Most Well Appointed Rental I think I have ever seen!

So..allow me to begin by explaining that I am pretty high maintenance. Some might even call me "difficult." when it comes to travel. I want what I want when I want it. And for this weekend, I wanted an unobstructed, fabulous view, steps to the beach, nice, non-tacky decor, comfortable bed and a home that was more like someone's home than a rental. This place DELIVERED. From the well-stocked kitchen/pantry (spices, sugars, oil and vinegar, coffee filters and DUAL pots) to the wonderful view on the patio (that looks smaller than it really is) to the supersoft master room bedding to the tower fan I needed because Im always warm, to the selection of pots, pans, cookware....to the binoculars on the shelves and the digital cable on the flatscreen...to the recommendations by the owner, as well as the books with menus and local activities and dining information... I was truly happy. I have rented from MANY places in my time..and this was absolutely one of the best, most comfortable places I have stayed at. Looking forward to going back! NOTE: If you have someone disabled, or with arthritis or some kind of injury...this probably wouldn't work because of the sheer # of steps throughout... but otherwise REALLY great.

This is our second time to stay at the La Selva Beach house. It is a perfect fit for our six adults and three small children family. There is plenty of room for all of us to sleep, eat and relax. The kids love playing on the beach - they could play in the sand all day. The house is beautifully furnished with everything we need for eating in. MJ is great to work with - no problems at all. The view of the ocean and the sound of the waves are wonderful! We can't wait to come back!

What a wonderful house you have! We had such a great time - the rain even added to the event! Everything we could have possibly wanted or needed was in one cupboard or another. I will definately be back! I just wanted you to know that of all the many houses I have rented in my life, yours was the most comfortable. We loved all the family pictures and personal touches and really felt like we were at home. Thank you so much!

Loved the townhouse, the location, the sound of the ocean, the great amenities. We ate, shopped, played games and generally relaxed and unwound. I am looking forward to renting the place with my 3 sisters for a sister weekend.

Wonderful Vacation Spot!

We just spent a couple of days here and it was not near enough time! The unit was just as described - newly remodeled, clean and comfortable. The decor was welcoming and fully accomodating. It was well stocked and well maintained. You can tell that the family who owns this unit appreciates the value of its location and is anxious for others to enjoy it as well. There are info books placed around the house which provides tide info, local bird info and even a book of recipes! TWe WILL be using this unit in the future - we are grateful for the family who is willing to share their home with us. It was a wonderful stay and we are already planning another for next year!

Our group of four couples fell in love with this location; and the beach is not crowded. We viewed sea otters, sea lions, dolphins, and surfers from the deck; and enjoyed nightly bonfires on the beach. It was a great base to have as we visited the Monterey peninsula, Big Sur, and explored Santa Cruz. PLanning on coming back sometime in the summer of 2011. Thank you Syd and MJ.

We LOVED this beach house. It's tastefully decorated and fully stocked. It's more comfortable than my own home. The view and sound of the ocean are the best! The owner is very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely come back. Thanks, MJ!

My family and I had a wonderful, relaxing vacation at this fantastic beach house. Took care of it like it was our own. My 4 1/2 yr. old grandson cried when we were leaving. He didn't want to leave his "new house". We'll be back!

Hello, My parents rented this house for all of us children/grandchildren this summer. It was gorgeous!! I can not say enough about the house, amenities, view, etc. We will be back for sure. We made many new memories in your house and want to thank you for sharing w/ us.

No picture OR description could do this rental justice. It is beautiful, luxurious, contains any convenience you could imagine, and the perfect setting for a dream vacation. 8 adults DO fit very comfortably. The owners were helpful and professional with all my questions. I highly recommend this rental (just not on a time that we want to go back!)
