Dating back to 1636, this newly renovated three bedroom farmhouse nestled in a private park of 3 acres is packed with original features while offering all modern conveniences. The house is situated 1 mile from the medieval village of Curemonte, among "the most beautiful French villages" and it is mentioned in the "Historic Monuments additional list". The village of Curemonte dates back to the 11th century and has been honoured with the title of "L’un des plus beaux villages de France".
Despite its numerous attractions (3 Chateaux, 3 churches and a market hall), it remains very much a working village, with a post office, bar/tabac and three restaurants. There is also a local farmers market once a week in the summer months. Beaulieu sur Dordogne, just 10 minutes from Curemonte and, as its name suggests, situated on the Dordogne River, is a small market town with many shops, several bars and restaurants and a twice-weekly market. The Benedictine Abbey and Chapelle des Penitents are in the centre of the town, canoes can be hired at the river, as well as boat trips on the traditional "Gabares".

The house is on two floors and comfortably accommodates up to 6 people.
The living area is around the original fireplace with wood burning stove, and is comfortably furnished with large sofa and armchair. There is satellite TV, as well as a selection of books and games for all ages. The fitted kitchen is fully equipped with a gas range and oven, dishwasher and fridge freezer, large eat-in kitchen- while the dining area comfortably seats 6.
Leading off the main area to the rear of the house are two bedroom with queen size bed and two single size which can easily be transformed to a double, and a separate bathroom with tub & shower and a separate 1/2 bath. Throughout the house you will find exposed stones, beams, and original features such as the "lou Cantou" wood burning fireplace dated from 16th century.
There are three excellent golf courses in the area, all of which welcome non-members at reasonable rates.

- Beautifully restored over the last 10 years by it's French owners, whose father comes from the village. Situated just 1 mile from the medieval village and the castle of Curemonte. The magnificent red sandstone house is set in 3 acres of meadow and woodlands, offering a peaceful and comfortable location to discover Curemonte and her surroundings. The house comprises of one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms, a large living/dining room which boasts a large “Lou Cantou” open fireplace, exposed beams and stone alcoves, separate fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, and separate toilet. The accommodation is set over the first floor of the house, with two of the bedrooms leading off from the living area and the third on the other side of the house on the second floor of the tower.
