Overall this was a great rental. Location is perfect. On the 7th fairway of Glaze Meadow - the family enjoyed playing on the fairway after the last golfers played through. Basketball court, horseshoes and pickle ball courts next to the house and the Glaze Meadow pool complex is a short distance away - and you can take a path that does not cross any roads. The main living area - kitchen & living room have been recently updated and are very nice. Two big decks. Nice outdoor eating area and a propane fire pit for fun evenings. Only downside to the house is that - in our opinion - all of the beds need to be replaced. They were not comfortable. Nobody - including the kids - slept well. Additionally - the bed in the "queen" room - did not seem to be a queen and felt more like a full/twin. I may be wrong as I've had a king for many years - but it seemed small for a queen. The owner was easy to work with and great with communication. But for the beds - we would make it "our" house for our annual August trip.Owner response: Sorry about the beds Mark. We have replaced the King Master and Main Floor Queen (yes it really was a Queen:) with a King. The Upstairs Queen is not too old and will stay for now as this house only gets used about 6 weeks a year. Twins probably won't be replaced until next year due to budgetary constraints - again, these are seldom used not too old mattresses.

About the owner: We love our home at Black Butte Ranch. It has been remodeled and updated significantly over the last 15 years. Most recently, expanding the great room, adding deck space, wood floors, windows and doors in this area. Phase 2 will expand the upper floor bedrooms and bathrooms to suites in the next couple of years.
Why the Owner Chose Black Butte Ranch:
For many people there is no place like the ranch. We began going going there 20+ years ago and always dreamed of having our own home. In 1998 we were blessed with the ability to make that dream a reality. Our goal is to maintain this home as a legacy for our children and grandchildren who share our passion.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We are biased, but our home is simply one of the best locations on the ranch. Ideally situated on the golf course at the end of a long private drive off a small cul de sac and surrounded by open space, it is very private. Yet, within a 5-minute walk to the Glaze Meadow Recreation complex, where you can swim, work out, enjoy the playground, grab a latte or spend the day at the spa. Just beyond the open space behind the home is a family game area with Bocce Ball, Pickle Ball, Horse Shoes & a Full Basketball Court for your use. Hop on the bike trails and you can be anywhere on the ranch in minutes. This is not an ordinary rental, but rather a home, that is comfortable without being pretentious. We know most of our neighbors, many of whom are full time residents.
