We visited Utah for a ski trip. The staff were outstanding - very understanding and helpful. Also, the discounts offered on rental ski equipment and lift tickets were excellent and much appreciated. And the skiing was excellent.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Just got back. We stayed here for the summer holiday. Location was perfect. We went to the parade and walked to the shopping mall. Was so much fun. House was nice, suitable, a bit old, but we expected that. The furniture was newer and nice. Kitchen was appropriately stocked. Pictures were acurate. Front porch is not as new as the photo shows, but still functional. For a downtown home for the price and location, not bad.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We stayed over the 4th and loved the location. The home is older but nice. It's got nice updated furniture and teh dining table was large enough to seat 8. The beds were comfortable. We were able to walk down to the shopping mall and took the train to downtown to see the new mall. We had a blast. The kitchen was adequately supplied to cook a meal for 10 of us. We'd recommend staying here with 6-7 people.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

Salt Lake City was totally not what I expected it to be. It was actually a fun scene. The hose was nice, older, but comfortable. The kitchen needed more seating, but we just ate on the couches while watching TV. The hardwood floors were nice. Beds were comfortable. Fun location. We enjoyed being in the middle of hte nightlife scene and checkin out the ecclectic shops nearby and lots of dining options within walking distance. We'd stay here again if we ever return to Salt Lake. Not bad for the price.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Home is cute, awesome location. It's an older, restored home so knowing that when you rent it kind of makes it more nostalgic. The electrical seemed to be fixed and no problems for us. There was even a hot tub out back under the canopy roof. It's a cute little house, perfect for about 6 people. We walked to Trolley Square and shopped and also took the nearby street car to the heart of downtown. For the price we could find anything to beat it, especially considering the great great location.Recommended for: Sightseeing.

As we checked in our first impression was of a cute historic property, which we loved. Then we saw that there was an extension cord running up the stairs. As we checked further we saw that there was no working electricity to the entire upstairs (3 bedrooms and 1 bath). We immediately called Utah's Best Vacation Rentals and were offered another house which was about 20 miles away. That did not work for us so we talked some more and were offered one night rebate. We decided that would work for us. The rest of our stay was uneventful. BUT, we are 3 weeks out and I am still trying to get UBVR to give us our refund. They have evasive and rude on the phone. I haven't given up but I am really frustrated and I would never use UBVR again or ever recommend them to anyone. I am still hoping they will live up to their verbal agreement.Owner response: Thanks for your feedback Elaine. We are sorry about the problem with the electrical issues we were experiencing. Prior to your arrival, we had an issue that we were unable to get our electrician to fix fast enough. For some reason we were unable to get the upstairs electrical to work despite our exhaustive efforts. That's why we offered you an upgraded, much nicer home a few minutes away. I believe the issue with your refund has now been resolved as promised. We're sorry the alternate home, albeit much nicer, was more of an inconvenience for you, but we worked really hard to accommodate you and hope you will try us again. This home has since been fixed, and we even added a nice hot tub in back, which is a nice feature to enjoy.

Nice ski trip this year. We came early this year because it was cheaper. Brad and Utah's Best was splendid to work with. A housekeeper even showed up during our stay to bring us more towels (we asked for more). It was a very pleasant, value-added experience, one we haven't had while staying in a private home before. I think we are sold on the idea now. Great house, we'll be back.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Came in for business (2 nights), home was perfect, greatly helped us solve some logistical nightmares with our lodging complexities. We appreciated the service and help when we checked in (Jeril was amazing, he even took all our bags for us to our rooms upstairs. wow, who does that?) We loved teh house and love VRBO!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We walked to train station and Trolely Square. The home is not right in the heart of downtown, its a few blocks closer to University, but because the public transit is right there you can get to where you want downtown with just a train day pass. It was great. We stayed here for Christmas 2010 and loved it. Lots of snow, the beds were nice, the fireplace had a few issues, but we got it working with some help. We recommend staying here if you like staying downtown, close to everything.Recommended for: Sightseeing.
