Our gracious and charming 6 bedroom farmhouse is well-equipped for small or large groups and can serve up to 18 guests. The kitchen is well-stocked with quality equipment and plenty of pots and pans. The bedrooms are private and very comfortable and match the country hominess of days gone by. Remember sleeping porches? Try ours on a moonlit night with a star-filled sky. You can actually see the stars! The Swan's nest is close to town for the modern conveniences yet seemingly a step back in time when relaxation, reconnecting and rejuvenation were more important for family vacations.
What can you do on 50 acres of waterfront property? Explore with a morning walk and a cup of coffee. Watch the sunrise over the Little Choptank River and Fishing Creek. Enjoy the par 3
golf course right on the property. Play any number of outdoor games like volleyball, basketball, soccer, frisbee, wiffleball and horseshoes on the spacious lawn. Bikes are provided so take a long bikeride. Stroll down to your 120 foot deepwater pier (you can even jump off and swim in the creek). Enjoy the canoe, kayak, jonboat and jetski. Relax on your sandy beach. During season catch delectable crabs right off the pier and cook them up for dinner. Tired yet? Go back to the house and collapse in the comfortable hammock!
The Swan's Nest offers an incredible array of wildlife that calls
our 50 acres "home". You may see the beautiful and majestic American bald eagle, bobwhite quail, wild turkeys, whitetail deer,
Canada geese, various types of ducks and, of course, cottontail
rabbits. Fishing Creek, the Little Choptank, and the Bay,offer a multitude of fishing opportunities and a variety of species, includ-

We had an awesome time at this house over the New Year holiday! Hap went out of his way to accommodate us and even had wine waiting for us when we arrived. The place is so large that you could easily accommodate a couple of families. Kids would love all of the activities. There are two separate living areas (one upstairs and one downstairs) and a beautiful second floor glass/screen enclosed room where the views of the water are amazing! This was our favorite part of the house....just sitting in that room enjoying the views. The fireplace was very cozy. Our dog loved playing Frisbee in the huge back yard and walking down to the ponds to visit the ducks. There is even a fenced in area if you worry about taking your dog out without a leash. There is a very large dock if you want to bring your own boat or you have access to a rowboat, kayak, canoe, or paddleboat. We are definitely coming back at a warmer time of the year to enjoy all of the other water activities. The sunsets were beautiful! This house is so close to Blackwater National Refuge where we saw loads of bald eagles, golden eagles, too many species of ducks and geese to begin naming, great blue herons, and even saw an endangered Delmarva fox squirrel. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

We were lucky to come here for a long weekend away at the last minute. It was just what we needed- the kids played ping-pong, board games, and used the huge lawn for soccer and short golf practice, played horseshoes (there must be some trick to throwing those) volleyball, and we all used the boats that were there. I walked around enjoying nature and mostly did crossword puzzles on the porch! I appreciated having so many things - like boats, volleyball setup, etc, onsite so we didn't have to go places or bring things. The rooms were very comfortable! ps. The owners are so nice and the caretaker that lives nearby is great -even came out from his birthday lunch to help get a boat going!
