CHARMING OLD STONE HOUSE: This unique and charming home is located in a beautiful, private setting, surrounded by a mountain stream and overlooking hills of olive trees and the village of Fayence. The house overlooks a beautiful, terraced garden with a lily pond, boules court, and a private, secluded swimming pool. Both the house and the garden areas offer guests private areas as well as lovely places to come together. There is also the option of getting delicious and authentically prepared Provencal meals delivered to the house.
LOCATION: The bustling market of Fayence village (3 days/wk) is a 15 minute walk over the stream and through olive orchards. A boulangerie, bank ATM,grocery store, and tennis courts are a 10 minute walk from the house. There are other beautiful walks directly from the house and several vineyards and restaurants within easy walking, biking or short driving distances. It is also an excellent location to visit the coastal cities and towns along the Cote d’Azur (Nice airport--50 minutes; Cannes & beaches—30 minutes; St. Tropez 50 minutes). The numerous charming hilltop fortified villages are very close drives: (Seillans 10 minutes; Mons, 20 minutes; Bargemon; 20 minutes; Callian, Montauroux (15 minutes). Days trips to the dramatic Gorges de Verdon (1 hour); Aix en Provence (1 1/2hours).
ACCOMMODATION: This multi-level stone house sleeps 6-7 people very comfortably and is decorated with Provencal and Moroccan furniture and carpets.
MAIN FLOOR has two bedrooms, a WC, separate bathroom, a living/dining room with a piano and fireplace. The fully equipped gourmet kitchen has stunning views of the village, olive orchard, surrounding hills and opens to a large outdoor dining terrace.
LOWER LEVEL has a private studio with a queen size and a single bed, kitchenette, full bathroom and its own garden terrace surrounded by oleanders, citrus trees, climbing jasmine and bougainvillea.
UPPER LEVEL is a large Moroccan sun room with fireplace, two futons, comfortable chairs and large windows facing in all directions to views of the village and countryside.
