Money Magazine has named Chatham as one of the top ten places to live in the United States in its August 2005 edition. It has also been featured in Forbes, Sperling, and New Jersey magazines as best places to live.

The house is located in a colonial village that is reminiscent of a Norman Rockwell painting complete with a village green, victorian fire station, and historic homes. The village was site of Continental Army during its preparation for the Battle of Morristown with many of the original 1700's era homes still remaining. It has a rural, All-American, feel, and yet is only a short commute (about 45 min.) by direct train to Penn Station in New York City.

A fantastic alternative for a family or group visiting New York City. Shop and see the New York sights - come home to relax in your back yard, lounge on the deck, or hike through the forest. The home has a wonderful open floor plan which is great for entertaining and conversation.

It is centrally located to several New Jersey Highways (78, 287, and 24). You are only an hours drive to the New Jersey shore, the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, Six Flags Amusement Park, Princeton University, and many more historic and recreational sites.

Feel free to ask us about our optional sailboat charter on Long Island Sound, catered meals, or short stays in our Manhattan apartment.
