The Creative Spirit is a yacht home with furnished luxuries . Renting this unique property is an amazing value in that for less than the price of a luxury San Francisco hotel room (that is often also smallish,) you are getting a 3 stateroom, 2 salon, 3 level yacht, over a 2000 sq foot lay out. The yacht home is in a natural, private and romantic setting. with a fully equipped kitchen, large outside decks and a state-of- the-art entertainment TV and sound system . And, we know of no hotel with anything close to the incomparable 360 degree views and natural environment that you will find floating at our dock.

The yacht is docked in one of the best weather areas in all of San Francisco --- a narrow micro climate “Rivera” sunbelt in Sausalito. If you have been to the south of France or Europe, you will know why its called the "Rivera of San Francisco". When you look out the yacht's windows for the first time, you will see breathtaking 360 degree bay views and views of the surrounding multi-million dollar estates. (180 degrees of views are completely open and unobstructed across the full SF bay because we are the last yacht on a modern, safe well lit dock.) This large yacht is a uniquely healing and artful environment away from the stressful road noises of SF. In addition to unbelievable natural surrounding there is quite a literary history in the area within several hundred yards of the yacht. Aldous Huxley the author of 1984 and Brave New World died nearby in his wife’s arms . Also two additional curiosities are; Carl Jung the world-renowned psychologist wrote a substantial part of the famous book, Man and His Symbols' here. The Beat Poet Allen Ginsberg had his famous floating pyramidal home just a stone throw away. Some very interesting people over the years have discovered the Rivera like charm and lived in Sausalito to just name a few.

'Creative Spirit' is a great base for your SF visit no matter if this is your once-in-a-lifetime vacation or, you are a regular business visitor who wants the extra features that only this one-of-a-kind rental property can offer. It is also ideal for unforgetable personal or business meetings, events or entertaining during your visit to SF Bay area and stay on the yacht.


The yacht is a 5 minute walk to the city bus system and a 15 minute walk to the famous San Francisco bay ferries, which also can take you to the city or the beautiful bay islands. The yacht is docked in the city of Sausalito one of the most tourist visited attractions in the SF bay area. There are first class restaurants and stores in walking distance from the dock. (We strongly recommend that you go to the Sausalito Chamber of Commerce web page and check out amazing photos of Sausalito and the "must see" short video on its many attractions on the top left hand side of this page. In the video you will see just how close you are to the heart of San Francisco.

Experiencing the spectacular bay sunsets and sunrises, tidal rhythms, the many birds and seals that regularly frequent the area near the 62 foot yacht as well as the smell of the ocean only adds to the romance of this memory-for-a-lifetime experience.

Even if you have never stayed on a large yacht before, it is easy. In many ways it is much like staying at a land-based home. The yacht’s experienced chief steward not only checks you in and out, but also explains everything that you will need to know for your visit. They are also available during your stay by phone to answer questions about the yacht’s visit-related features, the local culture and attractions or, fix any rare problems should they come up.

  • It has approximately 2000 inside sq. ft. There are breathtaking 360 degree bay views. It has two large salons with huge windows for relaxing or watching the birds and seals that come right up to the side of the yacht. It has a home sized air ionizer and is environmentally friendly. It has the largest solar installation on a yacht of its size (you do not have to manage it. LOL) The yacht is also beautifully decorated with all omni-denominational modern spiritual art. The yacht’s experienced chief steward not only checks you in and out and explains everything you need to know, but is also available to answer questions about the yacht’s systems or local culture should they come up. We have a super purified drinking water system down to 5 microns! Two of the baths contain showers. One shower has a sitting bench.

  • Our family had the tremendous good fortune of being able to book and stay at the Creative Spirit yacht for four nights in May. The yacht is spectacular with three bedrooms able to sleep six people very comfortably. In addition, a fourth bedroom can be attained by using the rear salon as an additional bedroom, so in essence the yacht can sleep eight people very comfortably. We had a family get together on the yacht and had over fifteen people on the yacht for dinner and it never seemed crowded. The yacht is located in Sausilito at the very end of the dock so you have a totally unobstructed and magnificent view of the harbor. The yacht has everything you need to be self contained for your stay, a servicable kitchen, three bathrooms with showers, a top deck, a front salon and a rear salon salon with a wonderful fifty inch plasma TV and surround sound entertainment system. The interior space of the yacht is approxiamately two thousand square feet. Lawrence and his staff are fantastic, explaining everything you need to know to enjoy your experience to the full extent possible. The yacht is within walking distance of many of the restaurants and shops of Sausilito which makes it convenient to explore this picturesque city. The yacht is just over the Golden Gate bridge so you can get into San Francisco within ten to fifteen minutes. The Creative Spirit yacht is a great find and bargain for anyone staying in the San Francisco area.
