Our house can be rented weekly, monthly or longer. 1920's Spanish units with craftsman detailing, hand hewn beams, cathedral ceiling, stained glass, and beautiful but child and pet friendly antiques. Add to that views that say country but we're in the heart of the city. Since this is a unique property which happens to be a legal duplex, you can rent one or two floors depending on your needs. Each floor is completely separate and self contained with different architecture, ambiance, furnishings and locks. We have both front and back stairways inside and complete privacy between floors so once you've closed the door behind you, your space is truly private.If you're with a larger group renting both units ,there are spacious common areas and spaces so both floors can be together for dining or talking or for group gatherings. I speak from experience on this issue. Our extended family and friends have used VRBO and similar sites many times while traveling or visiting others and it is great to have times together AND separate corners as well. The house went dark three years ago when my husband suffered a life threatening brain aneurysm, but he battled through adversity to survive it. Unfortunately he is no longer able to enjoy the house we have owned since the early 70's. He comes back and visits from time to time when he needs a break from the place he is at. We have since put light back into the house by hosting many wonderful people and families over the last year. Overlooking Minnehaha Creek, between Lake Nokomis and Lake Harriet, five minutes from the Mall of America and Minneapolis/Saint Paul International airport. Walking distance to dozens of shops and restaurants,parks,theatres, places of worship,lakes and recreation. There are 26+ miles of hiking, jogging, biking,rollerblading and walking paths literally outside our door which connect the lakes, Minnehaha Creek and the Mississippi River. During different seasons,walking, jogging, biking, canoeing, sailing, swimming, golfing,cross country skiing, sledding,and skating are just steps or within a half-mile radius. Eight minutes to downtown Minneapolis, 15 minutes to downtown St. Paul. We are three blocks to several bus lines with direct routes to the Mall of America, downtown Minneapolis, numerous hospitals and medical facilities, universities, museums and an easy transfer at the Mall of America to the airport, light rail, bus lines to all of Minnesota and surrounding areas. The Mayo Clinic is a one hour commute or you may take the hourly bus shuttle at the airport directly to the Mayo Clinic.
This is an ideal spot for families,friends, professionals, and reunions of all kinds, wedding gatherings, corporate or group retreats and business or special events.

All rooms but two on each floor overlook Minnehaha Creek. There is an award winning garden with small pond and seating in the front yard. The backyard is fully fenced, child and pet safe with brick and stone landscaping and various places to sit, have a picnic under the gazebo,relax in the hammock, or do your work outside on your computer.
The house has ambiance and charm yet is child and grandchild friendly. Numerous games, toys, and books for all ages are located on each floor. We have wireless internet, cable on all floors, an alarm system, central air conditioning, and are totally equipped to host small family dinners or large parties. We also have several aero beds, extra bedding, a playpen and high chair. Our home has hosted business events, large parties, reunions, retreats, wedding parties, and of course, many small family gatherings. We have even staged a couple filming sessions for videos and books.
We hope our beautiful, historic, and creative home can again host laughter, joy and growth. We promise you will find both a creative spirit and sense of restful peace within these walls. I was at the University at a conference. My husband hung out here. We loved the restaurants and culture nearby. What a great location! The ambiance was amazing in your house. I wrote so much and got lots of reading done in your garden.

We loved going to theTwins game from here. We parked close by and took the light rail. It was great. We also did this to go to the Guthrie and Symphany. It is the best of both worlds.Your house feels like it is in the country or suburbs, yet it is close to all the Downtown attractions. Also your neighbors are great and the parking very convenient.

The nearby public golf course was so good to have. I am a golf nut and this was couldn't be better. We also took advantage of the tennis courts a few blocks away and even played wiffle ball in the field across the street. Perfect rental.

Thanks for loaning us your spot to relax while seeing friends and family. We loved the neighborhood. We were not more then 20 minutes from any place in both cities. We love the creek here and you can't beat the amenities this neighborhood has.

We live all over the United States and picked Minneapolis since it was mid way. We biked and visited the Minnehaha Falls and the Mississippi River. We loved every second.
