When I arrived at the house, the first thing I did was run up to the rooftop veranda where I was greeted with the most beautiful view of La Jolla! “Beary” impressive! Inside the house, I could not help but admire all of the beautiful details - exposed wood beams, unique artwork on the walls and modern furniture.

Next I settled into the back bedroom with the home theater system. All I can say is, “Wow!” I watched the National Geographic channel in stunning HD. The king size bed was very cozy. It was like sleeping on a cloud.

The backyard hot tub was a great place to relax and plan some activities during my stay. There’s lots to do in La Jolla. I took advantage of the barbeque on the lanai, swam and strolled along the beach, watched movies on the huge flat screen TVs and checked out the local restaurants.

Lucky for me, this house had way more than the ‘bear’ necessities— it had it all! The owner even provided beach towels and beach chairs. I’ll always remember my wonderful stay in this luxurious vacation home. I enjoyed beautiful beaches, relaxing nights, and finding the best fish tacos La Jolla has to offer.

  We stayed for a week over the Christmas holiday. The location was super, we could walk to the Starbucks and shops at Bird Rock... and the drive to LaJolla's central shopping and dining district was just 5 minutes.... This home was definitely "as advertised". The ocean views were much better than we expected. The roof top deck was awesome, even inspiring. The hot tub was clean and we used it ever day. The interiors were really so well done, so thoughtully executed. The only suggesstions we would offer would be to replace the living room sofas and chairs, which were not comfortable, though they have a great design and to offer more TV/Movie options. We would love to have been able to download movies and have access to HBO... or use the Apple TV. We'd have been happy to pay for it. Amazing property. Also, the 10 am ckeckout - and surprisingly harsh check out instructions were not customary. That said, this was a FINE property and we'd stay there again anytime. Our memories of this trip will be of wonderful wine and cheese sunset views and sunny ocean views from the master bedroom.

  We travel to visit our son at UCSD several times a year and love this neighborhood for the great coffee we buy at Birdrock cafe every morning and all the interesting people, children and their dogs who visit there. We enjoy this house because of its proximity to many beautiful old quiet charming California neighborhood walks. The street trees, gardens and beaches are outstanding in Bird Rock. Being a designer and well traveled, I really appreciated all the thought and fine details of the Tranquility house. The roof top sitting area is totally private, has ocean views and is completely tricked out with sail cloth drapes and canopy, a swivel double sized sun bed and cocktail lounge area. The hot tub and gardens both in front and in back of the house provided stunning quiet retreats and the home theater was perfect to settle down in front of at the end of our full active days. Whomever designed this house had an amazing vision that was executed beautifully. This is a perfect house to share with 2 other couples or family members who need privacy as separate bedrooms and bathrooms are completely separate and sophisticated. Thank you for sharing!

  Tranquility is a excellent description for the feeling in the home. Loved the house, was very cozy. Liked the location close to everything we needed. Great for running in the mornings close to the beach side.Vegetation on the house is amazing. Weather makes a real difference in San Diego. Thanks...

  This home is beautifully designed and appointed in a quiet neighborhood. The house is landscaped such that you feel as if are not in a neighborhood at all, but in a secluded spot. Everyone in our family enjoyed it. Highly recommend it.

Lives up to its description: Designer Tranquility There was a Starbucks within walking distance for morning coffee and a beach within a short drive. We liked Birdrock because it is less hectic than La Jolla itself. We just booked again for this summer, only wish we could stay for longer than a week.

  "perfect home" We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful designer home. The rental process was great and highly professional and the home and location was everything it promised to be. we would stay there again in a heartbeat.
