Why the Owner Chose Damariscotta Lake
I have vacationed on Lake Damariscotta my entire life. Our extended family owns cottages on the lake, making for a real family experience. My husband fell in love with it on his first visit, and we decided that someday it would be great to have a place of our own place. Well as fate would have it, we ended up finding a cottage that needed some "fixing up". My husband is extremely handy, and I had a few ideas of my own, so we quickly went to work on making this place our own. The transformation was tremendous, and we are thrilled with our Maine cottage!
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
Our cottage sits out on a small ledge, and when you are on the porch enjoying a meal it looks as if you are right over the water. We truly have one of the most magnificent views of the lake. For shopping we are not far from Damariscotta and Camden, plus many more charming towns. Food shopping is only 10 minutes away. There are so many things to see and do, or you can just sit back on an adirondak chair and stare at the lake all day... one of our favorite things to do!
