Located at the end of a private lane, the house boasts breathtaking valley and mountain views from two large decks. Located across from Dimple Dell park, and 5 minutes from the grocery store. Easy access to Alta, Snowbird, Solitude, Brighton.
This house has three levels. The lower level consists of the kitchen which has breathtaking views, family and dining rooms (also with views), living room, laundry room and 1/2 bath. Mid level consists of 4 bedrooms: three of them have one set of bunk beds and tv/dvd/satellite, and one has two sets of bunk beds. This level has two full bathrooms.
The upper level consists of the master bedroom which has mountain views and a private bath. Also on this level are two more bedrooms, each with one queen bed, and a shared full bath.

Year Purchased: 2005
We live in Ohio and have three teenaged kids. Once they are all grown and moved away, we plan to relocate to this amazing house in Sandy. So although for now it's a holiday ski place, it will eventually be our full time home and we treat it as such. This photo is a few years old, but the smiles never change. We love the mountain air and the greatest snow on earth!!
Why the Owner Chose Sandy
We skied for a few years in Jackson Hole. Then we decided a shorter "commute" from Ohio made sense, so we started skiing in Utah. We stayed at Deer Valley for a couple of year, and tried the resorts there. People kept telling us that the "real" skiers went to Alta. And while we think that "real" skiers can and do ski in Park City and Deer Valley - we found that the culture and snow in Little and Big Cottonwood Canyons appealed to us. Rarely do we wait in line to ski, and if we do, it's a short wait. The snow is AMAZING - almost always powder to be found somewhere. We like Sandy, and our house's location particularly, because we are close to skiing, but also to restaurants, shopping, theaters, etc. The best of both worlds!!
The Unique Benefits of this House
One of the best things about our house, aside from the views from the main living level, and the convenience to airports and skiing, is the fact that the hot tub is right outside the kitchen sliding door. So, after a day of hard skiing, we can hop in the hot tub, and look at the snow covered mountains of Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons. Another great feature is the huge kitchen, with a table seating 6, an island seating 6, and a dining room adjacent seating 8. Dinner with family and friends is a big part of our time in Utah, and our kitchen and eating areas are perfect for communal dining!
