Aloha! Welcome to the Sunrise Beach House. Ideally located one house away from the white sands of Waimanalo Beach. Yes, the pictures on this site are of the beach just seconds away from your Beach House front door.
This home was extensively renovated in 2005 with a 300+ square foot deck, a 4000+ square foot yard, new floors, outdoor hot tub, kitchen cabinets & counters, appliances, inside/outside furniture, WIFI, etc. Don't count on a single dull moment during your stay. When you're not out on an island adventure, the Sunrise Beach House is everything you would expect of a home away from home.
Spend the day boogie boarding in the gentle surf, tan on the sand, read a book or stroll up and down the 5-mile shoreline!! Don't forget to reserve one morning to watch the Sunrise.
The Beachhouse comes with hot tub, boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach gear, linens, phone, cable, TV/VCR, stereo, A/C, full kitchen, refrigerator, washer/dryer, BBQ grill, etc. Come be our guest.

Our family of 6, with a 13 month old, had a wonderful time at Sunrise Beach House in Waimanalo!!! The house was very roomy & the big yard was a bonus! Unfortunately, we had a lot of rainy days during our stay so we were not able to take advantage of the BBQ grill & the big balcony w/ plenty of seating area. We went into the jacuzzi after swimming in the beach which was a great way to relax under a beautiful sky, surrounded by picturesque mountain ranges. The house was equipped w/ washer/dryer, which was a great life saver. Being a family friendly house, they provided baby high chair, beach toys, and baby gates as well. Waimanalo is a secluded beach. It is only 20miles away from Waikiki, yet you feel like you have escaped the bustle&hussle of the big city in no time. With a rental car, you can get to any place on the island w/ no problem. Nearby freeway (Pali 61) makes it very easy to get in & out of Waimanalo During our one week stay, we enjoyed the following places from Waimanalo: 1) kailua / lanikai beach (15mins) 2) doris duke tour/ honolulu art academy (40mins) 3) pali lookout (15mins) 4) north shore / scenic drive. up 83 down H3 (3hours) 5) waikiki, hanauma bay, diamond head, kahala (50mins) ** but mostly the beach house @ Waimanalo!!!! morning walks on the beach to see the sunrise! woken up by birds singing. and the food: 1) Sweet Home Waimanalo on 72hwy had very healthy, tasty food. We frequented there during our stay because of the quality of food but also the convenience. It was only few blocks away. 1-2mins drive 2) we were very sad to go into Mel's Market next to Sweet Home Waimanalo. Very empty and dilapitated. so just go down the street to Shima's for quick shopping. if not, go into Kailua to Foodland. they have good variety of fresh Pokes. we also went to costco in Hawaii Kai 20-30mins away. 3) Buzz's steak house (Kailua15mins) 4) Yanagi Sushi in (Waikiki25mins) 5) People's cafe (Waikiki25mins) 6) Kalapawai cafe (Kailua15mins) 7) Boot's & Kimo for breakfast (Kailua15mins) 8) Assiago Italian (Kailua15mins) 9) Giovanni shrimp truck (north shore60mins) 10) Dole Plantation in central oahu for lunch (40mins) ** coffee shops: morning brew in kailua, coffee gallery in north shore, honolulu coffee co in Manoa Surfrider Hotel Waikiki & rest of the time, we ate at home. If you like to spend your vacation in a relaxed environment but have the option to go into more developed quaint town, Sunrise Beach House is it!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

This was the most beautiful beach home we could have stayed in. Our family had a blast with Sunrise being our home base for our many island adventures. We could not have asked for a more perfect and relaxing place to come home to after a long day out on the island. Waimanalo beach is such a beautiful expanse of beach, and my kids (6 and 9yrs) loved it so much we had a hard time getting them to come home for dinner. Thank you so much for making this a memorable hawaiian vacation, and we would love to stay here again when we visit the islands next. We are not looking forward to heading back to the snow!!
