Palm River Villa is a newly renovated Amman quality 5 bedroom 6000 square foot Balinese villa set on 1.5 acre garden with a private pool. The villa sits on the edge of palm river. It has views of the rice fields through which you can hike a short distance to the black sand beaches of the Indian Ocean.
The villa has a a traditional thatch roof with a large open pavilion and is accented with fountains, exotic vegetation and a large koi pond. The property is set on a gentle slope of a former ricefield and has its own organic herb and vegetable garden. Palm river enjoys cool ocean breezes which keep the need for AC to a minimum.
It's very much like an Amman resort with first quality furnishings, experienced staff and spa treatments. We have recently added a large pond with firepit and stone tub where you can relax and take a flower bath while you hear the soft rustle of the palm river.
Rooms are serviced twice daily with turn down service in the evening with fresh towels. Every room has a minibar, flatscreen tv, ipod connector , hairdryers and quality soaps and shampoos. Room service is available from 7 till 9 in the evening.
We are located in fashionable canggu which is a few minutes from the hustle and bustle of seminyak, but convenient to amenities such as the canggu club and exceptional restaurants such as Warisan and the renowned Tugu hotel. The staff of Ten can also accomodate bbqs and large parties.
The villa is surrounded by a large fish pond with many varieties of koi fish, lotus plants and other aquatic plants Centrally located amidst the serenity of the rice fields but close to Bali's most popular beaches, boutiques, restaurants and fashionable nightclubs. Palm River also is within walking distance some world class surfing on Echo beach (surfing contests most Sundays).
The nearest golf course, Nirvana (designed by Greg Norman), is less then 10 minutes drive away. Our specially trained staff will cater to your every need and provide you with expert guidance with regard to Balinese traditions and ceremonies which are integral part of life in Bali. Our master chef can prepare excellent world cuisine with herbs and vegetables form our own organic garden.

Why the Owner Chose Canggu
As a boy I loved a particularly fancy Chinese restaurant which had a large koi pond. I would make my mother take me there every year for my birthday. While she sat and ate with my relatives celebrating another year , I rolled up my pants and jumped into the koi pond trying to catch the golden fish. Every year I was grounded after my birthday . While I was grounded, I read jungle stories and dreamed of living in a thatch roofed house where everyone had smiles and it was ok to jump into koi ponds. At Palm River I found that magical place and finally satisfied my inner child.
