiful veiw! Our idea of a "cabin in the woods". with many luxuries. Margaret & Dan We think we found a pot of gold by finding this place-a little piece of paradise! So comfortable and quiet with just enough voices in the distance. We loved it here and couldn't have had a better time. You have truely created a heaven-on-earth. This place is amazing! We loved the cozy cabin decor and all the touches of home. We didn't want for anything! We caught a load of carappie, a few nice bass and a few smaller northern.(hint to those who fish- 7 to 8pm) We had a nice fish fry. Loved the trails and the beautiful peaceful scenery.
