Qualicum Beach is one of Vancouver Island's best kept secrets, but the village has long been the private playground of the wealthy and famous. Judges, politicians, business magnates, film stars, musicians and even the British Monarchy have Summered here. The village has a very active arts and music community with many exhibits, galleries and performances throughout the year. The charming village centre has many unique and interesting boutiques for some enjoyable browsing. The central location of Qualicum Beach makes it a good base to explore much of what Vancouver Island has to offer. Six major Provincial parks, from caves to waterfalls to ancient forests are within a 20 minute drive. Tofino and Long Beach National Park are a spectacular 2 hour drive and the Provincial capital of British Columbia, Victoria is also a 2 hour drive. Golf enthusiasts will find no less than 6 exceptional courses nearby. Nature abounds not only on the sea shore, but on numerous walking trails throughout the area.

My husband & I moved to Vancouver Island in 1978 and fell in love with Qualicum Beach. We feel privileged to have raised our family of three in it's small town atmosphere and to have enjoyed its natural beauty every day.
